Hey guys this is an idea I had sometime back even since I started reading a fic called "Yu-Gi-Oh! The Paladin Arc" by Geoffro Madness. And you also read my earlier note where I decided to fix things up for grammar correction, and editing the duels to fit things, and add more content. Let's take a look, and see. Things from Season 2, and 3 are still happening, and there will still be updates just with extra content. Here's our Q/A from chapter 82:

To anyone who's able to answer, after seeing Dan's multiple decks and the different Summoning mechanics would you consider adding any to your strategies? (Basically things like Chie or Yuji adding Xyz or Synchro, Celina maybe adding Xyz, or something like that.)
Yuji: Actually yes from this. In Duel Links, I had used my Deck with this tuner called Pain Painter which allows me to Synchro Summon Level 6s easily, and then I once Fusion Summoned, this Dragon that uses Zombies so of course I'll incorporate those in my Deck.
Chie: For me, I don't know. I don't even know what kinds of monsters to use.
And everyone else is still deciding on that. But we will find out.

Just wanna say i managed to Read all your adventure in a week...and i love It. Okay. Question: From what i see you showed Great ability to wield all the Summon Method but...dont you feel a bit stagnant ? I mean i noticed you are weak to burn damage and a bit to banish which can cause huge problems to you. Have you something in mind to fix It ? Maybe a temporary way to convert Burn damage in LP Boost ? Like using Prime Material Dragon ? What you think ? And for banish you could use a Necroface or put a card that use the banished cards in case. Still you are an Amazing duelist and i hope that One day i will challenge you. I know you will beat me anyway ahahha
Dan: Well I don't know, Prime Material is a good card, but honestly not really sure if I can use that. And of course I can duel ya one day.
Summary: It was a fine warm day to where the students of You Show Duel School worked against the Leo Institute of Dueling to lift the charges of mentioning that Yuya had attacked a Leo Student using an Xyz Monster ending with Gong having a draw in the third duel to where a young boy named Dan Kizami had arrived in the Standard Dimension through unknown means, and has arrived at You Show to take over the last Duel in Yuya's place for an even playing field. What is the mystery behind this young man?

"Ugh where?" a young boy's voice said slowly waking up in a ally-way as he walked out looking around surprised showing he is a fair-skinned young man that has riled brown hair wearing a blue short sleeve shirt that has a horizontal yellow line. He is also wearing a pair of black shorts that house a belt with a pair of NIKE Shoes that are blue, and white with a blue logo on it. He also has blue eyes which are widened surprised from he is somewhere else, "This isn't home..." He walked around taking a look around noticing he is in a city but nothing that he can recognize but feels a sense of Déjà vu from it. Deciding to find out where he is he walked around before asking a random man, "Uh excuse me sir? What is this place?"
"Huh?" the man looked over seeing the boy, "Oh just a kid. Your in Paradise City."
"Paradise City?" the boy looked around hearing that finding the name familiar before he sees something on his arm which looked like a small tablet hooked on his arm, and looking down to his belt were three small boxes each with a different color which are Red, Yellow, and Blue, and after taking a look inside the Red Box he was surprised seeing the card he lifted up.

"Red Dragon Archfiend... How are you-" He looked at the other boxes he sees that their are holding two cards a purple one called Archfiend Black Skull Dragon, and blue one that has on it called Hieratic Sun Dragon of Atum. Seeing a button on the tablet he pressed it before it came to life showing a red energy blade on it as it suddenly spurt out two small slots both of which are empty.
Getting this he soon realized that this was a Duel Disk which he soon realizes he is in a Yu-Gi-Oh! show. He is a big fan of the show, and is often a great duelist to where his favorite monster type is Dragons, and uses a Deck each with summon method on them along that he plays a site called Yu-Gi-Oh! PRO Dawn of a New Era to practice his Decks against other duelists to where all three of them are well-balanced although with him being a kid he still has a bit of trouble though he is still learning great strategies.
Back on topic the boy who's name is Dan Kizami, is a young kid who just turned 10 years old he doesn't have any parents since he doesn't remember them leading many to believe he's an orphan at a young age with a note leaving him. He often looks a bit jealous at others who had parents, and grows up with foster care though they didn't seem to care about him much leaving him do whatever he wants, and tells him he can do things himself if he wants things so from that point of view he decides to help caring for the Earth; like for example he works with community service clearing from pollution.
He also spends a Newspaper Routine which wasn't as common as it once was, and had even mowed lawns in hot days which he didn't mind while getting a few sunburns then, and there but he sure didn't mind to where he also made a lemonade stand charging his customers 1 Dollar a Cup. Everyone loves his days of hard work, and his urge of helping out mother earth, and with the money he earned he uses it to take care of himself like buying some clothes, pay for feed, getting school supplies since foster care didn't seem to care about him, and then he focuses over Yu-Gi-Oh.
He discovered it when he was six when he first started watching the first installment which was Duel Monsters, and he couldn't stopped thinking about, and continues seeing it till this day, and recently a new installment was released, and it shows of this new summoning mechanic that was very different from the rest. He recalls it might be something called 'Pendulum Summoning' or something but he only watched a few episodes up to the point where he seen this kid named Sora dueling Yuya, and was defeated. That was where our story begins.
After he finished watching said episode he walked to his Decks smiling before seeing one of his cards are glowing before it glowed too bright before he passed out before waking up to where he is now. That was when he realized something gasping before asking the man, "Hey... Isn't this the city where You Show Duel School, and the Leo Institute are?"
The man only let out a nod, "Yeah that's right. Why you looking to apply?"
"Yes, where's You Show?"
"Come with me."
The man lead Dan to You Show as he looked around in awe with a excited smile to be in the world of Yu-Gi-Oh. He wonders what he can expect here, maybe he's already to where Yuya met Sora, or perhaps the beginning where Yuya had dueled the Sledgehammer? That will help him have an advantage for up ahead to know what's gonna happen so he can help Yuya better understand Pendulum unlike that match he had with Zuzu where he thought he can Pendulum Summon only if he's in a pinch. It's gonna change things but for the better.
"Okay we're here."
Dan looked up seeing they arrived at a small building that said 'You Show Duel School' which he smiled bowing to the man, "Thank you sir." The man nodded back with a smile walking off back where he was before before Dan took a deep breath entering just when he heard a familiar voice yelled, "...tie! The last duel is over!"
"Was that... Mr. Boyle?" Dan asked quietly walking where he heard it before shivering from hearing a cold woman voice said, "Then we'll have another duel. The one's who won their duels can duel against each other now. Agreed?"
"You shouldn't get to decide! Leave it up to the duelists!" he heard Mr. Boyle's voice argued.
Finding a doorway where the voices are coming from he heard, "Your boy looks like he's raring to go. And so are we."
"Wait." He heard a cool, and calm collected voice stated as he peered through the door, "I'll be the one to duel."
He soon looked over the door to see several people which he recognized. It was Yuya who has green, and red hair with a bang having on a red shirt with green baggy pants, and a white yellow lined jacket like a cape on with his goggles down with Zuzu Boyle who is a pink haired girl wearing a short skirt and a tank top with a bracelet on her right wrist, Gong Strong who has on a white suit with a red vest with some sashs, and his hair in a style, and the three kids Tate, a blue-haired boy wearing a black vest, and a short sleeve white shirt with beige pants having on shoes, Allie, a red haired girl with a headband with a white longsleeve shirt with a black short skirt, and shoes, and Frederick, a green overall boy with green hair, orange shirt, and black shoes, and Sora, a blue-haired boy in a ponytail having on a blue jacket that has on a black shirt, green shorts with long socks, and black shoes on.
That was before he began noticing that he was a bit closer to four people who among them are a black curled haired, red suited woman, a purple haired teen with a purple jacket, and white pants, a dark-skinned girl with long brown hair with a blue shirt on with a yellow undershirt that has sleeves almost like a dress that stops under her waist to the beginning of her legs with black shorts underneath having a belt, and purple shoes, and a brown haired boy that has a fang, and wearing a white jacket with it's sleeves torn with a purple suit on black shoes, and having a bamboo sword.
He looked to see that they were are staring at someone he recognized. Upon further inspection he soon realizes it was Declan Akaba who is a silver haired young man having on glasses with a red scarf with a longsleeved purple shirt on with white pants on, and white shoes. He wasn't very fond of the show but he did remember a couple of his friends saying the name of this guy he seen talking to another character called Sylvio Sawatari where he swiped Yuya's Timegazer Magician, and Stargazer Magician at least he remembers.
"Poor Yuya must be in a nervous wreck." Allie said a bit worried.
"If he doesn't win..." Frederick trailed off.
"This school's there's." Tate finished.
"Yuya..." Zuzu trailed off worried.
"Yuya forgive Gong for failing ya. Gong wanted to save You Show Duel School." Gong told his friend guilty that he wasn't able to win, and now putting a lot of pressure on his best friend, "But it wasn't meant to be coming down to one final duel, and the pressure's on you."
"No it's not. It looks to me like Yuya's as cool as a penguin as an iceberg." Sora stated dully as they looked to where he had explained, "I bet he's all psyche when it came down to him for this one last duel."
Deciding to even the playing field he walked in asking, "Well shouldn't it be fair if it was someone different then Yuya?" Everyone all turned to him surprised they didn't noticed him before as Tate asked startled, "Who are you?"
"Name's Dan Kizami." Dan smiled bowing politely before he said to them, "I would like to take part as this last duel." He crossed his arms pointing out, "It wouldn't be fair since he had seen Yuya's Deck before."
"Oh why don't you run off, there isn't anyone else that Declan can duel." Dan looked over to the woman who said that with a smirk, "Besides there ain't anymore You Show Duelists he can duel."
"No, but I am gonna duel him anyway." Dan said to the woman before saying, "I am planning to apply for this School so that means I kinda count as a You Show Duelist." He then turned to Deckan saying, "Since Yuya had already dueled you seen his deck, that would be unfair."
Indeed this seemed to work as Declan stared at him before shifting his eyes to Yuya before turning back to Dan while the woman said to Dan with a smirk, "I do wonder if your gonna do anything against him little boy. You have no idea how strong my Declan really is."
Hearing that Skip couldn't help finding the name familiar, and started to check things out on the name 'Declan' before said man stated to everyone, "The time for talk is over don't you agree? Out on the dueling field it's actions that count. Words mean nothing."
Dan agreed nodding, "May the best duelist win." He offered a hand to Declan who stared at it before taking it shaking it before they stepped out to the field while Skip readies his place though worried after looking up the data, "What Action Field suits you best?"
"You're free to pick." was Dan's simple reply from his opponent.
"In that case sir please activate the Field, Dreamland!" Dan smiled up to where Mr. Boyle who is Skip.
Skip hearing that checked over before pressing the button declaring, "Get ready to get set I activate the Action Field Spell: Dreamland!"
At that the arena was wrapped around a small kingdom where it's floating at the sky with a small waterfall at the cliff, and a somewhat great blue sky was there. Dan finds this quite fitting since it's one of his favorite field spells, and knows his dreams are coming true at being in a Yu-Gi-Oh! anime even though he has very little knowledge of this installment.

You can use Action Cards, but you can only have 1 Action Card in your hand.
The kids, Gong, Yuya, and Zuzu looked at the Action Field in awe from never hearing of this field while Sora looked a little surprised while Allie gushed, "Whoa, how pretty!"
"Dreamland? I never heard of this Action Field before." Zuzu said in awe.
"It's actually one of favorite field spells with great effects." Dan explained before taking out his three Decks, "But more of that is later, now I gotta pick a Deck to use." It made several people sweatdrop before he looked to Declan offering, "Hey since your my opponent why not you pick?"
"Very well." Declan nodded believing that's fair looking over the three before selecting, "I'll pick the Red One."
Dan smiled placing the Deck in his Disk, "Alright. Good choice." He put the other two on his Belt before placing the other cards that are not suppose to be in the Main Deck in his Extra Deck which is something only Declan noticed who thought, 'He has an Extra Deck with that one?'
"The Leo Institute has chosen it's champion!" Zuzu started to use the Action Duel chant.
"They plan to take on You Show's newest student!" Tate added.
"And they'll ride among the field!" Frederick put in his part.
"And we're about to witness the ultimate school duel!" Allie placed in her saying.
"Along with seeing the great skills from these two competitors!" Yuya picked up from there.
"Action...!" The five began to say.
"DUEL!" They both declared as the Action Cards were were split.

Let the duel commence!
Dan looked over his hand seeing his hand which are how he sees them back at home excited he is gonna have a real duel but remembers how he does it. Normally he, and his opponent would use 8000 LP instead of 4000 but he has to respect the show's rules so he is gonna work with 4000 which will be harder to remember but he can work around it, and also remembers that the First Turn Draw thing doesn't happen anymore starting with ARC-V's arrival so he won't draw at the first turn which is an easy thing to remember. He is also a fair lad so he asked Declan, "Okay since you allowed me to pick an Action Field you go on first. It's fair right?"
When he said that Declan raise an eyebrow ever so slightly. "Oh? You think of this as a thanks? Your that type of kid are you?" That only made Dan raise an eyebrow as he tilt his head in confusion not getting what he meant asking, "Uh what do you mean, exactly?"
Declan 1st Turn:
"Forget it." Declan shot his question down seeing he doesn't know what he means, "I'll take up your offer then."
He looked at his hand before taking a card from it saying, "I'll start my turn by playing three spell cards. One of them is Dark Contract with the Gate." The spell shows itself showing what looks like a scroll being shown by a demon.

During your Main Phase: You can add 1 "D/D" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Dark Contract with the Gate" once per turn. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: Take 1000 damage.
"Once each turn I can add a D/D monster from my deck to my hand." Declan started adding a card showing it is a blue, and gold decor like creature having green slime on with one eye, "In exchange for this once a turn, I take 1000 points of damage.
'Dark Contract, and D/D? A Fiend Archetype that can use summon methods...This is gonna be tough.' Dan thought recognizing the cards believing he's in at a hard time.
"D/D?" Frederick asked confused at never hearing it.
"It stands for 'Different Dimension'." Sora answered his question. "Those monster are out of this world."
"But still why would he put his Life Points at risk like that?" Zuzu asked confused, and shocked Declan would play such a risky spell card.
"Now for the second spell it's called, Dark Contract with the Entities." Declan stated activating a second Continuous Spell showing itself as a piece of paper of old newspaper in a notebook that has fancy writing on a old wooden desk lit by a candle, and a human hand is reaching for the paper.

When a "D/D/D" monster of the below card type is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck to your field: You can activate the appropriate effect once per turn;
● Fusion: Gain 1000 LP.
● Synchro: Your opponent cannot target that Special Summoned monster with card effects.
● Xyz: Banish 1 card from the field or the Graveyard.
● Pendulum: Draw 1 card, then discard 1 card.
Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: Take 2000 damage.
"Whenever I summon a D/D/D from my Extra Deck, I can activate an effect based on what D/D monster it is. However, as payment for this card's effect I take 2000 points of damage."
"What!? By doing that when his next turn comes he'll be..." Gong trailed off in shock not seeming to get the Extra Deck part Declan just mentioned.
"3000 points weaker!" Zuzu cried shocked at the risky move Declan is making while Yuya just stared shocked at how Declan is doing it.
Dan had blinked asking, "Hey, ya sure you wanna do that? Losing 2000 points like that is a giant risk to take."
"Indeed." Declan adjusted his glasses agreeing before saying, "But by using it's abilities, I can use them for something grand. Let me show ya. The example is this this! I use D/D Swirl Slime's ability in my hand!" He shows the card he added before along with a skull monster, "I can Fusion Summon by using this card, and the D/D Necro Slime in my hand without using Polymerization!"
That made Sora gasped a bit in shock hearing that, and he's not the only one who's shocked from this which made Yuya ask, "So that's why he's taking huge risks?"
Dan looked up as the slime creature, and a minotaur skull having slime fused together in a Fusion Vortex in shock as Declan chanted,
"Arcane swirl that takes in all forms! Engluf the swirl of the eclipse, and be reborn into a new king! Fusion Summon! Come forth, ruler who carries the glory of God! D/D/D Oracle King d'Arc!"
What emerged from the Fusion Vortex was a demonic female like warrior having large bat wings that are red on the inside. She is also wearing white, and gold armor where there are sets of armor plates on her legs with spiky shoulder pads on along with having gold armor on her elbows, and knees with having a white face almost shaping as a mask where he eyes are with dark red eyes along with having short pink hair that has smaller bat wings on her head, and holding a short sword flew behind Declan readying herself.

"Whoa man... I never seen this monster before..." Dan trailed off in shock seeing how easy Declan summoned this monster.
Gong had the same thought calling, "That guy is a Fusion Master!"
"Still he put a points at risk for one monster. Don't you think?" Zuzu pointed out which made Sora agree trailed off, "I got... A bad feeling... I can't put down but I think Dan is in trouble..."
Skip looked over in the data finding Declan's past duels but had never Fusion Summoned, "I can't find anything of Declan using a Fusion Monster. He won a lot of duels without them. Does that mean he might be more stronger then before?" He nervously looked into the field, "This isn't looking good for Dan."
"And now Entities' effect goes off!" Declan called gesturing to his Continuous Spell that glowed. He also glowed explaining, "As I have Fusion Summoned, a D/D this turn, I regain 1000 Life Points." He glowed at this gaining points. (Declan: 5000/Hand: 2) "Finally I place 1 card down, and end my turn."
'Fusion Summoned, gained LP to still have half his LP after taking damage from his Contracts, and still have a card in his hand... He's good.' Was the thought of the young man before him before seeing Declan had placed his hand to adjust his glasses as they give off a little glint of light staring at Dan giving out a confidant smirk much to the irritation of the You Show students.
"Mr. Sunshine there sure is full of himself!" Allie yelled irritated by how calm Declan is.
"He's all lax thinking Dan isn't any of his time!" Frederick yelled in agreement.
"Good point he could be overconfident." Sora agreed drawing their attention before explaining, "Declan thinks he's way more skilled then Dan cause he is risking 3000 points at the start."
"He's right." Zuzu agreed also irritated.
"If there's one thing Gong can't stand it's a overconfident duelist!" Gong yelled. "He deserves to get his deck demolished!"
"Beat him down Dan!"
"Yeah put him in his place!"
"Knock him down! I'm getting the shivers!"
Dan couldn't help but sweat-drop from the encouraging antics he's getting from the kids. "Uh... Alright..."

Dan 1st Turn:
"Okay I draw!" Dan drew before looking over at his hand. He recognizes the cards on them seeing that it's Resonator Call, Power Giant, Clock Resonator, Red Screen, Red Nova, and his drawn card being Cyber Dragon looking over his hand to form a strategy. He soon gets an idea placing Power Invader in his hand before taking Resonator Call saying to Declan, "You use a Spell to add a Monster earlier, Declan! Pretty far, I do the same with this!"
After placing the card in his Duel Disk the card itself appears in front of him showing it's the head of a Resonator while having a yellow tuning fork, a rod that has a green crystal, and some sonic waves on it.

Add 1 "Resonator" monster from your Deck to your hand.
"My Resonator Call, allows me to take Resonator from my Deck, and add that card to my hand." Dan explained his spell's effect as the Deck ejected a card as he shows it to Declan seeing it's Dark Resonator that he's adding.
"Resonator?" Frederick asked confused.
"I never heard of that before." Tate mentioned as they turned to Sora for him to explain which prompt the boy to answer, "Don't look at me, I'm not a dictionary."
In the room Skip muttered seeing Dan's move, "Resonator... Both duelists are using archetypes rare, and unseen." He added to himself nervously, "I hope Dan can handle Declan's new strength."
Dan continued on showing Red Nova discarding it, "Next by sending Red Nova from my hand to the graveyard I can then summon Power Giant!" Placing the card on the Disk it glowed before what materialized on his field was a rock giant that is gray with a blue head, and blue chest with green rocks shaping as diamonds as his shoulders, yellow ones spiking from his knees, a small blue, and pink on his arms, and a gem diamond on his belt, and head that also has the blue diamond shaped rocks.

"Then his level goes down by the level of the monster I discarded." Power Giant glowed as he said this.

"Wow a strong monster!" Allie smiled seeing it's strong but not enough against Declan's Fusion Monster.
Tate then pulled a confused look on the way Dan summoned Power Giant asking, "But why does his monster have that effect to reduce it's level?"
"That answer is my next move. Next I'll summon the monster I added." Dan said with a smile taking Dark Resonator's card placing it down, "The Tuner Monster, Dark Resonator!"
The fiend he added with a head the same as Resonator Call with the same tuning fork, and rod materialized having on a purple cloak with a red like bib on with a gold jetpack on his back.

What Dan just called his monster shocked everyone as the boy wielding the bamboo sword asked shocked, "Did he just say Tuner!?"
"Does that mean..." Zuzu trailed off shocked with a hand covering her mouth knowing what Dan's up to.
Raising his arm up Dan called, "Now I'll give my Level 3 Dark Resonator a Tune-Up with my Level 5 Power Giant!" Dark Resonator used it's tuning fork turning to 3 rings while Power Giant flew into the rings synchronizing with the rings turning into energy that formed into 5 stars.

Everyone watched in shock while Declan himself watched with interest while Dan called what was in his mind from instinct,
"Dragon Born from the Magic of the Archfiend's! Press through, and from your own will defend those you care about! Synchro Summon! Level 8, Red Dragon Archfiend!"
What emerged from it was a dark red dragon raising up roaring twirling around revealing it's form to everyone. The dragon has three horns on each sides of his head, and one on top of his head with red eyes, long demonic like wings that has two spikes on them armor like scales that are red on it's body sharp claws, and talons along with having a mean demeanor flying behind Dan.

"3000 attack points!" Yuya cried surprised at how much attack points Dan's monster has.
'Okay don't know where I got THAT from...' Dan admitted from the chant he just thought of before shrugging deciding to worry later before calling, "And now it's time to battle Declan! Red Dragon Archfiend will swoop in on d'Arc with his Absolute Power Force!"
His dragon roared charging at d'Arc to destroy the monster but Declan isn't going to allow it so easily. "Your dragon has no reign over my king, and this card is proof! I activate the trap, Dark Contract with the Witch!"
The card shows of looks like a ancient society building with a feather that has a contract written on it.

You can send 1 "D/D" or "Dark Contract" card from your hand to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. You can only use this effect of "Dark Contract with the Witch" once per turn. All Fiend-Type monsters you control gain 1000 ATK during your opponent's turn only. "A contract again!?" Gong cried shocked from seeing the trap card.
"Then that means..." Zuzu trailed off in shock.
"...I will once again take damage to the beginning of my next turn. Another 1000 to be exact." Declan started the downside of his trap before adding, "Meanwhile my Oracle King d'Arc will benefit, by gaining 1000 attack points!"

"3800 attack points!?" his opponent cried in shock seeing the Fusion Monster quickly surpassed his dragon. Quickly jumping he grabbed a card he sees on top of one of the buildings checking before calling, "I play the Action Spell, Miracle!"

"Maybe but you haven't seen the full extent of my Contract." Declan discarded a card explaining, "By sending a D/D or Dark Contract from my hand to the graveyard, I get to destroy one of the cards on the field!"
"Wait what!?" Dan asked shocked.
The trap fired a blast striking his dragon was it roared in agony being destroyed while Dan watches in shock grunting while Declan told him, "It was pretty quick thinking... But in the midst of my field right now it's all within my expectations."
Dan looked over to him standing up, "Even if that is true... There's no way I will give up here!" He stared at him, "If you think that destroying my dragon means you won, then your wrong!"
A glint went through Declan's glasses, "Oh?"
"As long as I have Life Points, I'm still in the game! So no matter what you throw, I will always stand back up! So bring it on!"
Declan gave out a faint chuckle, "What admirable courage..."
"This is not even a even match!" Zuzu yelled in fact seeing the four Contracts can severely weaken the moment his turn begins. Seriously why would Declan uses all those Contracts if he's gonna take big damage?
"Yeah his four Contracts will give him 4000 points of damage when his turn comes!" Gong pointed out agreeing with his friend.
Yuya nodded before giving a worried glance seeing Declan's expression, "But... Why doesn't Declan look worried?" They looked to see that Declan indeed doesn't look worried in fact he still looks calm, and confident. Dan is also a bit nervous seeing Declan's still calm, 'Something's wrong... He must have something to already take care of the damage... Might be worse then just having 1000 LP remain.' Taking one of the three cards in his hand he placed it down, "Okay. I place 1 card face-down, and that's that." Left with only Clock Resonator, and Cyber Dragon since he can't use them yet he ended his turn.
"You seem to be a kind-heart fellow Dan. But you should know that in a duel being nice is the quickest way to defeat. With my three contracts you are close to achieve victory though being nice will lead to your downfall."
Dan only grunted hearing that before Yuya pointed out to him, "Just ignore him Dan! With your turn's ending he has to pay all of his contracts which is 4000 points a total!" As he said this the three Continuous Cards appeared on the field ready to inflict their damage to Declan. Dan however doesn't think it'll be that easy but they will see.

"My turn! Draw!" Declan called drawing before the three Contracts glowed as he said, "And as everyone here notes all three of my Contracts deal my 4000 points of damage..." His face grew a smirk, "However such things are only trivial."
d'Arc at that rose her sword as she seems to absorb the energies of the Contracts surprising everyone as Declan smirked, "Oracle King d'Arc's special ability allows me to transverse to payment of my Contracts to something more beneficial..." He adjusted his glasses before revealing to everyone, "Me gaining Life Points instead."
"Say what!?" Dan asked in shock.
"Existential Escalation!"
d'Arc spread her wings raising an arm as it rained light as life down on Declan who glowed. (Declan: 9000/Hand: 1)
"9000 LP..." Dan trailed off stunned at such the amount Declan just gained. If he, and Declan used the way he uses it back at home then Declan would instead have 13000 which would be more awing... He wonders how he can manage against an opponent like Declan.
"So that monster is why he had such high risks!" Zuzu cried in shock from what they saw.
"The more he uses his Contracts the more Life Points he will gain! It completely negates the risks those Contracts will get him!" Yuya said in disbelief with hugely widen eyes, "That isn't fair, Dan's new to dueling like this!"
Despite this Dan however doesn't look concerned, worried, or even scared... If anything else he looks soaked in excitement which Declan noticed, "Hm...?"
Then Dan started to laugh in what sounds like excitement which confused everyone why he's laughing as he grinned, "I'll be honest with ya Declan that combo you planned out there is terrific! I didn't expect you to be taken out that easily, and I was wondering if your Fusion Monster had a reason why you would take those points at risk." This is one thing that makes Dan who he is. Despite being driven to a corner he doesn't cower quite easily in fact he gets fired up at the sight of real powerful opponents he's up against. And right now seeing Declan as quite an opponent like that he wants to give this all he has despite being in a disadvantage.
Hearing that Declan only gave a grin to the young lad in front of him. "You carry Yusho's legacy I see... Based on how you are, you don't let this advantage frighten you, and I applaud for that."
"Huh? You know my dad?" Yuya asked him hearing that.
Before Declan can reply the bamboo sword boy laughed with a arrogant smirk having everyone turn to him while he stares at Yuya, "Know him... Heck! Everyone in this city does! After all your old man is a famous duelist!" That was before he insulted, "Famous for being a complete chicken!"
"BE QUIET!"
The roared coming from Declan at his LID peers made the two males to cringe shaking while the tanned girl muttered 'clowns' under her breath.
Taking a breath to calm himself he apologized to a startled Dan, "Sorry." He turned to Yuya to explain, "I greatly admire your father's exploits. Yusho Sakaki made Action Dueling as popular, and exciting as it was today. He was a true pioneer. I long waited to test myself against his dueling philosophy, and right now I have a chance even if it isn't him." He turned back to Dan saying that before saying, "We must use all our skills from here on out, and won't hold back."
Dan nodded with a grin, "Right. Your giving me all you got, and that's no reason for me to as well."
Declan had to agree to Dan with that logic, "Indeed, but for now let's continue with my turn! And I summon my own Tuner Monster! D/D Nighthowl!"
A darkened fiend rose on up roaring. It has a big jaw shaping as a dog's jaw with small yellow glowing eyes, and large sharp treeth all over it's upper, and lower jaws, and a tongue manifesting.

This fiend has a white face with red eyes glowing with long white flowing hair while wearing blue, and black plated armor with a crest at the chestplate, elbows, and knees that's yellow a ragged, and torn cape, and also has a gem on his forehead.

"This just gotten interesting..." Dan admitted trailing off.
"And speaking of Dark Contracts, I use the effect of my first one, Dark Contract with the Gate!" Declan called as the card shows itself in front of him. As he takes a card from his Deck he explains, "I take a D/D from my Deck, and add that card to my hand." After adding the card he wanted he added, "And now Dan, I had been working on this one, you all are the first people to see it! I banish D/D Swirl Slime to activate it's ability!"
"It had another effect?" Dan asked surprised hearing that.
"By doing this, I can summon a D/D from my hand instantly!"
A bright glow took over the field while they all grunted from the brightness before they see something descending just as Declan declared what it was.
"Go! - D/D/D Divine Zero King Rage!"
The light cleared revealing the appearance of the monster. It is a fiendish humanoid man having in white armor with a helmet that has spikes covering his head with black triangles where the tops are toping on both sides of it's head, a purple plated armor abdomen, green, and white legs shaped as camo, white armguards with blue gloves, and has a long red scarf shaping as Declan's with three metal spikes on both ends.

A amused grin appeared on Declan's face. "Well well. You came in prepared, but alas it won't work! I activate Siegfried's special ability!" Siegfried raise up his sword glowing before he revealed, "During either of our turns, I can negate the effects of a Spell or Trap Card on the field!"
"Huh?"
"And my target is obviously, Red Screen!"
Siegfried shined it's blade on Red Screen making it grey while Dan grunted in shock.

Running to find a card that can help Dan looked around before finding a card jumping up but before he can grab it Siegfried struck him which causes him to cry out landing against the wall of Dreamland's castle where the statue is grunting as he dropped to the floor. (Dan: 0800/Hand: 2)
"Dan!" You Show cried in shock.
Dan slowly starts to stand breathing as Declan walked over seeing him from the long walkway of Dreamland's buildings staring at Dan from the feet away while Dan slowly gets up staring but had a grin before Declan called, "How can you survive this one! d'Arc attack him directly!"
d'Arc charged in against Dan who looked around finding an Action Card quickly taking, and calling, "I activate the Action Spell, Evasion!"

"So how can it deal damage from attacking?" Allie asked confused.
Dan meanwhile was running around to find another Action Card cautious of King Rage before Declan cleared the confusion, "When King Rage battles if your Life Points are 4000 or lower, King Rage's own attack points becomes equal to your Life Points!"
"So that's why!" Dan realized as King Rage glowed.

"Ah crap!" Zuzu cried in shock.
"Dan!" Yuya cry out worried.
'I gotta reach it!' Dan thought running to the Action Card as bes as he could, "Where's a skateboard when you need one!?" He reached grabbing the card calling, "Action Spell, Damage Banish!" The blast hit but the smoked revealed to show he is breathing heavily but fine with the spell shown on some clouds that lightning was blocked.

With that Hot Red Dragon Archfiend charged firing the flamers which engulfed all three of Declan's kings shattered beyond his attack as he watched on as Yuya grinned, "Declan's wide up now!"
Declan however called, "Not bad but not good enough!"
"Huh?"
"Siegfried's ability activates! When destroyed, I regain 1000 Life Points for every Dark Contract on my field!" Siegfried exited the graveyard portal giving energy to Declan who glowed once more. (Declan: 12000/Hand: 0)
"Wowy, zowy!" Allie cried in shock seeing how high Declan's Life Points are now.
"First that Fusion Monster converts effect damage into Life Points for him, and now that Synchro Monster gives him Life Points when destroyed!?" Zuzu asked dumbfounded unable to believe what just happened.
Dan grunted before calling, "Well now your defenseless! Hot Red Dragon Archfiend attack him directly!"
His dragon charged a blast firing it striking Declan who doesn't even look slightly effected brushing off his shoulder. (Declan: 9000/Hand: 0) Dan seeing that grunted placing down a card, "That's all I can do now. I end my turn." Since he can't pay the cost for it anymore Red Screen destroys itself.

He suddenly grunted in pain holding a hand to his chest which purple smoke exited his body. (Declan: 5000/Hand: 1)
That scene was a little disturbing to everyone with Allie shaking a little before Declan looked at the card he drawn before he said to his opponent, "I use Dark Contract with the Gate's effect to add another D/D to my hand!" He added the card before saying, "You were really impressive Dan. But I think these might be the end."
"What do you mean?" Dan asked a bit confused.
"Maybe this will answer. I use Scale 5 D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok, and Scale 1 D/D/D Destiny King Zero Laplace to set the Pendulum Scale!"
What his opponent just declared shocked everyone to the core as Declan activated two monsters in the furthest sides of his Duel Disk triggering a rainbow word, 'PENDULUM' as two fiends rose up.

Widening his eyes Dan watched as Mirror Force shattered, "And now I activate D/D Necro Slime's special ability! This card allows me to Fusion Summon by banishing monsters from my graveyard! I banish Divine Zero King, and Vice Typhon itself!"
The two fiends from the graveyard fused together.
"Arcane swirl that takes in all forms! Engluf the wrathful king, and give rise to a new flaming king! Fusion Summon! Be born level 8! D/D/D Flame High King Genghis!"
What rose was a red fiendish warrior with four arms three carrying sword while one carries a shield having on black, and red armor with one of the swords being a flaming blade.

"That allows me to Overlay both monsters!" Declan called as the two entered a Galactic Portal as they watched in shock.

Shocked they watched as Caesar re-entered the Overlay Network which made them all remember that the first match of the School Duels the purple haired teen did the same thing.

Dan quickly moved taking an Action Card calling, "I activate Invisibility to protect it!"

Dan widen his eyes as the spell was shortened out which his dragon vanished leaving him helpless. Now knowing he's beaten he gave a breath, all in all not a bad way to start his time in his new world. He just wish he didn't lost his first but against a powerhouse like Declan he wouldn't have it another way so he gave a slime to Declan, "It was an honor to duel you Declan."
"I should say the same for you. And don't worry about You Show, we won't press anymore charges, and have our use with Pendulum Summoning now." Declan gave a smile back to him which made Dan nodded with a smile before Declan called, "Now Genghis finish this!"
Genghis charged in slashing down Dan.

At that Dreamland vanished before their eyes reverting the arena back to where it was before as Dan sat down breathing from such a match before he smiled starting laughing from having a great time. A shadow cast over him as he looked seeing it was Declan offering a hand. Dan smiled slowly taking his hand, as Declan helped him up.
"Your one surprising, and one remarkable duelist." Declan praised. "Even with my use of Pendulum you refused to back down.
Dan smiled as he rubbed his head, "Well... I had... a lot of practice..."
Declan nodded before turning seeing the woman calling over while the tanned girl yelled about a 'Professor Marco'. "I have to go. Thanks for the duel. I actually learned a few things. I'll see you around."
With that Declan ran off with his group out of the building the bet now long gone, and You Show may have lost but LID will not take their school. Dan looked at the leaving school what's gonna happen now before he felt exhaustion taking over his mind again. Before he blacked out he heard Yuya's voice calling his name, and heard running to him.
And that's the chapter re-edited. As you can see the results were WAY different to where Declan dominated Dan this time since back then, I think Dan defeating Declan was a bit of a strong start, and perhaps TOO strong so I had Declan use his strongest moves while Dan fights back with his dragons but ultimately it wasn't enough, and next up we have a Fusion Duel with Dan, and Sora, and expect some differences from that as well!
