Chap 1. The engagement
"Princess, Wake up the king wants to see you." Said Jennifer trying to wake up the sleepy princess.
Sakura's P.O.V.
"Tell Touya I'll be there in a few." I said getting out of bed. "Yes mistress."
When Jennifer got out I went to pick an outfit to wear. I was finished in a few. 'I wonder what Touya wants to talk about. Probably the war.' I was wearing a pink dress with cherry blossoms everywhere on the dress. When I got to the throne room, Touya was waiting for me.
"Touya you wanted to speak to me?" I asked him. "Oh. Sakura you're here. Yes sit down." Touya told me. "What is it you want to talk to me about?" "The Li clan's man has agreed to sign a peace contract." "That's great Touya. How did you get them to agree?" "I didn't they suggested to have the card mistress to marry the only heir to their throne." "And what did you say Touya?" "I said I would have to think about it. So what do you think I should do? I don't want to marry him; he's too cold and cares about no one even his wife if he has one." "Touya you know I will agree to it if it stops the war." "Maybe you should think about it Sakura." "No. I agree to it and that final." "Ok. I'll tell the Li clan that you have agreed to be their heir's fiancée."
With that done with I went out to find Tomoyo. First I went to her room she wasn't there. 'Where could she be she's usually here. I know Eriol came over yesterday I bet she's in the garden with my charming half father.'
When I got to the gardens the first thing I saw was Tomoyo and Eriol talking to each other. Tomoyo saw me. "Sakura come over here." Tomoyo said. I walked over to Tomoyo and Eriol. "Hello Eriol. Hello Tomoyo." "What are you doing Sakura?" Eriol asked. (a.n. He cares about Sakura because she is his half daughter and he doesn't want her to get hurt or anything ok.)
Normal P.O.V.
"Tomoyo have you ever heard of the Prince of China?" Sakura asked her. "Yes I've heard of him. What about him?" Tomoyo asked me. "Well I want to know about him." Sakura answered her. "Well he's the prince with no heart. Cares about no one but himself. His father died when he was little." Tomoyo said. "He's my descendant." Eriol said. "Well guess what?" "You have a crush on him." Tomoyo said going starry eyed. "No Tomoyo don't be silly. I've never met him. I'm his fiancée." Sakura said. "You're what?" Tomoyo and Eriol yelled. "I said I'm his fiancée." Sakura replied.
Tomoyo and Eriol couldn't believe it Sakura the cheerful and loving girl was engaged to Syaoran the cold-hearted prince, who doesn't even care about anyone but himself? How could this be possible? "Sakura you've got to be kidding me right." Tomoyo said. "No. I'm not kidding Tomoyo." Sakura said. "Who arranged this?" Eriol said. "Touya and the Li clan elder did but I agreed to it so it would stop the war." Sakura answer.
Li Kingdom at the same time.
Syaoran's P.O.V.
So I'm engaged to the card mistress. Interesting. I'll see if she's worthy of having this name. She might just be a little weakling compare to me. So I get to meet this card mistress tomorrow. Let the games begin. She'll run home like all the other snobby princess. All they care about it money why would she be any different?
I soon went to bed dreaming about an emerald-eyed girl. 'Who is this mysteries girl with emerald eyes?'
Normal P.O.V.
The next day
"Princess get up your going to the Li kingdom today and you can't be late." Jennifer said. "Jennifer I don't want to go." Sakura said. "But you have to. You agreed to the King you'll go today." Jennifer yelled. "Jennifer you could stop that now I'm up. You could tell my brother I'll be down soon."
Sakura got up; she picked the dress that Tomoyo had designed for her last night. She was about to go when a golden thing flew to her face. "Sakura you have to take me with you." The thing said. "Fine Kero. Why do you want to go?" Sakura said. "So I can protect you. After all I'm the guardian beast of the seal." The thing now known as Kero said. Kero flew into a secret pocket Tomoyo made especially for him. You couldn't see the pocket at all. Unless you tried finding it.
Li Kingdom
"Syaoran the princess is nearly here." Yelen the mother of Syaoran said. Just after she said that a carriage came. A girl with dark purple hair and light purple eyes came out. Next was a girl with auburn hair and emerald eyes. Yelen when up to the girl with purple hair. "You must be Sakura?" Both the girls started giggling and the emerald-eyed girl walked up to Yelen. "Your Majesty I am Sakura and this is my cousin/best friend Tomoyo." Sakura said pointing to the girl next to her. "My apology. Sakura this is your fiancé my son Syaoran." She pointed to the boy with brown hair and brown eyes, which was as cold as ice.
Syaoran's P.O.V.
"Hello Syaoran." Sakura said cheerfully. "It's Li to you." He replied coldly. "Why are you so cold?" She asked. "That's none of your business. Leave me alone." I said. "Ok. I will but first you must answer my question." She said.
'Boy this girl is annoying should I tell her? Why should I she might just pity me, I don't need pity. Love is just a weakness, I don't need love. Only weak people need love.'
"Why should I tell you? Go to your mummy little princess." I said. Suddenly a sad look crossed over Sakura's face. 'Um... wonder why she's so sad.' Next thing he knew Sakura ran off, back to the castle.
