Lindsey had managed to get away from Wolfram and Hart for a little bit the afternoon after the "Great memory restoral" episode. Eve was not speaking to him anymore, irratated that he had not been suffering like she had thought and still did not come and see her. Eve was a good girl, sometimes evil, but good at heart. She was an oxymoran in herself.

Angel hadn't been watching him that closely lately. It surprised him, but he assumed it was because Conner had been there. It didn't matter, he wasn't going to run. He wanted to bring down Wolfram and Hart for what they did.

He walked though the dark grassy graveyard. He had gotten directions from a low employee who wasn't adversed to him yet. He walked up to the smooth stone and stoped. He didn't say anything for awhile. The stone was made of a grey marble, obviously the best money could buy. It had simple words on the base, with a angel figure about with arms stretched out. The words were engraved into the base with a picture of her smiling face.

Cordelia Marie Chase
1980-2004
Our angel in Disguise
Forever loved.

He sighed and knelt down before it. So simple, but thier was no way they could put what they all felt for her into words, so it had to be so simple. She deserved so much more though. Despite what Angel thought, he had nothing to do with Cordelia's death. He would never have hurt her, even if that was what it took to get rid of Angel.

He had once loved the seer, even if he didn't make it publically known. Everyone assumed he had loved Darla (lusted, yes, loved, no) and he hadn't done anything to stop those rumors. Lilah hadn't even suspected that Lindsey had a weakness known as Cordy Chase. For that matter, he hadn't really reconised it till the time he left LA.

"Hello Cordy." He stoped. What had he really come to say? That he was sorry that he left, that he was sorry about what she went though? What could he say. The fact that she was dead finalised everything. There were no second chances now.

"Angel is a wreak without you, You know. He even rescued me. Can you believe that." He realised he sounded slightly psychotic and slightly pathetic. He was talking to the grave of a women who hated him to no end yet he couldn't help but fall in love with.

He stayed there for awhile sliently. He could see the dawn arise but he still didn't stand yet. He knew he had to get back before Angel came out with apersonalised death warrent. He just wanted to say goodbye.

After all, Cordelia was the best he ever had.
