The Wedding
Disclaimer: I don't own anything from the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
I feel so nervous. Standing here, waiting to go into the building, is so nerve-racking. I've been waiting for this day for so long, but, now that it's here, I really wish that it was still a couple of days away. A week or even a month would be better.
It's not that I don't want to get married. Quite the opposite, actually. I'm just so... scared, I suppose. Marriage is going to be such a big change.
It was when we were on the Unknown World that Carth and I realised our love for each other. Juhani, Jolee, and I had just fought with Bastila on the roof of the temple, and won, and then we came back to the ship where the rest of the crew were waiting outside. We told them what had happened with Bastila, and I think that they were all pretty shocked. Then Jolee said about the fact that I had resisted the lure of the dark side.
Carth was clearly surprised but pleased by that. He told me that he knew I could do it... And then he said that he loved me, and couldn't wait for this all to be over.
I'd realised that I'd fallen in love with Carth a little while ago, so of course I told him that I loved him too. Then Mission told us to get a room, and we didn't really get to talk after that.
And then, after the Star Forge, Carth asked me to marry him.
I was so surprised. I mean, Carth and I had only just confessed our feelings to each other. But I did say yes. After all, why not? What would be the point in waiting? We both knew how we felt about each other, after all.
Well, it made perfect sense at the time.
I look down at the dress I'm wearing, and heave a sigh. It's a nice enough outfit, I suppose. It's a pale pink dress with long flowing sleeves and a light, thin covering over the top of it. (A/N: Sorry, I'm not really sure how to describe it. I had a top similar to it once). The top is covered with intricate patterns, and the skirt billows out, reaching down to just above my ankles. The neckline is cut into a v-shape, but not enough to really reveal anything.
My shoes are rather stylish, I guess, though they pinch my toes a little. They're sandals the same shade of pink as my dress and strappy with intricate patterns stitched onto the side of them.
My black hair isn't in a ponytail like it usually is. It's been braided, and coiled round the top of my head.
All in all, I think that the whole effect is very feminine, and rather embarrassing.
Mission catches my eye, and smiles encouragingly at me. I guess I kind of look weird going to my wedding with a twi'lek as a bridesmaid and a wookie as a pageboy (A/N: Hehe), but I'd rather have them than anyone else.
Everyne else from the original crew of the Ebon Hawk is already in the building - Juhani, Jolee, Canderous, Bastila, even HK-47 and T3-M4. The droids had been here the whole time, but the other four had only arrived a few days ago.
I think that Bastila and Canderous have reached a sort of understanding. They seem very close to each other now. Makes me glad that I was able to turn Bastila back to the light back on the Star Forge. If you ask me, I think that there's going to be another wedding soon. Heh.
It's time. I straighten my shoulders, and step into the building to make my way to the side of my soon-to-be husband.
Read and review, please!
If enough people want it, I might write more about the relationship between Bastila and Canderous. Grins
