Rainbowkit opened her luminous rainbow eyes. "Good morning, Rainbowkit!" Shinykit said. Her fur was extra shimmery this morning. "Goooooddd mooorrnniiiinnggg!" Rainbowkit exclaimed happily, "Did you sleep well?" "Marvelously so!" Shinykit said. Then their mother, SilveryStar padded into the nursery. "Good morning!" She called, "How are my two beautiful kits?" "We're wonderful mom!" Both kits said together. SilveryStar smiled at them, "Great! Well I have to go do some leader stuff, but then we can hang out, okay?" She turned to leave the nursery. "Okay!" Both kits called.
Later that day, Rainbowkit and Shinykit's mom hadn't come to play with them yet. "What if she has too many leader things to do?!" Cried Shinykit. "Don't worry, Shinykit," Rainbowkit looked her sister in the eyes, "I will go see what our fabulous and TERRIBLY BUSY mother is up to!" "Okay," Shinykit said and blinked her shiny silver eyes. Her shiny golden tail was bushed up. Rainbowkit put her multi-colored tail around her. Then Rainbowkit got up and skipped away to find her mom. (Is it possible for cats to skip?)
Rainbowkit found her mom in her den. "HELLO MOTHER!" Rainbowkit yowled dramatically, shoving the vines away from the entrance of the rock den. SilveryStar jumped. "Oh! Rainbowkit! What's wrong?!" SilveryStar cried. "Nothings wrong," she said then noticed all the leaves and feathers and a half finished piece of prey. "Oh, Mom! What's wrong?" Her Mom sighed an exasperated sigh, "I just have a WHOLE LOT of leadery things to do! How am I supposed to get it all done?!"
Rainbowkit sat down beside her mother, "Mom. You need to take a break!" "I can't," SilveryStar heaved a humongous sigh, "I have so much to do!" Rainbowkit thought some really deep and Genius thoughts. Then she had a BRILLIANT idea! "Mom!" She yowled, jumping to her paws, "I have an AWESOME idea! What if you have someone who helps you do ALL THE WORK!" Her mom wrinkled her brow, "What do you mean?"
"Well," Rainbowkit explained, "If you have a helper, then you can have some free time! The helper can order the patrols, and organize the prey piles so the elders, kits, and Queens all can eat first!" SilveryStar beamed, "What a STUPENDOUS, AMAZING, WONDERFUL, idea!" She exclaimed really loudly. "I will call a Clan meeting!" She rushed out of the den with Rainbowkit floating behind her.
"CATS OF SPARKLECLAN!" SilveryStar called from the emerald tree, (It was really made out of real emeralds). "I call a Clan meeting! My BRILLIANT GENIUS daughter, Rainbowkit, came up with an idea. From now on I shall share my leader duty's with a-a helper? No that doesn't sound right," she muttered the last part mto herself. The some cat called from the clearing, "How about deputy?" "YES!" SilveryStar stomped her paw, "A deputy! ShimmeryWisker! You will be my deputy! And you my daughter!" -here she turned to Rainbowkit- "Are a Hero! From now on you are Rainbowpaw!"
SparkleClan cheered. And this is how the first deputy was appointed.
I told you this would be a disaster.
