Luineraugwen: This is my second attempt at an Astro Boy fic. Hopefully it does as well as 'Too Rebellious to Handle'. R&R. I suggest that you read ThistleMarie's story 'Eternal Bond'. Even though it's not completed, it'll help you grasp some parts of this story. Sorry it's a short chapter but that's all I can do all the moment.

Prologue
"After a series of unfortunate events, the infamous Tarada family has been assassinated by an unknown gang who is believed to come from the heart of China. These people are extremely dangerous and their whereabouts are currently unknown as they move around constantly, eluding authorities. Investigators and detectives have given reports a brief outline of what happened last night. The Tarada family was driving home from their annual skiing trip when the unknown gang began to fire on their car. Specialists say that two types of guns were used. A sniper rifle was used to fire a mirage of bullets into the car's boy while a primitive rocket launcher was used to blow the car up. So far the only bodies recovered were the charred remains of Mr. Tarada, his wife Natasha and twin children, Cameron and Diva. Their adopted daughter Leila hasn't be found and detectives believe that Ms. Tarada is currently on holiday elsewhere and it is unlikely that she was caught in the blast. Detective Tawashi would like to hear from anyone who might have any information about the deaths of Mr. Tarada and his family and he is imploring Ms. Leila Tarada to come forward so he can confirm her safety. A public funeral will be held later on in the week. Stay tuned for further details," a young female reporter said confidently to the camera.
"The Department of Military and the Police are desperately trying to find the criminals who did this. Mr. Tarada and his family were well known and contributed often to the Departments of Military and Science as well as the Police. Without his support, those departments wouldn't be doing the excellent jobs they are doing now. For all the family's hard work, we are trying our best to repay him by capturing their murderers. We would like the help of the civilians as well as the authorities. Anyone with information can come straight to me as soon as possible. We all want to have this menace out of society and behind bars where he can't hurt anyone" Detective Tawashi said into the microphone then walked away, ending the interview.
"Hah, feel free to try to find us you bastards. Try all you want but you'll never find us. Even though we're right under your nose!" a young Asian man said laughing and switching off the television. He a quite a few of his friends had had a blast killing off the Tarada family and the best thing was they were going to get paid for it. They'd come a long way to go this job and now they'd finished it. Except for one thing…Leila.
