"Good afternoon, and welcome to Questor Industries – where technology is the mechanics of life. Once again, we are thrilled to show you all around our facilities today and provide exciting insights into the science and engineering behind our upcoming new discoveries and technologies.

"Well, I hope you enjoyed our video presentation. We will begin the guided tour portion shortly. We will be taking the elevator right outside this auditorium to the second floor where we will start in our exhibit, and then cross the skywalk directly into our main facilities. Just as a friendly reminder, there will be no restrooms available throughout the remainder of our tour, so please use the facilities before we continue. And as a final reminder, cellular phones and other personal electronic equipment are not allowed once we enter the Questor facilities. Any forms of photo, digital, or recording cameras are also not allowed – if you have any of these items in your possession, please deposit with our security staff as you leave the auditorium, and they will be returned to you after the tour.

"Before we go on, are there any questions?"

A solitary, scrawny arm extended out from the small audience that crowded the auditorium.

"Yes, um, Mister Parker, right?"

"Yeah – yes ma'am," replied the owner of the arm, "I was wondering if we are going to check out the Thermo-geometric manufacturing lab today, and if we are going to get a glimpse of the Geo-Thermic crystal as well."

"Excellent question, Mr. Parker," replied the brunette tour guide. "In fact, you may have spoiled the surprise today. To answer your question, depending on time and scheduling availability, yes, we may take a glimpse into our Thermo-Geometrics labs."

A larger, chubbier hand shot out two rows behind Mister Parker.

"Er, um what's a Geo . . . GeoDermic crystal, or whatever?" dumbfoundedly asked the owner of the hand, who was amazingly enough, also able to scratch his bald-shaved head with his other hand.

"The Geo-Thermic Crystal?" the tour guide corrected. "Also a good question. The Geo-Thermic Crystal, or the Plasma-Gem in industry speak, is actually one of Questor's most recent technological advances. If we get to this portion of the tour today one of our engineers will explain in detail, but the Plasma-Gem is essentially a diamond that can actually contain massive amounts of kinetic energy in a tiny, tiny space."

"Der, what?" said the chubby bald teenager.

"Imagine a diamond the size of maybe a dime in diameter, than can carry enough energy to power a car; light up your house for; even provide electricity for your entire neighborhood – all with little or no assistance from current energy sources like fossil fuels. You can even put it in a ring, if you want."

"Whoa! No way!"

"Hopefully, we will be able to include that in our tour this afternoon and answer further questions about the gem then. But in the meantime, are there any other questions before we begin our tour?"

A few moments of nothing passed before the tour guide continued. "If there aren't any other questions, please follow me outside so we can start."
