Helloo, I'm here with a new story. This was the first fanfiction I wrote. I made some edits on it, but I wanted the overall structure to remain the same. I hope you like it too.

The story sets a alternative for after Regina and Leopold's marriage. In this reality Robin is the prince of Sherwood. That's all you need to know. Let's read the rest!
I hope you enjoy!

( I don't own any of the characters in this story. )
( English is not my native language, i try to do my best, forgive me if i make a mistake.)

See the end of the work for more notes.

Her brown eyes were fixed blankly on the ceiling as the beautiful, sad queen of the Enchanted Forest lay on the wide bed illuminated by the first rays of the sun. It was one of those days again. A new day when she questions her life and hates the man snoring next to her who she calls her husband.

After the death of her first and only love, Daniel, at the hands of her mother, Regina was deeply saddened. However, one day, when her mother decided to marry her 16-year-old daughter to 40-year-old King Leopold, the anger that sprouted in the young woman's heart and grew day by day, did not allow any other emotion.

Her heart, burning for revenge, became petrified day by day, and she became a master magician by getting better at the black magic lessons she had taken from the magician Rumpelstiltskin.

She began making plans to make Snow White, her stepdaughter, and King Leopold pay for what they had done that caused her mother to kill her lover. But she didn't succeed as Snow White pressured her father for a sibling.

Her son's love cast a shadow over her hatred for Snow White, King Leopold, and her mother, but she had scars that were impossible to completely eradicate.

She knew that the day would come when she would make them pay the price for ruining her life. When that day came, there should be no possibility of failure, her victory should be absolute.

By then, she had devoted herself entirely to her son and her power, and years had passed. Regina was no longer a child, but a young woman of 28. King Leopold had aged well and had almost given up control of the country to his wife, spending most of his time with his 20-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son.

For years, Regina continued to think about her past as she started each new day. In fact, she hated to remember those days, believing that she would get weaker the more she thought about it, but she didn't. She on the contrary grew stronger, her anger grew. The only thing that illuminated her dark heart was her son; If she could still stay in this palace, if she was such a cruel and also conscientious queen, it was thanks to Henry.

Regina stopped thinking about the twelve whole years in this palace, where she was held captive under the title of queen, when Leopold threw his arm on her. She took her eyes off the ceiling, turned her head to the naked man beside her and looked at him with disgust. It was the day after another terrible night. Sunlight was filtering slowly through the window, erasing the scars of the dreadful night.

It had been an hour since the king had fallen asleep, but Regina hadn't even blinked. Being careful not to wake him, she got out of bed and put on her dressing that gown on the floor.

She stepped out onto the balcony and took a deep breath, the scent of the forest lying in front of her filling her lungs. Maybe a little bit of walking could help her get rid of the heaviness on her.

She took a bath and put on her black tights and vest. She completed her outfit with leather gloves and a cape. Unlike usual, she didn't want to put on heavy make-up today. She needed to be alone to empty her mind, which was filled with the past, and it would be useful to not interact with anyone. Leopold's exaggerated clothing, which was a showpiece, would not have helped much in this situation.

When she was finally ready, she left her room and quietly entered her son's room. She approached the sleeping boy on the bed, brushing back the hair that had fallen on his forehead and giving him a small kiss. The anxiety she felt for her prince, who thought that they would live forever with their happy little family in this dungeon palace, was beyond all her feelings. How she would love to raise her children with love in a small house with Daniel, and for her children to learn about love from their parents' feelings for each other. Instead, Henry thought marriage and family meant sitting at the same table and having dinner together.

Before her son woke up, she raised her hands to leave the room, she disappeared into a purple haze and appeared in the middle of the forest. From that moment on, there was no magic, no royal duties, she would just let the scent of the forest that she loved so much envelop her.

It had been two days since Prince Robin had set foot in a kingdom he had never known, at the request of his father, King Albert. The prince who not knowing why he had come there, what to do, as usual, had only complied with his father's command, and had come to the Enchanted Forest, where his friend Will lived.

He knew that all he had to do was go to the palace the next day and meet with King Leopold. His father had said that the king would give him the necessary explanation. What had Albert sent him after again? What filthy diplomatic business would he handle?

"Good morning." Will said to Robin who was wearing his cloak, lost in thought.

"Good morning mate." Hearing his friend's voice, he decided to take his mind off his father for a while. That man wasn't even going to lead his life here.

"Where to at this hour?"

"Shooting practice. You know, I can't let being my father's servant blunt my other attributes."

"Well, the rich don't wait." He laughed, then his voice took a protective tone. "Don't go too far, Robin, the Enchanted Forest is bigger and more dangerous than you can imagine."

"Don't worry, I won't get lost." He said and left the house but of course he wouldn't listen to his friend. He would pay for it when his whole life changing, he just didn't realize it yet. As he drove deeper into the forest, he thought that he and his mother were wandering through the forest in their kingdom every day, and that Will's worry was unnecessary. What difference could it make here?

No matter how much she walked that day, Regina could not get rid of the feelings that took over her whole body. She didn't know how long she had been walking, but she knew that she was too far from home. She just wanted to get away from the palace until she got rid of this feeling, if she was going to an eternity then so be it.

"You won't let them weaken you." She told herself. She said the phrase she repeated every day, every night. "Everyone will pay for what they did."

She was so angry that she hadn't been able to get out of this trap for years that she increased her walking speed more and more, she felt that her breath was not enough anymore. Daniel... Her father, who was separated from her by her mother... Her youth, her happiness... Everything was taken away from her, her whole life. Her mother and her the happy expression on her wedding day appeared in her mind. And Snow White's hideous joy, King Leopold's eyes full of interest...

She couldn't pay attention to the stone in front of her as her thoughts choked her. "Ah!" Her hand automatically went to her possibly broken wrist as she fell onto the cold floor. As she took action to use her magic, the voice behind from her prevented her to relieve her pain.

"Milady, are you okay?"
