A/N: In response to a guest review:

You didn't misunderstand, both the Dragons can fly, it's just that the Abraxan is a large horse, and can be used as a mount. The only similar pet/friend Harry and Ginny have are the Dragons.

Hedwig is okay. She's having the time of her life off screen. I'll make sure to include her in the future more. I just couldn't figure out what to do with her other than what I have already planned, most of which doesn't come into play till later.

A Song of Lightning and Fire

Arc I: Magic

Part V: The Triwizard Tournament

《••••••••••••••••••••》

It was very early in the morning the next day when Harry and Ginny made their way over to a clearing in the Forbidden Forest. They felt that a clearing was a good area to set up their Enchantments so that they could get the dew soon enough.

The Marauders had done something similar apparently, but James Potter had taken it down after they were done with it for fear of being discovered.

Ginny had found this clearing, and Harry thought it was perfect. It was close to the Tower, it wasn't too large, nor was it too small. It was filled with grass, so that was not a problem, and dew was already present on it when they came there, meaning it wasn't secretly cursed on anything.

"So," Ginny began as she waved her Wand and evaporated the dew. "What do you think?" She asked.

"I think it's perfect," Harry said, looking around.

"So… we can get started?" She asked, looking at him hopefully. Sometimes he thought that she was even more excited for this than he was.

"Definitely," he replied regardless, taking out the red colored Wardstone that they would need for this.

The Wardstone was something Harry had recently discovered while reading. Apparently, you just had to Enchant the Wardstone with whatever Enchantments you needed, and it would apply those Enchantments to anything within its radius of effect.

Hogwarts had been protected by the best Wardstone known to mankind for almost a millennium, and it was the reason Hogwarts was considered the safest place in Magical Britain.

The problem with Wardstones, however, was that they cost a fortune. This one was the smallest possible one he and Ginny had been able to find when they'd snuck off to Ambience Alley (Ginny knew where it was), and it had cost him 79 galleons. Normally, he wouldn't spend that much, but this situation was far from normal. He didn't want either of them to end up being a half-human half-animal mutant after all.

The Wardstone also saved them from casting a whole bunch of other Enchantments that would make a stable boundary for him to cast the Spells into. All of those Enchantments were definitely far beyond their current Skill level.

Right now, all they had to do was Enchant the Wardstone with the Light Absorption Charm, followed by a Barrier Charm. The Light Absorption Charm would absorb the Sunlight, and the Barrier Charm would keep out anything that tried to get inside: Human, or anything else.

"Do you want to do this?" Harry asked.

Ginny nodded. She was better at Charms and they both knew it. "I'll do it," she said, holding her hand out.

He gave her the Wardstone and watched as she closed her eyes in concentration. Shortly after, her Wand tip and the Wardstone started glowing yellow. She was casting The Light Absorption Charm.

She pulled her Wand back a few seconds later, and wiped some sweat off her forehead as the Wardstone turned Red again. She then cast the Barrier Charm on the Wardstone, followed by another Charm that looked like a Confundus Charm.

"I added a Confundus Charm," she confirmed, handing him the stone. "Figured it could go well with the Barrier Charm."

Harry nodded, and walked over to the centre of the clearing. He placed the stone down there and touched his Wand to it. Eu incantationem.

Immediately, a shimmering Golden Bubble spread out from the Wardstone, encompassing a large part of the clearing before it shimmered away from view.

Harry felt the Wards snap into place, and he knew that everything inside the bubble was the area the Wardstone would cover. It was good enough, Harry thought, they wouldn't be short on dew at the very least.

"Seven days," Ginny sighed.

"Seven days," Harry replied with a sigh of his own.

《••••••••••••••••••••》

Harry and Ginny barely made it to their Defence Against the Dark Arts in time. They'd decided to have breakfast in the Kitchens again, but they'd stayed there for a lot longer than he thought they would and… yeah.

"I was beginning to think you weren't coming," Professor Moody commented.

"Took a wrong turn," Harry lied. "Sorry."

Moody nodded. "Sit," he said, and they complied.

Moody limped over to the board and aggressively grabbed a chalk. He wrote the words 'Dark Detectors' on the board and turned to them.

"Dark Detectors," Moody grunted. "Who can tell me what they are?"

Harry and Ginny raised their hands, but Moody ignored them, probably because he'd told them the answer himself.

Just then, Harry heard a whisper and looked behind him. He caught sight of Pansy Parkinson trying to use a slingshot, aiming it at Ginny's back. He discreetly drew his Wand and aimed it at Parkinson.

"Parkinson," Moody growled suddenly, grabbing his attention. "Tell me, what is a Dark Detector?"

"I don't know," she answered, putting her slingshot away in what she no doubt thought was a discreet manner.

"Of course you don't," Moody said. "You're too busy trying to use a slingshot to hit Weasley. And Potter, as hilarious as I would no doubt find it, I cannot let you Curse another student."

"You could look away," Harry found himself saying.

Moody barked a laugh. "Still can't let you do that," he said.

Harry sighed in disappointment. "Alright," he said, putting his Wand in his holster.

"Good lad," Moody said, flicking his Wand and summoning the slingshot towards him. He flicked his Wand again, and the slingshot was promptly incinerated.

"Dark Detectors are objects that detect Dark Magic," Moody explained. "Several of those are all around the room. We've got Secrecy Sensors, a Foe Glass, Probity Probes, Sneakoscopes, Trace Scanners, and my personal favorite: a Darkstaff. I'll be giving you a basic definition for them now, so take your books out and start writing."

Over the course of the next half an hour, Moody made them write generic information about the Detectors. The Secrecy Sensors detected Secrets, and Moody had to turn it off because it kept going off since they were in a School and apparently everyone lied a lot. A Foe Glass, as Moody had told them, showed the faces of your three greatest enemies, and the whites in their eyes glowed if they were close. A Probity Probe was used to find Secrecy Spells, and Concealment Charms. A Trace Scanner could be used to identify traces of Dark Magic, and a Darkstaff was a rare Magical Artefact that would vibrate when anything Dark in nature was nearby, be it a Dark Wizard, a Dark Artefact, or just traces of Dark Magic.

"Now, we still have half an hour left," Moody said. "And I want to test you all."

Everyone's eyes went wide at the prospect, and Moody chuckled. "Not a written test, no," he clarified. "I want to test you lot against the Imperius Curse to build up your Defences."

This wasn't any better! Harry thought incredulously. This was worse! So much worse! How did Dumbledore even agree to this!? Why did Dumbledore agree to this!?

"This is an optional test," Moody said. "You can choose to sit this one out if you want. It won't affect your final grade if you leave or stay. But it will make it a lot harder for anyone to take control of your mind without your knowledge if you take this test."

More than half the class left after that announcement, and it didn't seem like Moody was surprised by this, but Harry did notice Moody looking at everyone who stayed with a look of respect on his face.

"I'm going to ask you to do simple things," Moody said. "Jumping on tables, wailing like a baby, or maybe dancing a ballet. You'll feel a comforting sensation in your head, like all the worries of your life are gone, and from there, you'll hear my voice in your head, telling you to do one of the tasks I mentioned. All you have to do is try your hardest to say 'No'. Is that understood?" He asked, receiving nods from everyone who stayed.

He called students forth one by one, having them do tasks exactly as he described them. Jumping on tables, dancing a ballet, wailing like a baby, and he even made Neville make a rather pitiful imitation of a Lion. Eventually, it was Harry's turn.

He walked forward and looked Moody in the eye. He felt a kind of pressure in his mind before Moody said, "Imperio,"

The pressure on his mind increased a bit, but Harry didn't feel the blissful peace that Moody had promised. Instead, he just heard a faint voice telling him something. Upon closer inspection, he found that the voice was telling him to jump on the desk.

"No," Harry said rather easily. Was this it? The dreaded Imperius Curse? Surely not, right? There was no way Voldemort nearly took down the entire British Wizarding World with this.

Apparently, that wasn't supposed to work that way, judging by the way Moody was staring at him in shock. "Impossible," he muttered to himself, giving his Wand a flick.

A white wisp of smoke released from the tip, forming Runes in the air. Moody studied them briefly before Vanishing them. "The Spell was properly cast," he said. "It seems you've got a resistance to the Curse. Although I have no idea why that might be."

Harry did, but his theory could not be proven unless Ginny had her go at the Curse. As it turned out, she too, could resist the Curse with a non-existent effort, just like him.

"Do you think we can resist the Imperius because we died?" She asked, echoing his suspicions perfectly.

"I do," Harry said, grimacing as she heaved a sigh. "How are you? You know, with the emotions and stuff?" He asked.

"They're… better," she said. "I laugh more, as I'm sure you've noticed."

Harry nodded. He too had observed that change in himself recently. But otherwise… "Other than that…" she trailed off. "Well, I'm not exactly good."

"It's the same with me," Harry told her with a grimace.

"It is getting better, at least," she said, trying to be optimistic.

"True," Harry replied, not being able to find any faults in her reasoning.

"I still can't feel anything else towards anyone except you, though," she said, biting her lip.

Harry wanted to ask what she felt towards him, but he stopped himself. She had a crush on someone else. She was Harry's best friend. That was it. So, he just nodded in response and said that it was the same for him, hoping that he would get over this crush of his.

Having Feelings sucked.

So, why then, did he never want to get over them?

《••••••••••••••••••••》

He and Ginny were headed over to the Owlery a few days later to see if Hedwig was in today, Ginny needed to send a letter, but even despite that, they'd not seen their sort of Familiar for a while now, and Harry was missing her company.

She had grown into a rather good companion for both Harry and Ginny over the years. She somehow knew when either of them weren't having a good day, and she always flew over to them for a few minutes to keep them company.

"Hedwig?" Ginny called, smiling as the owl in question flew down from her usual spot.

"Hey, girl," Harry said, stroking her feathers as she landed on Ginny's arm.

"How are you?" Ginny asked, raising her arm so that Hedwig was on eye level with her.

Hedwig hooted cheerfully and opened her beak, sticking out her head towards Harry, who dutifully fed her an Owl Treat, one of Hedwig's favorite snacks. "Hungry, are we?" Harry teased as she opened her beak again.

Hedwig just hooted twice impatiently and Harry fed her another treat as he and Ginny shared a laugh. "Can you take a letter?" Ginny asked a few minutes later.

Hedwig hooted again and flew over to a railing. She stuck out her leg and Ginny tied her letter. "Thanks!" She called as Hedwig bit her finger gently and flew away.

"... It'll work, mate," they heard Fred's voice. "Don't worry about it. He's not going to scam us and get away with it."

Harry and Ginny shared a glance, and Harry grabbed her hand and led her over to a door. He opened it and they stepped inside, finding the space inside a bit too small for two people. Still, they managed.

He was sure it was an old storage unit, and it smelled rather bad, but then Ginny's flowery scent invaded his nose, and it was as if every one of his senses had been placed on high alert.

He could feel how close she was to him. The voices of Fred and George had long since drifted away in the background, and his mouth felt far too dry for this to be a normal reaction.

He saw her lick her lips and lean towards him ever so slightly…

"But he's famous!" George exclaimed, ruining their moment. Harry had never felt like Hexing someone more than he did now. Did he have to be so loud!?

Harry saw Ginny lean back, biting her lip with a regretful expression on her face, but then she focused on her brothers' words, so Harry decided to do the same.

"He scammed us," Fred repeated. "He's getting served."

Ginny furrowed her brow in confusion and stepped out of the room/shed they were in. "Who scammed you?" Ginny asked.

Fred and George jumped a mile in surprise and Harry suppressed a snort. Really, if he had a camera, he would never have the risk of being pranked by those two.

"Where did you come from!?" Fred cried.

"And why are you in there with her?" George asked Harry.

"Who scammed you?" Ginny repeated with a furrowed brow.

"It's none of your business, Ginny," Fred said, shaking his head as Harry came to stand beside Ginny. "Really, leave it alone."

"I'll tell Mum you broke Muriel's favorite vase," she said with a mischievous smirk.

"You broke it!" George cried, pointing at her.

"True," Ginny admitted. "But who do you think she'll believe?"

Fred and George looked at her open-mouthed and then turned to him. "You sure you don't want to change best friends?" George asked.

He grinned. "Not a chance," he replied.

"Look, it's not like I'm going to tell anyone," Ginny said. "Well, I think I'll tell Harry, but other than that, I think we can help."

Fred and George seemed to have a silent conversation. "Fine," they said. "We'll tell you, but you can't help. We want to do this ourselves."

"Okay," she said, a disappointed tone to her voice that she was able to hide rather well.

"We placed a bet with Ludo Bagman," George began. He then told them that they'd bet all of their savings on Ireland Winning but Bulgaria catching the Snitch. They'd won, but Bagman had given them Leprechaun gold. Leprechaun gold only lasted for so long before it completely vanished. Now, Bagman wouldn't listen to their claims, and said that he had no idea about any bets or gold, and that they should avoid betting while underage.

Needless to say, Ginny was fuming by the end of it.

"We just wanted that money for our joke shop too," Fred told them. "Now, we're threatening to take him to court."

"Do you know a Lawyer?" Harry asked.

"No," George said. "But Bill does. We asked him, and after a bit of a lecture about responsibility, he said he'd help us out a little."

"Of course, he would," Ginny said.

"You know what's weird, though?" Fred asked.

"What?" George replied.

"They didn't show up on the map," Fred said.

"What map?" Ginny asked when neither of them said anything else.

"You have your secrets, this is one of ours," he teased her, causing her to huff.

"Is it the Marauder's Map by any chance?" Harry asked, remembering Sirius boasting about the fact that it was the greatest creation of the Marauders. It showed where everyone in the Castle was at the present time, and Harry had been hoping to find the map ever since he'd heard of the thing.

The Twins went deathly still. "What did you say?" George asked.

"The Marauder's Map," Harry repeated, narrowing his eyes. "You have it."

He wasn't particularly mad about it, he knew that the Marauders had left it in Filch's office for the next batch of troublemakers to find. He did, however, want a glimpse of it, at least.

"How do you even know about that?" Fred asked.

"My Dad was Prongs, Sirius and Remus are Padfoot and Moony," Harry explained offhandedly. "Can I have a look at the map?"

Fred and George were gaping at him like fish in the water, and he decided to give them the time. "Blimey," George said a while later.

"Pretty much sums up my thoughts," Fred said, drawing out an old piece of folded up Parchment from his satchel.

"This, my dear boy is the Marauder's Map," Fred continued, throwing an arm around his shoulders as George and Ginny joined them on the other side, facing away from the Owlery door.

Harry's breath hitched, and he reverently reached out for it. Fred placed it in his hand and Harry drew out his Wand. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good," he recited, drawing an excited look from Ginny, and an impressed one from the twins.

The Map started forming Lines, and Harry could read the words:

Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs,

Purveyors of Aids to Magical Mischief-Makers, are proud to present:

The Marauder's Map.

He opened the Map, only to find that it did exactly what Sirius said it would. He could see Dumbledore pacing in his office, he could see Professor Flitwick walking the border of the Forbidden Forest with Professor Trent, but he could not find his or Ginny's names anywhere on the Map. They weren't in the Owlery next to Fred and George, nor were they anywhere else.

"Why aren't your names here?" George asked. "I thought I might have missed them, but no."

"I think I have an idea," Ginny said. Harry looked over and saw that she was nearly as pale as he no doubt was. This had to be something related to their Deaths, Harry knew.

"Thanks guys," Harry said, holding the Map out for them to take.

"Keep it," they said.

Harry blinked. "Eh? Guys, you found it," he said.

"True," Fred said.

"But we have memorized the whole thing," George continued.

"We don't really need it," Fred added. "But you might, and besides, it's yours by right. We were going to give it to Ginny next year anyway. Merlin, I just hope Sirius and Remus tell us more about their School days."

"That would be a dream come true, wouldn't it?" George asked.

"Are you sure about this?" Harry asked, not believing his ears. "Thanks guys," he said, grinning.

"No problem, old chap," Fred said.

"Although you can repay us by not using it to find Broom Cupboards to snog our sister in," George said, causing Harry and Ginny to blush.

He laughed and checked his watch. "Well, Freddie and I have to go," George said. "We've got Defence, and really, Moody isn't someone I want to get on the bad side of."

"Has he tried the Imperius Curse on you lot, yet?" Harry asked.

"The Imperius Curse?" Fred and George asked in simultaneous expressions of horror. "I thought that was a rumor," George continued.

"No," Harry said as Ginny shook her head. "He gave us a choice, we could stay or go. Neither would affect our grades."

"Huh," Fred said. "We'll keep a lookout mate. Thanks for the warning."

Harry just gave them a two-fingered salute and turned to Ginny, both of them agreeing to go to the Room of Requirement.

《••••••••••••••••••••》

Harry and Ginny walked down the streets of Hogsmeade with their friends this time, but for once, Harry didn't like it, and from the looks on the others' faces, they didn't either.

That was mostly because of Devon's girlfriend, Hayley Brown. Harry knew that Devon had had a crush on the girl for ages, but Harry never thought she'd be such atrocious company.

Neither he nor Ginny commented on it though. As annoying as she was, neither of them wanted to hurt the other girl's feelings. Which was why they just quietly slipped aside into Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop. Sirius had told him that it was one of the best places in the town, despite its reputation for being a spot that couples frequented.

Upon entering, however, he knew he'd been played. It was a cramped, steamy little place where everything seemed to have been decorated with frills or bows. The walls were also covered in pink, as was the ceiling, although in a different shade.

"What may I get for you?" A waitress asked, guiding them over to a table before they could protest.

"Er…" Harry trailed off, sharing a glance with Ginny.

"Tea," Ginny said, coming to their rescue.

"Two of them," Harry added in an effort to help.

"Two cups of tea, it will be ready in a Jiff," the waitress said, running over to the back of the store.

"Well, this is happening, I guess," Harry said.

"Yeah," Ginny replied, grimacing. "I'm sorry, I just reacted."

"It's alright," Harry said, looking away as one of the couples started straight up snogging far too passionately over their table.

"Oh my," Ginny said, following his line of sight.

"Yeah, this is, er…" Harry trailed off.

"Not ideal?" She suggested.

"It's like you read my mind," Harry said, smiling.

"I am rather good at that, aren't I?" She asked, brushing some imaginary lint off her shoulders.

"Don't get too cocky," he said, causing her to raise an eyebrow at him.

They were interrupted when the waitress came back with a tray containing two cups of tea. "Have a good time," she said before she left.

The Tea was actually pretty good, even better than the ones he'd tasted before at least. "Speaking of reading minds," Ginny said in a whisper. "I want to learn Legilimency."

Harry blinked. "I'm sorry, you want to learn what?" He asked.

"Legilimency," she repeated, making a face. "Not to invade people's minds or anything, but you do need to learn Legilimency before you learn Occlumency."

"You do?" He asked. He hadn't really been interested in the mind arts beyond some vague promise to himself to learn Occlumency in the future.

"Unfortunately, yes," Ginny replied. "What about you? Do you want to try it out?"

"I mean, we'll need someone else to be our test subject," Harry said, furrowing his brow. "I'm not exactly comfortable with anyone poking around in my mind."

Ginny nodded, as though expecting nothing else. "I know," she said. "That's why I wanted to ask Sirius about it. Thought I should tell you if you were interested."

"Sure," Harry said. He wasn't exactly keen on the idea of Legilimency, but he suspected Ginny wasn't either. Occlumency, on the other hand, could be quite useful…

That was the last time he and Ginny talked about the Mind Arts that day, though. They were quickly able to finish their Tea, so they paid their bill and left the shop, content to just roam around Hogsmeade for a few hours.

Noon was approaching, though, and they had decided to meet up with their friends in The Three Broomsticks, so they entered the pub and chose an out of the way seat to wait for them to arrive.

The door to the pub opened and Hagrid came in, wearing a thick, brown woollen coat. "Hello," he greeted them once they saw him.

"Hey, Hagrid," they said as he came closer and sat down in an empty chair across from them.

"Listen," he whispered, looking around to check if anyone was listening to them. "Meet me at my Hut at 11:30 tonight, bring your Cloak" he continued.

"Why?" Harry asked, sharing a confused glance with Ginny.

"I have something interesting to show you," he whispered, standing up as Devon, Hayley, and Jessica entered the pub. "It was good to see you as always," Hagrid continued in his normal voice.

He quickly bid them a goodbye, and went over to the bar, leaving Harry and Ginny in utter confusion, and quite a bit of worry.

《••••••••••••••••••••》

As per Hagrid's request, Harry and Ginny reached his Hut exactly at 11:30. Both of them were still worried about the Man, but they'd been able to get through their day without arousing any suspicions.

Ginny knocked on the door and it opened not a moment later. Hagrid stood in the doorway, looking nervous about something. "Alright," he said. "Have you brought your Cloak like I asked you?"

Harry nodded and pulled out part of it, just enough to show it to Hagrid, who nodded hastily. "Put it on, and follow me," he said, setting off on a walk towards the Forbidden Forest.

Harry quickly pulled it out fully and put it over him and Ginny as they quickly followed Hagrid in. "Where are we going?" Ginny asked.

"It's a surprise," Hagrid said in response.

Ginny furrowed her brow but Harry saw her nod anyway. Silently, they followed Hagrid as he led them deeper and deeper into the Forest. It was then that Harry noticed something different about his friend. "Hagrid, have you combed your hair?" Harry asked incredulously.

Hagrid spluttered for a moment as Ginny gasped. "Hagrid, do you have a date?" She asked with a squeal.

"Wait, then why are we here?" Harry asked, indicating him and Ginny before he remembered that Hagrid couldn't see them.

"Alright, quiet down, you two," Hagrid said, shaking his head. "Yes, I've combed my hair. Yes, I have a date. Kind of. You're here because I thought you might've liked to see what I've got here."

"And what is this surprise?" Harry asked.

"It's called a surprise for a reason, Harry," Hagrid explained quietly.

Suddenly, a loud roar echoed throughout the Forest and Harry and Ginny tensed. They knew that roar. Or at least they knew what creature made that sound, it was rather easy to identify, they had helped raise two of them, after all.

Another roar confirmed their suspicions. There were Dragons here. Not Siberian Shadows, and certainly not Aries and Artemis, but there were Dragons.

"Why are there Dragons here?" Harry hissed.

"Because they're the First Task," Hagrid explained. "The champion has to get past the Dragons and steal a Golden Egg. These are all mother Dragons too," Harry thought that he might get in trouble for telling them that, but Hagrid's next words eased that worry.

"I can tell you because neither of you two are the Hogwarts Champion, thank Merlin," Hagrid said. They stopped a while later when they were in the largest clearing Harry had ever seen.

There were three large cages, each of them about three times the size of Number Four Privet Drive, all of them had a Dragon inside of them. There were people outside the cages trying to calm the Dragons down, but to no avail.

The Dragons were thrashing around wildly, trying to be free of the chains, and Harry's heart went out to them, but just as the thought passed through his head, one of the Dragons roared and let out a Fireball at the Handlers.

About seven of the Handlers had to jump to the side to avoid the Fireball, while the rest cried, "Stupefy!"

A little over a dozen Stunning Spells hit the Dragon, who simply roared louder. The Handlers cast another volley of Stunning Spells, and then another, and then another. The Dragon finally went down at the third volley. Taking about 60 Stunners before it was defeated.

"Aren't they beautiful?" Hagrid asked, indicating the Dragons in the cages. "Aries and Artemis will be even stronger in a few years. It takes hundreds of Stunners to put down an adult Siberian Shadow."

Harry found these Dragons terrifying actually. And it was jarring to think that Aries and Artemis, sweet Aries and Artemis, their babies, could be as strong and ferocious as the Dragons in the cages.

"What breed is that one?" Ginny whispered, pointing at the fallen Dragon.

"Hungarian Horntail," Hagrid answered.

The Horntail was a very appropriate name for the creature, Harry thought. It had Dark Green Scales all over its body, and it had horns on its head, its spine, and its tail. Harry remembered reading that it was the most Dangerous breed of Dragons because it was the most aggressive of them.

"This one's acting a bit weird, though," Hagrid said. "Horntails generally aren't this aggressive."

"Hagrid," they heard Madame Maxime exclaim from behind them. Harry was glad that he and Ginny were wearing the Cloak right now.

"Olympe!" Hagrid greeted her with a kiss on her cheek. "So good to see you. I'm glad you made it."

"As am I," she said, holding his hands. "I couldn't help myself, you sounded so… passionate."

Harry couldn't help but think that he really wasn't supposed to be here, but thankfully, Maxime wanted to see more of the Dragons now, so she went towards the cages.

"You can stay if you want," Hagrid said to them. "There's no pressure. Just keep the Cloak on if you do. And visit me tomorrow regardless so I know you're okay."

"Alright, Hagrid," Harry said.

He and Ginny decided to leave though. Watching two people on a date would be far too awkward for both of them. On their way back, however, Harry saw Igor Karkaroff running towards the clearing.

"Harry," Ginny tugged on his sleeve, probably having seen the same thing.

"I saw," he responded.

"Well, good," she said, nodding. "But… I was thinking… Karkaroff will tell Krum, and Maxime will tell Delacour…"

Harry's eyes went wide. "Who'll tell Cedric?" He asked.

"Exactly," Ginny replied, biting her lip. "I doubt Hagrid can tell the Champion himself."

"So… what are you saying?" He asked. "We tell Cedric ourselves?"

"Yeah," Ginny said.

Harry nodded slowly as he considered it. Really, he did want Hogwarts to win, and while Cedric didn't seem like the kind of guy that would appreciate cheating, Harry did think he should have an advantage up his sleeve since everyone else wouldn't be expecting him to know anything.

"Alright," he said. "We'll find him tomorrow."
