Title: Willow Tree
Disclaimer: don't own the characters. You all know that.
I stand beneath you and I shake
The leaves are too heavy for me to see;
The branches fall in front of my eyes
All I see is your shadow
And it looms in front of me
Like a storm in the distance;
I can see you look at me
As I try to hide myself;
You know that when I was young
This was where I stood;
I can't help but wonder why:
Why you want me to be perfect?
Father, can't you see I'm trying?
But as I try, I grow weak;
I can only hurt so much before I break
Before I break like the branches of this old tree
The willow tree that dies because of disease;
And yet, you call out to me,
"Come home, Dragon – you will always return home";
Where is home, Father?
Isn't it here as well?
