Paring: Jaheira X Main-Character
On the Moonlit Hill
The wind in his hair, the fresh grass under his feet as he dashed across the wide hill. His steps were long, high and fast, they dragged him over this moonlit field, as if they wanted him to run up to the stars.
Faster!
His legs stretched out, his lungs nearly burst under the pressure of the cold air within them. His eyes closed as his mind chanted
Faster!
A loud roar escaped his lungs, and flew up in the air. The power of his dash grew, he hardly touched the ground.
Jump!
He was high in the air, flying, escaping the earth's gravitation, escaping all of his problems, only the moon witnessed his flight.
Splash!
As he dived into the cold stream, he felt his body convulse; the icy water robbed his breath, and for a few seconds, the perpetuum mobile in his chest, his heart, stopped its life bringing rhythm. And then...bump, bump, bump... He stumbled out of the stream, his body weak, but his mind sharp and agile. He collapsed in the grass, his gaze wandered over the countless light points in the sky, the stars. His heart beat constantly, his mind free of all troubles.
Splash!
He sat bolt upright. He was not alone....slowly he rose and crept soundlessly into the bushes near the stream. Now he felt how chilly the night was, for he was only wearing trousers of linen. As the water stirred, he saw her, beautiful, airy and so out of reach.
Jaheira!
This word, this name, it contained all his love and yet all his pain. Jaheira, I live every day for you, knowing that every beat of my heart has no other purpose but to love you. As she slowly ascended the waves, he crept away silently, his gaze fixed on her, his mind so full of love and unspoken words. As he made sure that she arrived at their camp save, he climbed up a nearby rock and stared at the campfire which slowly burned down.
As long as it is possible for me, I will watch over you! As long as you need me, I will be there for you! And as long as you want me, I will love you!
