First Spider-Man 2 Poem (about Peter Parker's greatest secret, his dual identity as Spider-Man)

Colors of the Ocean

those eyes behold the colors of the ocean
mirroring great depth and mystery
dark canyons of the sea floor below hide
secrets
many sailors have tried to reach those
fathoms
diving but to only find it hopeless
like a fruitless hunt for buried treasure
with every attempt made towards the darkness
below
must the ocean's current shift it away
further into the aybss to remain invisible
amongst the florishing plants of the sea
not to allow even a sparkle of hope
to shine through to the surface
the creatures that swim about this ocean
must be on their guard and protect this
treasure
way too many souls have prying eyes
greedy hands digging their claws into the
fragile soil
ripping, nipping at the shield surrounding
the unknown
desperately, brudily reaching for what is
more
seeking the other side to this ocean's kind
nature
for they know all too well that something
lurks there
just waiting to be discovered and excavated
brought up to the surface and placed in a
glass case
something precious to display to the world
parade it around like their pride and joy
on a high as if someone discovered the lost
city
of atlantis off the shores of greece
the sea will be broken by dispare from this
loss
if it were possible to get past the great
barriers
when a sun rises in alarm in the gentle blue
skies above
a sign of great warning for the ocean to
shift its current
move away from land and broad shores
away from thrill seekers lingering there
for someone who has eyes like the ocean
must be careful of whom he allows into his
inner circle
to rest near his shores and gaze into his
depths
or at least catch a glimpse of what he
offers
and allows to float up to the surface
a mask, a shield to his other side
to his darkest depths of unknown
forever a great world of mystery
being a wandering ocean is never easy
