Sabishi na Ai ( Solitary Love)

Ru: /Love... is there such a thing? Words are mere sounds, why speak them? Love is just a word... why love?/

Lately, He was in a state of confusion. Rukawa seldom read books, he only read them for his lessons at school. But yesterday, he passed by the library to sleep in peace. He was about to get some rest when a book caught his eye. It was entitled "Solitary Love". He didn't know why but he felt a certain urge to read it. He first made sure that no one was there because of there was, it would start another commotion which meant a life long loss of peace.

He got the book and quickly kept it inside his pocket. As he walked home, he saw a trash bin and took the book out of his pocket.

Ru: /this is ridiculous, Why the heck am I reading this book anyway?! im not that desperate for love... or am i?/

Just as he was about to throw the book into the trash can, he once again put the book inside his pocket.

When he finally arrived in his apartment, he quickly went upstairs and closed the door. He lay on his bed and stared at the ceiling. He felt his pocket and got the book out.

He lifted the book up and stared at it.

Ru: here goes...

He opened the book and browsed through it. It was full of poems about love, pain, and isolation. It had it's own world.

Ru: just like me...

He saw one poem that had caught his eye, he read it with fondness... one he has never done before.

I was lost in the dark,

weighted down on the ground.

I searched for

the light,

But there was nothing,

only the frustration.

Then I saw you,

you shined.

Everything was

bright.

I took your

outstretched

hand.

You lifted me

to the

light.

He read it again, then again and again. It somehow made him feel better, clear of all obsurities. It felt good because he fantasized, but it wasn't real. He threw the book carelessly into the corner. He sat upright and put his hands above is eyes and pressed it.

Ru: What is happening to me?! I... I can't believe I'm reading this crap and actually liking it... or maybe i just need someone, but I don't... I have something. A book... just a book. If only... If only...

He picked up the book on one side of the room and faced the mirror.

Ru: If only I had someone... I'm alone, my solitary love...

TBC!

Like it? I hope you did! Next Chapter please...
