The group was surprised, they had hear of NERV, but they never imagined that they would actually enter a NERV facility. The group looked In amazement as the car they were in was lowered into the base. Afterwards they all stepped out.

Ryo: is this actually a NERV facility?

Misato: Well, NERV's main headquarters to be exact.

Kensuke: REALLY?! THIS THE MOST EXCITING THING I HAVE EVER BEEN THROUGH!!

Misato: Really? Just hold on. Come with me everyone.

The small group walked around a bit, looking at aw as they saw all of the amazing things at NERV, they reached a room where they found something they never expected. It was large, much larger than other humanoid machines like the jet alone series or the gryphons, it was in a ginormous transparent cylinder, showing off a great amount of its body, it was shaped like a man, with two plyons on its shoulders, it had some slabs of metal on it, namely on the arms and knees, the giant thing was mostly submerged in a color that a mix between blood red and orange. The only part of it that wasn't submerged was it's head, witch was somewhat ceratopsian, with a horn in the center of its head, the giant was mostly purple with green stripes and accents.

Shinji: Wha- What is this?

Misato: The reason you kids were called here.

A woman with short blonde hair dressed in a lab coat walked up to them, along with a girl, young man with long hair with a another young man with glasses

Ritsuko: greetings, I'm Ritsuko Akagi. I'm the one responsible for development of what you are seeing now, this is Maya Ibuki, Shigeru Aoba, and Makoto Hyuga

Maya: It's an honor to meet you!

Aoba: greetings.

Hyuga: It's a pleasure to work with you!

Ritsuko: Anyway, you youngsters have been chosen to pilot the eva units.

Shinji: Eva units? Is what giant machine thing...?

Ryo: We were chosen to pilot one of these things?

Kensuke: There's nothing in this manual that mentions this...

????: You won't find it in the manual.

The group turned around to and found someone up in the upper decks.

Shinji: Dad?

Gendo: It's been awhile hasn't it?

Asuka: Mr Ikari!?! What are you doing here?!

Ryo: What's going on here!? Why were we called here?

Gendo: I am the commander of NERV., this is Evangelion unit 1, we need you to pilot it Shinji. And we need your friends to pilot the other units. We need You to fight the angels.

Shinji: What? Angels? Are those the creatures from earlier?

Gendo: Yes. Those were the Sachiel and Raziel.

Toji: This is far out...

Kensuke: How can we help? Is shinji going out there alone?

Gendo: unfortunately, yes. Our units aren't ready for combat, some of our units have been stolen and the ones we have aren't ready for combat save for unit 1, we have another unit and pilot, but the unit is damaged, and the pilot is injured. So it's up to you, Shinji.

Shinji: Really..?

Gendo: Yes. Those two angels are getting closer as we speak.

There really wasn't much time to prepare Shinji fallowing battle, they got him entered the entry plug, and loaded up unit 1 on the launchpad.

Shinji: So... how does this thing work?

Misato: Notice those clips we put on your hair? They should allow to to synchronize with the Eva and allow it to move. Got it?

Shinji: Right...

Ryo: Can Shinji really do this?

Toji: I don't know...

Maya: hey, try to have some faith in him!

Misato: Alright, Eva unit 1 launch!
