Grissom lay in bed, watching the sleeping form beside him. It was amazing how much his life had changed since that day at the airport.

He would never forget the look on her face when she had turned around and saw him standing there with a rose. Nor their first kiss in that same terminal.

Now he lay beside her wondering how she was able to move him the way she did. How was it that she had become part of him down to his very soul?

He got out of bed and she moved. Opening her eyes, she looked up at him.

"Good morning." She smiled.

He smiled back noticing the way that the morning sun was shining across her face.

-She looks like a god- he thought –delicate, beautiful- He wanted to be with her forever. He wanted to love her the way that she loved him, with utter and complete trust. Grissom didn't know what she saw in him but he didn't really care as long as he was holding her.

Sara walked across the room and kissed him gently. It wasn't much, just enough to steal his breath and leave him wanting more.

"Oh no you don't," he warned, "Last time you did this we were late for work."

"Catherine won't mind if we're a little late. Come back to bed. " She touched his face, running her hand through his beard.

Grissom felt himself melt at her soft words and caresses. She knew just how to break through his walls and get to his heart.

Grissom pushed her away, "We don't have time today." He said flatly, leaving no room for argument.

-I'm still the supervisor- he thought –how does it look if I come I late because I let Sara talk me into coming back to bed-

Stopping he realized that that was the same reasoning that had stopped him from being with her in the first place. He'd had to be strong to keep himself from walking up and kissing her. But looking back at Sara now, he didn't want to be that strong if it meant not being with her.

He walked back to her and kissed her hard, knocking both of them back onto the bed. They pulled out of the kiss to catch their breath. Grissom held Sara tightly, he could feel her heart beating against his chest. He kissed her lightly on the neck. –This is where I belong. Next to Sara being loved by her-

He spoke softly into her ear, saying words he should have said long ago, "Sara, will you marry me?"

Sara waited before answering, "Yes."
