Hey this is Pickle Juice! I've been good friends with Linda Joy Singleton since third grade. That's how long I've been in her Book Attic Reading Club, except now we meet at her house. If you look at the dedication in the fifth book, The Killer, you'll see it's dedicated to our club! If you look at the names you'll see the name Brittany two rows down, that's me! Linda wanted to go on and make the Regeneration series ten books, but her editor told her no. Now I'm here to do what she couldn't.

Regeneration Fun Fact: The series was originally going to be called Sci- Clone, but was changed shortly after the first book was written.

Regeneration Fun Fact: Regeneration was going to be made into a pilot tv series, but it didn't and Dark Angel took it's place.

Regeneration Fun Fact: Linda HATES the model for Chase! She begged them to change the model, but they never would. She wanted him to be buff and cute. Like a surfer or skater. Instead of wimpy and ugly.

Regeneration Fun Fact: The Varina character is based on Linda's high school self. She gave her auburn curly hair because that's the type she's always wanted. She dyes her hair red and gets perms to this day.

Fears and The Phone Call

Allison twirled her waist length blond hair. She usually wasn't nervous talking to boys at all. Just look at Eric! He was one of her closest friends and HE was a boy.

As if on cue, Eric entered the kitchen. He took a quick look at the phone in Allison's hand, and at the forlorn look on her face and immediately knew what was wrong. "Trying to call Jett, huh?" he asked tilting his head slightly giving her the "you can't hide what you are feeling from me" look. Sometimes being such good friends has its downfalls. Allison swore that Eric could read her mind at times.

"Yeah," she sighed, rubbing her forehead. She turned to look at him. "I'm not afraid of anything! So why am I so scared of calling him?"

He gave her a little smile. "Yeah, you don't need to tell me how fearless you are Al. You're the one that ran around a photo shoot, even after death threats."

Allison rolled her eyes. "I'm wondering, was that courage or stupidity?"

Eric shrugged and looked away. "Fact is, nothing stops you, no matter how dangerous it is. I wouldn't say it was stupidity, but rather stubbornness."

She gave a short laugh and looked down again at the phone. "If nothing stops me, then what's stopping me now? I haven't seen him in such a long time. What if he..."

Eric cut her off with a wave of his hand. "There you go again. "what if this?" "what if that". Just do it. I know you can. He gave her a quick hug and ran up the steps to his room, stopping at the top of the stairs to give her the thumbs up.
