She said good-bye, her face so pale, we will meet again;

I looked at her with her eyes filled of sorrow yet happiness still lingered;

I held her close as she lifted the dagger which struck her body only moments ago;

She drew the knife and made a painful slice on my cheek to remember;

How my love has gone and withered with the snow on that cold December...
