Kagome looked into the clear blue sky, lost in thought.
It was a day before the final battle with Naraku. She was worried. Not too much about the battle itself, but the aftermath.
When they finally have the complete jewel, would she give it to Inuyasha, or protected it as Kikyou did?
If she did chose to give it to Inuyasha, what would he chose? She was worried that he would choose the one thing that would destroy them all.
And what would she choose. Where would she go when all is said and done? Would she stay here with Inuyasha, or go back to her own time to her family, now that her task was completed?
She walked into the forest and saw the Goshinboku tree. It brought back memories of when she first saw the boy with the fluffy ears sleeping on the tree, bound by the arrow and supported by the vines. It was here that all Kagome's adventures began. And eventually, where it will end.
She had fallen in love with Inuyasha. She accepted him as he was and loved him. She had also fallen in love with the feudal era, and part of her wanted to stay and help those in need.
But she also wanted to go home. After all, she was born into that time and belonged there. She had her family and friends, and a future ahead of her. She also had a lot of schoolwork to catch up on.
She loved Inuyasha, but she also loved her family.
Which way do I go, and will I make the right choice?
