(Hi, this is the third chapter I've written today, I'm on a roll. Bare with me for this chapter, I don't know whether to do it movie based or film based so it will probably turn out to be a mix of both of them with some random stuff that I myself threw in, ok. )

We crossed under the golden trees, silent in awe at the beauty of them. In the film they really aren't that silver or gold but when your there you can really notice it. Basically you just have to take all the places in the film then, if they are scarier imaging them ten times scarier and if they are pretty imagine them ten times prettier. Except for Rivendell, the Rivendell in the film is incredibly similar to how it actually looks like.

So once we were over the borders, and Boromir and Gimli had finished complaining that it was an evil place, we started the journey to Caras Galadhon, we had only been travelling for about half an hour when we heard what seemed to be someone singing.

"Yay!" I cried "Nimrodel. Legolas can you sing us the song of the Nimrodel, pwease" I did my puppy dog look, the one that serves to freak most people out, looking rather worried Legolas started singing.

An elven maid there was of old

A shining star by day

Her mantle white was hemmed with gold

Her shoes of silver grey

After the first verse Elanor and I joined in.

A star was bound upon her brow

A light was in her hair

As sun upon the golden bough

In Lorien the fair

Her hair was long, her limbs were white

And fair she was and free

And in the wind she went as light

As leaf in linden-tree

(A/N ok I know this off by heart but I can't be bothered to write it all down, if you want to read it all read the books. Elanor: 'Tis a beautiful poem, befitting of the stream.)

Finally the song came to an end, faltering Legolas said:

"I cannot sing any more, that is but a part, for I have forgotten much. It is long and sad, for it tells how sorrow came upon Lothlorien, when the dwarves awakened evil in the mountain."

Legolas and Gimli then proceeded to have another argument, this time about whose fault it was that the evil in the mountain occurred, meanwhile the fellowship phased out. We were becoming good at ignoring the pair's petty squabbles, and we all got up and continued our journey.

Finally Aragorn put a stop to the argument and we carried on in silence, apart from Gimli's muttering about how he had the eyes of a hawk and the ears of fox, so he would not be ensnared by the witch, he then proceeded to almost walk into a large pointy arrow.

"Oh, yeah Gimli. You're so cunning that you managed to walk into the arrow before you saw it, are we talking blind and death foxes here?"

Ignoring Gimli's glare I then turned to Legolas who was greeting the head elf, and telling him who we all were.

"There are thirteen of us, myself, four hobbits, two men, one of whom, Aragorn, is an elf friend of the folk of Westernesse and there are also five women travelling with us."

"It is strange times indeed if you are travelling with women, and these are only children from the looks of them, but that is only twelve. I see the thirteenth is a dwarf. That is not well for we have not had dealings with the Dwarves since the Dark Days."

After a slight argument, in which the elves ignored the fact that Gimli was there, they finally agreed that Gimli could go with them if he was blindfolded, and we would have to be as well. Well Elanor, Diddins, Elin and I just shrugged and agreed, Elin Elanor and I knew how protective the elves were of their borders and Diane just didn't really mind being blindfolded.

(Elanor: But it doesn't mean I was particularly pleased. Gods know, I hate being blindfolded, or having my hands tied.)

Lauren and Gimli however made a huge fuss, Lauren went on about how she didn't even want to be here, wherever here was, so she shouldn't be blindfolded and Gimli was just being generally stubborn. Finally I stopped Lauren's protestations by threatening to knock her out if she didn't stop and Diddins told Gimli that she would do the same to him and then steal his axe.

So after about twenty minutes of arguing, the five of us and Gimli were swiftly blindfolded, and the next stage of our journey began. It was strange, being blindfolded meant that I could here things a lot clearer; I even managed to hear the soft footsteps of the elves walking on either side of me. Soon I heard the rushing of water, and reaching up I took my blindfold off.

"Why did you take your blindfold off?" asked Haldir, "I thought you agreed to wear it."

"I did, but, I know your about to tell me that the Lady Galadriel has said that we may all walk free, even Gimli the dwarf, so there is really no point whatsoever in leaving it on."

"How do you know this?" asked the elf curiously

"Well, I don't think either Legolas or Aragorn told you this, but I and my four friends all come from another world where we know everything that's going to happen, so you see I know exactly what the message was. I also know that we are know in Cerin Amroth"

Haldir looked incredibly disbelieving at this, but a hurried conversation with Legolas seemed to confirm it and he said no more on the matter.

Soon we reached the city itself and Haldir lead us over to the huge Mallorn tree in its centre.

"Here dwell Celeborn and Galadriel," said Haldir. "It is their wish that you should ascend and talk to them"

The climb took ages, it went up and up and up, the only good thing about it was that I was climbing in front of Gimli, and it was fun 'accidentally' kicking him in the face lots.

(Elanor: Poor Gimli!)

Finally we reached the haled platform on which sat the lord and lady of the wood, I won't bother describing them, as they both looked the same as they did in the film. Walking towards us they greeted first the ordinary fellowship, then Galadriel turned to us.

"Greetings, other worlders. Your coming to us is strange indeed, but I deem that you will have some part to play, small though it may be."

Next Celeborn spoke.

"Fourteen there were that set out from Rivendell, yet only thirteen are here, tell me, where is Gandalf, for I much desire to speak with him"

"Alas!" cried, Aragorn and myself, in chorus "Gandalf the Grey fell into shadow. He remained in Moria and did not escape." Elanor hit me hard, and whispered as quietly as she could:

"Do not copy the words of the fellowship here. I, for one, do not feel like pissing of the elves. Anyway, we've proven we know the script."

At our words, the other elves in the hall gasped, Celeborn looked surprised and slightly annoyed at me for speaking at the same time as his future grandson in law, but Galadriel just smiled at me, and I realised that she knew what I was thinking, and that I wanted to annoy the fellowship. Damn, I thought suddenly, if she knew what I was thinking, then I better try not to think about anything that could give away the outcome. Think Legolas, I thought, and proceeded to think his name over and over again. It was then that I heard her voice in my head.

"Do not worry Megan; I do not seek to know the result to the quest, though I am sorely tempted by knowing the answer"

Smiling, she turned to the rest of us and after gazing searchingly at us in turn she said,

"Do not let your hearts be troubled, you are weary with sorrow and much toil, tonight you shall rest in peace."

Bowing we followed an elf back down the tree and to a pavilion that had been spread on the ground for us near the fountain. Sadly when climbing down again Gimli was above me, and to get his own back he took to treading on my hair every chance he got, I think he regretted it though when I reached the ground, grabbed his ankle and yanked him of the ladder, served him right, stupid giblet.

Seating ourselves a little way away from the original fellowship my friends, my sister and the Thaurer (abominable one) started discussing what each of us had seen or been offered when looked at by the lady.

"Well. . ." Elanor said "I don't really want to talk about mine. Sorry, it's a bit. . . personal."

"I understand Elanor and knowing you I can imagine that it would be something. . . lets say interesting" I replied smiling

"Interesting is good." she said, returning my smile "What about you Diddins, what did you see?" she said turning to Diane

"It was really cool, she was offering me the chance to get a huge pet butterfly, or to stay in the quest, I was really tempted but then I decided to stay with you guys in the quest, I didn't want to abandon you yet, without me the butterflies might attack you."

"What about you Elin, what did you see, what was she offering you?"

"She was offering me the chance to have a horse of my very own, or go with the quest, I was about to except the horsy offer when I remembered that there are lots of horses in Rohan, and I could probably steal one from there. What where you offered Lauren, what was your choice?"

"She asked me if, given the choice I would prefer to stay with the fellowship or go back home"

"Oh" I said, interestedly "And what did you choose?"

"What do you think I chose? I hate it here, I practically begged her to take me home, sadly she said she had not the power, and she seems to think we have some part yet to play."

"Trust you to want to abandon us, even your friend." I said, "With me she was offering me the choice of. . . never mind, I'm sure you all have some idea of what my offered desire was." they all grinned at that, and almost subconsciously I gazed over to where the rest of the fellowship were talking about their encounters with lady.

"Its strange, in all the stories I've read where people get pulled into middle earth, they always describe the lady as a witch, but personally I cant see anything wrong with her, she seemed to find me speaking at the same time as Aragorn funny."

Soon we joined up with the rest of the fellowship and went back to doing what we did best, annoying them. After about ten minutes of, tripping them up, calling them names and otherwise driving them insane Legolas turned to us in exasperation and said:

"Do you not feel grief at the loss of Gandalf, how can you act so callously when he has been lost, do you not hear the lament of the elves?"

"Yes we can hear it" replied Elin, "But we knew it was going to happen, so we're not sad."

Elanor hit her hard. "Elin! You forget, they do not know what we do. . ."

"You knew he was going to fall" asked Aragorn in amazement "You knew yet you did nothing to stop him"

"Well" I said "If we stopped him, then we might have changed events for the worse, he was meant to fall, and we did give him a nice subtle hint about staying away from fire."

"For the worse" cried Legolas, in disbelief "Mithrandir has gone, hope is all but lost"

"Don't worry your pretty little head about it" I said, causing the other girls to start laughing, "I'm sure things will turn out for the best, what are they saying anyway, in the lament I mean"

"I have not the heart to translate it, for me the grief is to near"

Muttering to Elanor, about miserable middle earthers, I got up, deciding to go for a walk. Elanor got up and followed me, I think she was getting annoyed by the dejected state of the fellowship as well, though I did feel sorry for them when we left Moria, after all I suppose they don't know that he's going to come back.

"Where are we going, Megan?" Elanor questioned me,

"I don't know, I thought I would go and see what elves we could annoy here. Haldir seems to have a short temper, it shouldn't be too hard to drive him insane. Then when we put a sufficient amount of elves into a mental facility I thought we could go and spy on Frodo when he looks in the mirror, you never know, Galadriel might let us have a look."

"Sounds good to me. Let's go"

We found Haldir quite easily; he was sitting in a tree, apparently in deep thought as he fletched some new arrows.

"Hey Haldir," I called "Watchya doing"

"Ah, Vedui' (greetings) my ladies" he said leaping lightly from the tree, stupid fool, he would have been much safer up there, oh well, he would learn soon enough.

"I am fletching some new arrows and thinking of the loss of Mithrandir. It grieves me to learn of his death"

"I know," Elanor said, sniffing, "And his last words were so touching as well."

"His last words" Haldir asked, "If it's not too upsetting, could you tell me what they were?"

"Yes they were *sob* 'Ed' i'ear ar' elenea! Lle holma Amin autien rath" I said, my drama lessons coming in useful.

"By the seas and the stars you smell, I'm going to bed?" asked Haldir in confusion. Ok that proves it its definitely an elf thing, the Rivendell elves do it, so do the Mirkwood and elves and now the Lothlorien ones are doing it too. Or perhaps, I mused to myself thoughtfully, it's just the affect my companions and I have on the first born, that seems quite likely as well.

"Are you sure those were his last words?" Haldir asked "Only they do not sound like the usual views of the wizard."

"Hmm, your right, I think you may have got it wrong, now that I consider it I'm sure that they were, Tira ten', Lle n'vanima ar' lle atara lanneina"

"Look out, you are ugly and your mothers dress you funny, I think you may be mistaken, are you sure your minds have not been addled by anguish."

"Wait, I have it" cried Elanor, "It was definitely Haldir, Lle naa é Utinu en lokirim"

This time Haldir looked angry as he translated the message

"His last words most certainly weren't Haldir, you are a son of snakes, I think I am wasting my time talking to you, Amin feuya ten' lle (you disgust me) insulting a dead mans wisdom." With that he stormed off, leaving a hysterical Elanor and me in his wake.

"That was fun" Elanor gasped, when she had finally stopped laughing long enough to breathe. "Though so incredibly cruel."

"Yeah. Lets find someone else to annoy, I always thought Celeborn could do with being wound up a bit. He's far to stern, if he keeps it all bottled up the way he does he'll explode or have a heart attack. I mean, have you seen the way his left eye kept twitching when we spoke to him, it happened every time Galadriel contradicted him, which she did quite a lot."

Nodding in agreement, Elanor and I skipped happily off in search of the elf lord.

On reaching the Mallorn that was his home we called up,

"Celeborn, lord Celeborn, are you there" the rope ladder shook slightly and soon the elf lord appeared at the bottom, looking slightly disconcerted at being hailed by two human girls that he had never met before today, and human girls who were wearing very unladylike clothes in his opinion, honestly the look of pure disgust at our tunics and pants was really quite humorous, nonetheless he managed to speak politely to us.

"Yes, Megan, Elanor, what may I do for you?"

"We were just wondering what it was like being married to a woman that is, stronger, cleverer and more powerful than you will ever be, especially as this is a world where woman are thought of as inferior, I mean seriously it must be a blow to your male pride. And the fact that she was given the ring of power, instead of you, a male"

Well throughout this conversation he had been getting more and more purple, and at the mention of Nenya (A/N which by the way if anyone cares, which is highly unlikely I am saving up to buy of tolkientown.com, its very pretty) he blew up.

"You dare to insult me, you human girls who are several thousand years younger than me, and how do you know about Nenya. You are spies of Sauron, you, you Morierea (dark ones) Auta minqula yrch (go kiss an orc)"

Throughout this time we just stood there laughing hysterically, rolling around the floor in mirth, which only added to his anger. He stood there yelling at us for about five minutes, not noticing the hordes of elves, and the rest of our fellowship standing there in amazement at the sight. Finally though, the sound of tinkling laughter from the tree was heard and the Lady of the wood landed lightly next to her husband

"Dina Celeborn, Uuma dela Melamin, (Be silent Celeborn, don't worry my love) you are letting children get the better of you."

Breathing deeply, Celeborn glared daggers at us, as we were dragged away by Aragorn and Legolas, still laughing hysterically.

"Do you have a death wish?" Aragorn growled to us fiercely.

"Even imbeciles such as you should know better than insulting a powerful elf lord such as Celeborn."

"Sorry, Estel, it was just to tempting." Elanor said, her eyes glittering madly at Aragorn's angry glare at the use of his elf name.

"And" I said, loudly enough for the enraged elf to hear "Hs wife is more powerful, would you not agree? the loud squawk that emitted from the elf's direction told us that he had heard, and breaking into a sprint the man and elf dragging us quickly put a large distance between us and the fuming lord.

On reaching our sleeping area the elf and Isildur's heir proceeded to give us the longest lecture I had ever heard on the danger of angering elf lords. We just glazed out until they took a pause for breathing, before commenting mildly.

"You know Estel, that really is the pot calling the kettle black, if only Elrond could see you know, I'm sure he could remind you of all the times you have done the very same thing with various elves *coughGLORFINDELcough*."

Aragorn turned red and Legolas stepped forward as if to carry on but Elanor said:

"And you can't really talk either Legolas, all the important visitors that your ketrals have succeeded in annoying, I think you should all stop being so hypocritical."

With that Elanor and I walked sedately over to a couch each, rolled up in a blanket and promptly fell asleep.

(A/N, well that's the end of that chapter, I thought the recent ones had been lacking in humour so this was me making up for it, personally I think I did quite well, and everyone note that it still isn't a Mary Sue, Legolas and I have a brotherly sisterly relationship, in which I take delight in annoying him.
