(Hi everyone, how are you all? I am actually going to do something almost
unheard of and answer reviews because I got a semi-flame; well actually I
just think it was critical so I will answer it. And I have also got god
knows how many other flames before that but I'm not overly bothered by
them. I'm only writing this story because its fun to write.
Seriously Wrong- Hello, ok, well I don't mind that you were harsh in your previous review, everyone is entitled to their own opinions so if you don't like my story then fine you don't like it. However when you said about how I should try writing something original because then my writing could get a bit closer to Cassia and Sio's I was slightly annoyed because I have seven other stories in my account. Six of them where entirely thought up and the seventh is one is telling my idea of what happened when Aragorn was hunting Gollum. I was wondering if you could read and review one or more of these stories because you are the only person, barring Black Pearl, who has given me a signed uncomplimentary review. Therefore I would like to see what you think of my other stories, it could be interesting. Also one person has said that the style of my other stories are quite similar to Cassia and Sio's. I know that this story is unoriginal but I'm writing it because I am finding it fun to do. And my sister, my co writer, and some other readers of think its funny. I hope you do read one of my other stories because like I said it would be interesting to see if you thought they were any better. Oh and if this response sounded like I was annoyed with you or something to that extent I apologise, that wasn't my intention though it may have come off that way. Thanks.
And since I'm lovely I will answer any other reviews that I can remember of the top of my head, I would go onto the internet and check them but its Sunday so the library isn't open.
Tiger- Ok, my mum bought me the cardboard cutout of or something to that extent. It cost around £25. I'm sorry about being mean to Legolas, I really am but I was getting annoyed by the reviews calling it Mary Sue-ish because I am not the biggest fan of Mary Sue's. I also find very strange things funny, it's something I inherited from my father, I will laugh hysterically at things that really aren't funny.
Rachel Evans- Hello, glad that you still like this story, you are the only person who has been reviewing this from the beginning, here's another chapter for you. Enjoy.
Person who wanted a replica ring but whose name I cannot remember- Well I didn't know that Orville was a name of a popcorn brand, thank you for that gem of wisdom. I really do like that word; cyber-toodles is a very good word. There will be more of Orville coming up in later chapters I think, though I can't be sure.
Aussiesportstar-Yay, you got round to reading it, I'm glad you think its funny, considering that I think that you are probably the writer that I find the funniest on I consider that to be a compliment. Thank you for wishing me happy birthday, other than purplefluffychainsaw (Elanor) who dedicated a fic to me, you are the only person to acknowledge the fact that it was my birthday sob meh ah well. It was indeed a happy birthday, apart from the fact that I was working and so I spent around two hours picking up litter, which isn't the ideal way to celebrate the day of your birth. Ah well, I don't really watch the rugby league, both my brothers and my dad do, and my friend is absolutely obsessed with Johnny Wilkinson. And I mean really obsessed. If I did develop an obsession for any rugby players though, I doubt that I would have any room to put up any posters of him. As with you my room is basically a shrine to Legolas. I have (gets up to go count) 11 really big posters of him, 8 not quite so big posters, 50 and a half A4 pictures of him, 2 bookmarks with him on, a key ring with him on, 33 pictures of either him or other LOTR related characters which were cut out of magazines, and a birthday card drawn by purplefluffychainsaw (Elanor) with a picky of me and Leggy on the front. Oh, and of course there is my life size cardboard cut-out of Legolas, which acts as my wardrobe guardian, he's probably my piece de resistance. Anywho, so yeah, my room is probably as full as yours in that respect. I don't have any pictures on the ceiling yet, but that's because I have glow in the dark stars stuck up there. I can't remember what else you put in your review so thanks again. And this was remarkably long, are you sure it's not as long as the reviews that I give you, it is definitely my longest review ever received. Therefore this is now the longest response I have ever done. It is now 350 words long but by the time I have finished it, it will most likely be longer, I will write down how long it is at the end, I will probably ramble on for a while now. Sorry that my review of chapter 27 of a story by any other name wasn't that long. As I had only gotten back to school after the holidays I had about 79 new messages in my inbox, and I only had an hour to answer them in. Ok so most of them were author alerts, but then I had to read all the new chapters that I felt like reading. I almost forgot, from how I have described her so far in the story, do you think Diddins acts a bit like Sam or Trinity, because she really reminds me of them. For my birthday she got me a bright green plastic ring, two pairs of really big chunky plastic earrings, some purple metal square hoops (hoops that are square shaped as opposed to round) some ear warmers, nail varnish, gloves and a woolly hat (extremely bizarre presents considering its almost summer) a belt and a weird hair piece thing. The hair piece is a different shade of brown to my hair though, and it has metallic green things woven into it. It looks quite cool though, Diane hasn't brushed her hair for more than eight weeks now, and so it's rather on the tangly side. Priceless Treasures is really good, but then all of the stories by Cassia and Sio are, the next one in the series, Stars of Harad, is my favouritest story. Which one is your favourite so far? Ok well I think that is enough of a rambling response to your review. Thanks again. Toodles. (Number of words is 651)
Ok I think that that is all of them, if I left anyone out I apologise, I haven't got the internet so I couldn't check. Ok I apologise in case I got the name Wellinghall wrong, it's quite probable, but my sister has gone to Cornwall with her school and she has taken my copy of LOTR with her. I'm not complaining though because I have been moaning at her to read this book ever since I first read it and decided that it was brilliant. )
"I'm bored"
"I know Megan, so am I"
"How can you manage to be bored?" Legolas asked incredulously "You have never been here before, surely you can find something to do"
"Well that might have been possible, if it wasn't for the fact that you, Aragorn, Gandalf and Gimli seem to think that letting us lose in a settlement that has never met earth people before would be a danger to the Rohan society."
"Fair enough, point taken. Stop whining though you are giving me a headache."
It had been a while after the funeral, and the Elanor, Elin and I were waiting for the appearance of the two cute children. Lauren was sitting there glaring at anyone who dared to look at her and so people were obviously avoiding looking in her direction.
I was about to reply, but then Elanor whispered to me.
"Give the elf a break, his best friends going to die in the next 24 hours or so, well not actually die but Legolas will think he has died."
"I suppose so, anyway I suppose we can explore the golden hall cant we, and I really need to have a bath or a shower."
"I think we all do" Elin put in, "do you think that Legolas would allow us to do that?"
"I don't know but it's worth a try" I replied, "But I scare him, perhaps you or Elanor should ask"
"Agreed" Sam said, before getting up and walking over to said golden haired beauty.
"Legolas" she asked, in the sweetest voice she could muster. The elf looked suddenly afraid
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, do you know where we can get a bath, or a shower? And are we allowed to explore the hall."
"I do not know where you could find a bath, but you could ask the lady Eowyn, she might know. And as to exploring the hall, as long as you do not touch anything, I don't see why not."
"Hannon le, mellon nin"
Legolas smiled and we all went skipping along to find the lady of the Rohirrim. We found her pretty quickly and half an hour later we were all clean once more, sadly we were also bored again.
"Why don't we explore?" Elin said, "Explore the hall I mean"
"We may as well, there's nothing better to do"
"I think I'll just sit here and sulk" Lauren said, which didn't really surprise me.
The rest of us however went and started exploring, ignoring the fact that Gandalf and Théoden had just walked past holding a boy and a girl who were probably called Freda and Eothain and who had probably just fallen off a horse while Theoden was standing grieving at his sons tomb.
Back to Diddins
Well we had reached Wellinghall, Mickey's house and the hobbits had fallen asleep. I really think that that is very rude; Mickey was singing them a lovely song about Fimbrethil the entwive, and then what do they do but fall asleep.
Anyway, the ent had gone away again, he said he was going to tell the ents of a moot that was happening and he showed me where something called ent draught was stored in case I got hungry.
Needless to say I did get hungry so I was drinking some, and it was quite nice really, made me grow slightly taller, when suddenly Pippin woke up and being a pig he stole the draught and started drinking it himself.
Then Merry woke up and they were fighting to get the draught which is really very stupid, when all of a sudden it went flying all over a tree.
"Stop fighting you stupid hobbits"
"DIANE HELP, THE TREES EATING US"
"Serves you right for arguing"
"We're very sorry, NOW HELP US"
"Since you asked so nicely, no, it's much funnier to just sit here and watch."
So I sat there and laughed at the fact that a willow tree was trying to eat two young hobbits, but then Mickey decided that it would be a good idea to stop him so he cane into the clearing. Well after saying something about digging deep and drinking water and eating soil the tree spat out the two hobbits once again. Personally I thought it was funnier watching them being eaten but I suppose Gandalf did tell Mickey to keep the hobbits safe, and allowing a willow to eat them might breach this agreement slightly.
So after the hobbits had been rescued we all climbed onto Mickey's various branches once more and we set out into the forest. Once again he started telling us more stories about things he had done, and once again the hobbits pretty much fell asleep and ignored them. Honestly it is so rude, ok so Mickey does have a tendency to talk extremely slowly in the same tone of voice barely pausing for breath but that doesn't make him any less interesting.
Well we had been walking for a while when we reached a clearing in the middle of which there was a large funny looking stone. So then Mickey made a loud noise and to my delight lots more ents arrived. I really like the ents, they are so funny, but they have stupid names though, so I may be forced to rename some of them. Honestly, imagine being called Beechbone, I think I would become very depressed if that was my name.
After several hours of listening to them talking though, I wasn't finding them quite so funny. The three of us, the two hobbits and myself, just kept randomly wandering round in circles. The hobbits would occasionally stop and have a conversation about how long the ents were taking, but they ignored me a lot, probably because I was all for letting the tree eat them but there you go.
Finally the ents seemed to have finished and Mickey walked over to us.
"I have given your names to the ents, and we have thus decided that you are not little orcs" the ent looked expectantly at us, but then Merry said.
"But what are you going to about Saruman?"
So then Mickey said that everything took a lot longer to say in old entish and to not be hasty. I have thus decided that ents like to say don't be hasty, Mickey had already told us not to be hasty at least five times.
And so they began talking all over again. Hoo boy, I thought, this was going to be a long night.
Back to the other four earth girls
"The city must empty; we are leaving for the refuge of Helms Deep."
I awoke with a jump to the sound of Hama yelling about how we were evacuating the town. The four of us had got bored of exploring the hall, and had eventually fallen asleep.
Looking up I saw the three hunters and Gandalf storm pass and so, having nothing better to do I decided to follow them.
Well after Gandalf had finished telling Aragorn to look for him at dawn on the fifth day he rode out of the stables on Shadowfax, narrowly missing knocking over Legolas and Gimli, how rude.
I didn't have too long to dwell on this though because the others were woken up and we were sent off, by the three hunters to help people get ready to depart.
Several hours later we were done. All the people were ready and everything was packed up. We were once again given horses but only Elin decided to use hers. She was the only one who could actually ride a horse, I found it extremely uncomfortable after a while, and Eleanor felt the same. And Lauren's horse seldom let her ride it so she decided not too as well.
So Rohan was evacuated, and all of its citizens and those who were with the fellowship slowly left the city. All the while I was whimpering to Eleanor about how much I hated wargs but I knew it was no use. I wanted to stay and see Legolas fight so I would have to put up with large slobbering dog like creatures.
[And there we have it, at long last chapter 18 I think. Hope you liked it, if not meh.]
