Decision of School
By Tobias Glass

The planning had gone on for weeks, and now before them were the plans. Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin had given in all of their family inheritance into the land, and the use of the quarry. The four of them had designed the school form the inside out, the size, where everything was and the magic involved in the construction. That week they hired the services of a whole guild of wizarding stone-masons, and so began the building. While the men built the women designed lessons plans, and the contacting of the students. A mail system was to be discovered through Rowena, who had tamed an owl to her uses after it had been wounded. Salazar managed to capture a male for her female and every year after that they had a brood of owls, and the babies would have broods, and Godric built them a room. Through all this, Hogwarts hadn't yet been named Hogwarts. In fact, at the mention of populating the woods with creatures and bringing mermaids to live in the depths of the lake Helga had announced it as Hogwash.

"Wouldn't most consider a school that teacher's magic nothing more than Hogwarts?"

"Indeed, but despite this we won't go away!" Godric exclaimed.

"You would say so, and it's true about you. You're like a wart that refuses to go away," Salazar said while shoving a lock of blond hair behind his ear.

"Hogwash," Rowena mused, and they all looked at her.

"HOGWARTS!" Godric exclaimed, shooting his goblet into the air and splattering Salazar with it.

"Well, since it's run by an annoying git, sure," he said, taking a handkerchief to his shirt.

It didn't take long to find students, in fact, most were more than eager to attend a school to learn how to use that which they were born with. The classes developed as did the heads of houses. New staff members were brought on and all the while the interior design continued. Vanishing staircases, coded doors and the paintings that talked, all of which Salazar enjoyed doing. Rowena loved to prank the stairs, make doorways that weren't what they seemed and Helga ruled over the kitchens and infirmary with an iron grip. Houselves were brought in and treated as almost royalty so they would live long lives and enjoy them. Hogwarts at that time was full of learning and peace, but none could foretell the darkness that would descend around it in future ages.
