(A/N I know this is stupid and random, but I don't really care.)
Harry was in the Gryffindor common room with Ron and Hermione. Harry and Ron were doing homework and Hermione was doing something with S.P.E.W. Suddenly, screams could be heard from outside. The friends just figured it was some prank Fred and George did. The screams were getting louder and dramatic background music could be heard.
"I wonder what's going on. It must be something serious, otherwise there wouldn't be dramatic music playing," Harry was starting to get worried.
"Let's find out." At this Hermione went out of the room, closely followed by Harry and Ron.
The halls were full of panicked students. At first Harry couldn't see what was wrong, but soon he saw small objects running around. After a closer look, he recognized these objects as...house elves. Then he saw Dobby running around trying to stop the others.
"Dobby, what's going on?" Harry had to shout over the noise.
"Dobby is doing nothing. Dobby would never do anything to hurt Harry Potter. The other house elves are mad because someone set them all free. Dobby is trying to tell them that free is not bad, but they don't listen to Dobby." At that the house elf got thrown against the wall.
"Hermione, what did you do? They're angry because someone set them all free. Now they've gone mental."
Hermione didn't get to answer. The house elves had now taken out their spam-shooting guns. Spam now filled the halls.
Three hours later Dumbledore finally got things settled down. The castle was a mess. The elves had gotten tired of the spam guns and went onto Jell- O. After that, it had been ducks, then honey, then sparkly, green boas, then purple socks. When they were about to tar and feather everybody Dumbledore gave the elves sugar, which, surprisingly, subdued them.
Exhausted, Harry and his pals went to bed. Right before they fell asleep, Ron asked Harry if he thought this was a good excuse to not do the homework. Harry just shook his head.
