Disclaimer: I don't own Charmed!! I found that out yesterday...I think it's
pretty sad actually...but..OH WELL!! I do however own Paisley and Patience.
Be proud of me! I found two more names beginning with P!! lol...well....this is
kinda based on personal experience..being the writer of it anyway. I've
seen someone spiral out of control because of their school life....so I'm
writing it as I've seen it...Please R&R
Seventeen-year-old Paisley Halliwell slowly crept out of bed and across the wooden floorboards of her large room. She quietly yanked the door open and tiptoed across the floor to the bathroom. It had been the second time that week that she'd had an awful nightmare. She kept dreaming that people from her school classes were after her, the nobody in the back of the class. They scared her. No matter how many times she told herself that they were just dreams, she couldn't shake off the nervous feeling as she walked down the hallways.
She flicked the light switch on and tried to push the bathroom door closed, cursing when it got stuck. She slid down the door and curled up into a ball on the floor. It wouldn't be the first time that her life had got her down. Ever since she'd turned twelve her life has turned upside down. She'd changed; she'd become a shy, quiet teenager that no one knew or wanted to know. It upset her, because her fifteen-year-old sister Patience was every girls dream. She was pretty, popular and had a really good group of friends. But most of all, Paisley wanted to be like her because she didn't dread going to school everyday...she didn't have to.
It was all the wrong way around. Paisley had always hated that she wasn't the role model, the cool big sister with the nice car, the gorgeous boyfriend and the really popular cheerleading friends that all the younger girls would kill to be like. She even looked younger than Patience.
Paisley stared solemnly out of the low bathroom window as a single tear rolled down her cheek. She could no longer handle her thoughts. She couldn't concentrate at school, she couldn't hold a conversation, and she couldn't be strong for her mother...not that Piper acted like her mother anymore.
Since she and Dan had divorced, Piper had done nothing but mope around the house, cry and sleep. Paisley didn't understand why, Dan was an ass anyway. She left Paisley and Patience to do their own food, get themselves to school, and do the housework and the shopping. It wasn't fair on them, but if they didn't do it, they'd starve to death...there was no way around it.
Paisley opened the bathroom window wide and sat down right opposite it, huddling her knees to her chest. The freezing midnight air rushed in from the bay of San Francisco and whipped around her thin frame. She began to shiver and felt the goosebumps rise on her arms and legs. Her body was turning numb...she could no longer feel the cold wind or the hurt feeling inside of her. It was a release of anger, a release of pain. She slowly rolled onto her side and drifted in and out of an uncomfortable sleep on the icy white tiles of the bathroom, the window still stretched open, relieving her of pain.
AN: So..that was the first chapter..I planned all this story this morning when I was listening to the Evanescence album...it gives strange inspiration. Please R&R...appreciated. (
