Chapter 7

telepath speech - Italics

We finally made it to Professor Xavier's office. I just stared at the door. I sighed as I lifted my hand to knock, but before I had to chance I heard 'Come in' I smiled knowing he would do that.

I turned around and gave Rogue a soft smile.

"I'll wait for you out here" she said, "oh and be nice" she added.

"I'm always nice" I said before I closed the door. Heh, I didn't give her a chance to come back.

Prof. X was behind his desk. The guy is intimidating whether he intends to be or not.

"Have a seat, John"

So I took a seat and I told him what occurred at Alkali Lake. However, I left out my secrets. I will deal with those on my own as I have for so long.

"Anyone in your situation would have gone with Eric and no one can blame you for that. So, since we got that cleared up, your old room is still available"

I paused for a moment, "There's one little problem...If I go back to my old room a war is going to start between Bobby and I"

He gave me a look, 'Settle it as soon as possible' He clearly meant.

"I can't promise anything..."

"Well, for now you can have your own room until you can work things out with Bobby. I'll tell Rogue to show you where it is"

"Thanks", I said as I stood up. I walked to the door and my hand was on the knob, 'if you ever need to talk...I'm here'

'thanks' I replied back and I walked out of his office.

Rogue was sitting on the floor waiting for me like she said she would.

"Do you want to get your stuff now or later?" She said as I was helping her off the floor.

"I don't have much so it can wait. Plus I don't want to run into Bobby right now"
As we were heading to my temporary room I started to poke Rogue.

"What are you doing?"

"Poking you" I simply said.

"And why are you poking me?"

"I need something to do...would you rather I flick my lighter?"

"I can't believe I'm saying this but yes...yes I would"

"Whatever you say Rogue" I stopped poking her and I took out my lighter.

-Click, click, click-

I sighed and smiled, "Music to my ears"
The room had a queen size bed, bathroom, closet, T.V., desk, etc, and best of all...it was all mine!

"I think I hit the jackpot...I may never want to leave! I can flick my lighter day and night, and I won't have Bobby threatening to ice me" I said as I fell back on the bed. "I'm in heaven"

A/N: It's kind of short I know. Wow, John seems happy...will the happiness last? The next chapter should be my last and then I'm going to start the sequel...YAY...okay I'm back to my normal non-hyper self...did I just say I was normal?
