Dear Diary,
How was I to know it was too late? Why did I have to be too nervous?
I should have asked her earlier, for now its too late. I have lost my Lily.
I did not ever think this would happen. I was already planning our
wedding. I should have asked earlier, like I said. For now, I've lost my
Lily.
She always brightened the room when she walked in. I didn't ever
think this would happen. I was her best friend, or so I thought. But now
its too late, because I've lost my Lily
She never really liked James. It didn't ever bother me if she did or
didn't. But then I didn't know he'd bud in. He just smiled away while he
was asking her. Hatred built up inside of me. I regret feeling that now. He
is one of my only friends due to my problem. But now, because of him, I've
lost my Lily.
Whenever Lily needed something, I'd be there. James would be off with
Sirius and Peter either snogging girls (not peter really), or playing
pranks. Not that I don't like playing pranks. I'd be there for Lily anytime
she needed me. And being the gentleman I am, I even helped her walk in high
heels. But then, I lost my Lily.
That's how kind I was. But then James budded in. I think Lily never
even thought about our friendship during that first kiss. My heart was
broken when he said those words.

"Will you marry
me?"
