Once upon a time there was this kid, and her name was Little Red Riding Hood. Little Red Riding Hood was friends with the big bad wolf. They created a partnership in to rub out Granny and become filthy rich. They we're under the impression that while the lil' old lady lived like she was poor; the old hag really was just miserly stashed the cash.
The plan was for Red to go to Granny's house, get the will signed over to Red, and have the wolf eat Granny. Red and Wolf would split the profits from selling the house, and they would both get rich quick. There was only one problem. With Wolf in the woods, and it being difficult for Red to meet him, there was a lack of communication.
As a result, Wolf killed Granny before the will was signed. So when Red walked into the house to find her Granny dead, and no signed will, she became pissed of. In the same moment she realized they had committed murder, not manslaughter, honest to whatever murder. Red decided to cover her ass, as is the problem in any partnership of crime. She ran away to find a woodcutter, and told him a horrible story of a wolf eating her Granny. The woodsman came and killed Wolf without a second thought. With the wolf dead, and a witness to state she didn't kill her grandmother, Red was home free.
So what happened to the money, and the grandmother's estates? I don't know, I'm not a lawyer. I do know granny didn't have much in life besides a granddaughter who wanted her dead, her house on crap property, and some mean recipes for pie and cake. And thus Little Red Riding Hood became Betty Crocker.
