Through His Eyes
She lays sprawled on her couch,
Listening to the past,
Remembering what he had said.
He had seen right down into her,
Knowing things he couldn't know,
Seeing thing even she hadn't seen.
As she drifts off into sleep,
A stranger looks at her,
Through a curtain of darkness.
Seven years had taken their toll,
They had nearly drained her of her strength,
Now what was left but a lonely woman?
Though she slept silently,
He knows she is suffering terror behind closed eyes,
The lambs have remained screaming.
Her beauty is undeniable,
Bold blue eyes framed by thick brown lashes,
Small beautiful mouth.
How he longed to touch her again,
He yearned to taste her lips,
Feel her body full against his.
For now he'll settle,
For one touch of her hair,
Agony grips the stanger as disappears back into the darkness.
She lays sprawled on her couch,

He had seen right down into her,
