Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest of all the Hogwarts students [except the first years of course since they would be brought in by boat (or so they thought)] were looking up as they had begun to enter the Great Hall for the Sorting's Hat new song and well...sorting. There were no decorations and the ceiling was a normal average looking ceiling with no floating anythings. Once Harry and Ron had sat down, Hermione was still standing beside them staring directly at where Dumbledore would normally sit.
"Harry, Ron! Look over there," pointing to Dumbledore, "Dumbledore is in Hargid's chair..." she broke off to hear the sound of the Great Hall doors opening with a boom. It was of course Hagrid. Silence had arisen to the deep and rough voice coming from within Hagrid. "Sorry I'm late, but do yer know that when hippogriffs have their 100th birthday the'r quite rowdy! Oh well, what der I miss?" Once Hermione had realized that she was the last to take a seat she immediately plopped into it. Dumbledore arose and cleared his throat before making one of the most important and startling announcements ever in Hogwarts history.
"Hagrid please take your seat." Dumbledore's voice was much different, maybe he had a cold. "All right professor, but umuh, aren't ya in mer seat?" Hagrid said as he was walking to the staff table in the front of the Great Hall. "No...no, Hargid I am where I am supposed to be. Students, listen very carefully now. I am now the Care of Magical Creatures teacher and Hagrid is the new Hogwarts headmaster." There was a murmur of voices after Professor Dumbledore had spoken. "This may be surprising to some of you," He had his eye on the Slytherin table, "but some of course are agreed that I was the worst thing to happen to Hogwarts. I do not believe so. I believe that the beginning of Hogwarts is the greatest thing to happen school. Some of you may already know, but the new Minister of Magic is Grawp. That is his name, simply Grawp. He is half-giant and...is Hagrid's brother. I am sure all of you know that Hagrid will be a great headmaster. My advice to you is to keep up your faith in Hagrid; it's what keeps him going." Harry could see that Hagrid blushed after Professor Dumbledore was done speaking even with the frizzy beard.
A/N: so wadda ya think? I know its short but well that's just my type I guess. Anyways if I get enough complaints I'll redo ch 1 to satisfy those who are so picky!
