Sirius looked down at the sleeping boy in his arms. He gently pushed a strand of honey, silver flecked hair from the boy's face. The boy was his best friend, his lover, his Remus.

I could stay right hear just to hear you breathing,

Watch you smile while you are sleeping,

While your far away and dreaming,

I could spend my life in this sweet surrender,

I could stay lost in this moment forever,

Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure,

Lying here felt like some wonderful dream and Sirius was scared to close his eyes incase he woke up somewhere terrible. Anywhere without Remus.

I don't want to close my eyes, I don't want to fall asleep,

Being there with Remus seemed more like a memory to Sirius. As he gazed down at the milky skin and high cheekbones it began to feel like something from a time long forgotten by everyone else.

Then I kiss your eyes and thank god we're together,

I just want to stay with you in this moment forever and ever and ever,

Sirius never wanted to leave Remus. In fact he never even wanted to leave this moment. Remus sighed happily in his sleep. He subconsciously pulled Sirius closer and muttered contentedly,

" Sirius." but Sirius barely heard it. It was as if it was coming from a long way of.

All around Sirius the room began to fade. The only thing Sirius could really see was Remus but as he tried to hold on to the image his eyes began to feel heavy and close. He hugged Remus closer but everything was going black.

" Remus."

And I don't want to miss one smile,

I just want to be with you right here with you just like this,

I just want to hold you close and feel your heart so close to mine,

And just stay here in this moment for all the rest of time,

The first thing Sirius heard when he woke up was the sound of a rattling breath sucking all the warmth from the air. He wanted to go back to sleep. Back to Remus. But it was to late. It was all to late. It had been nearly eight years since Sirius had last seen Remus and he missed him more everyday. He knew him being in Azkaban would be killing Remus. The wolf needed its mate. Sirius was prepared to spend the rest of time making it up to him.

" Remus."

Hundreds of miles away Remus sighed happily in his sleep. He subconsciously pulled his pillow closer and murmured contentedly,
