Naraku is dead Inuyasha and Kagome defeated him on their own. They stand under the sacred tree that has once again bloomed with the blossoms falling around them. The pair just staring into each other's eyes while in each other's arms. Their faces move closer ever so close until they finally kiss once they each pull away blushing Inuyasha says "Kagome there's something I have to tell you."
"What is it Inuyasha?" asked Kagome.
"I love you" Inuyasha chokes out "I've loved you ever since I realized you hold a warmth that can melt the coldest heart, Kikyou could never compare to you."
Kagome's face brightens up "I love you as well Inuyasha ever since I saw you pinned to the sacred tree you looked so peaceful my heart skipped a beat." With that Inuyasha's face brightened up and they started kissing each other compassionately.
(2 Minutes Later)
Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kirara, and Keade walk upon the seen of the couple kissing and they all hide while covering Shippo's eyes. Inuyasha's ears twitch Kagome feels the slight vibration sent through his body when they did, so she broke the kiss and whispered "You must really of liked that to keep on doing it when you know we are being spied on," Inuyasha just gives an innocent smile, Kagome giggles then yells, "Come out you guy's we know you're watching. Everyone files out from behind the bushes Miroku first Sango second holding Shippo covering his eyes still with Kirara on her shoulder then Keade Kagome gasped then said "Keade? What are you doing spying on us with them?"
"Aye child I was spying on the lovely couple standing before me." Keade said with a sweet smile.
"And how 'bout are usual snoops?" said Inuyasha in a slightly raised voice. Miroku only gave his lecherous grin, Sango was grinning ear to ear, Shippo had no clue in hell what was going on,and Kirara just went "mew".
"OK you guys I have to get going to tell mama that we defeated Naraku and other news." Kagome said as she looked at Inuyasha. They all bid their good byes and had the usual struggle with Shippo. Then Inuyasha picked Kagome up bridal style and ran to the well once they got there Inuyasha put Kagome down and told her to hurry back then Kagome jumped into the well and grabbed Inuyasha's hand to take him with her. While in mid flight Inuyasha gets his bearings smiles at Kagome and says "You sneak."
(Inside Kagome's house)
"Mama I'm home and I brought an adorable cute puppy with me." yelled Kagome.
"Hey I'm not cute!" yelled Inuyasha.
"Yes you are." replied Kagome while giving him a kiss on the cheek right in front of her mom.
"Oh, now I see why you said you brought an adorable cute puppy with you." said a very happy mother.
"Yep." replied Kagome.
(Later that night in Kagome's room)
Inuyasha and Kagome are making out while sitting on her bed, suddenly Inuyasha breaks the kiss and says "Um Kagome there's something I've been wanting to ask you."
"What is it?" asked Kagome.
"Here come with me." said Inuyasha taking Kagome out to the sacred tree there's not a cloud in the sky a full moon and you can see the stars great for being in Tokyo. Inuyasha holds Kagome's hand gets down on one knee and asks "Kagome, my love, will you marry me?"
Kagome replies " You don't know how long I've waited to hear that, yes of course I will marry you Inuyasha." With that Inuyasha gives a Miroku smirk ,just at that Kagome knows what she has gotten herself into, and takes Kagome away deep into what's left of Inuyasha's Forest where things get a little heated up.
