Eh, my first writing in the Naruto fandom...

Young Gai sat there, in the middle of his parents' rug, and carefully regarded the other child whom his parents were minding. This kid was an intruder in his home, and he was going to show him just who was boss!
He stood up, and unknowingly taking advantage of the nine-month difference between the two, ambled over to Kakashi.
Kakashi's hand shot out, his fingers wrapping around the strap of Gai's dungarees, as he yanked on them to pull himself upright. Gai stumbled a bit under the force, but held himself straight as Kakashi used his new prop to stay upright.
As he was only ten months old, the little boy still didn't have the ability to stand up unaided, let alone attempt to walk, so when Gai stepped backwards, Kakashi was forced to follow unsteadily. Unfortunately, his knees gave out and he toppled forward, taking Gai with him.
SMACK!
The boys' foreheads whacked together. They reacted in the only way they knew how.
"WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
And so the two rivals met for the first time.
