Chapter 33. waiting for the right moment to strike.

Jakob's eyes widened as he heard the word she had called him.

"Bella? Is that you?"

The blonde woman hugged him hard, and Jakob, who felt like he just wanted to scream, hugged her back.

She released him again, and he could see the sad smile on her face.

"I could wait, little lamb. I had to be with you. Make sure that you grow. But Jakob, you must tell Bella now. What did you do?"

"I… I summoned it. I didn't know what I was doing and only wanted to save someone. It required sacrifice, and I provided it."

Bellatrix closed her eyes for a moment. He looked pleadingly for her to open them again.

"Who did you sacrifice?"

Jakob glanced at the downed body of Ron.

"Ginny Weasley. I…" he felt a hand slapping him across the face.

He raised his hand towards his burning cheek and looked away in shame.

"You have no idea of the powers you are meddling with. You are not strong enough. You will never summon that thing again."

Jakob nodded.

"I promise."

His legs gave out, and he sat down on the floor.

"I… did the boggart tell the truth?" asked Jakob in a whisper.

"Is she down there with him, being torn apart?"

Bella sat down beside him and gave him embraced him.

"Do you really want me to answer that question, little lamb?"

Jakob closed his eyes, and a tear rolled down.

"Then it is what I have feared. I condemned her to a faith worse than death." Bella hushed him as she slowly rocked him in her arms.

"Yes, but the important thing now is for you to grow stronger, and little Bella will help you, my prince."

He sat there for a while, letting Bella take care of him in a manner that not even Emma or Susie could. The pictures of Ginny started again, and his breaths became shallow, quicker. He shook his head, trying to get rid of it, but the laughter and words from the thing echoed in his mind.

"sh,sh,sh, my little lamb. Take deep calm breaths. Just like that." Bella's sing-song voice broke through the laughter and picture, and he focused on feeling her playing with his hair like she had done that evening.

He closed his eyes and steadied his breathing taking long slow breaths together with her and listening to the lullaby she sang in almost a whisper.

"Once, there was a boy who fell. He died one day and went to hell.

He froze in fear of what he saw. But then he fought with tooth and claw.

His fright and fear went away. With rising hate and rage, he won the day.

He was now a king, mighty and strong. And return to the place he once belonged."

She kissed him on his temple and felt his heartbeat calming down.

"Feeling better?" she asked, and the boy nodded and opened his eyes.

"Yeh. Thank you. I don't know what that was, but I really hate it."

The professor giggled and Hugged him closer.

"It's only your emotions, nothing dangerous, but I will teach you how to control them. When you feel like that, close your eyes and think of the little melody in your head. It will bring up this moment, and remember to breathe."

The Slytherin boy nodded, and Bella released him, standing up.

"Go ahead. I will just clean up a bit here." She said, taking out her wand.

"It's better if they all forgot what they saw here today," whispered Jakob, looking towards Pansy and Draco.

"It's enough that we two saw it."

Bella nodded.

"meet me here tonight to serve your detention."

Jakob nodded, walked over to the door, clasping the handle, and frowned.

"Bella?"

"Yes, little lamb?"

The boy turned his head towards her.

"Why were you acting like that towards me in class?"

The blonde version of Bella smirked back at the boy.

"Two reasons. First, I needed to see how well you could control your own emotions. I can say that anger is under control, and we will train on the rest. The second reason." she said and grinned.

"You lied to me, and I warned you that you would be punished if you did that to me again and wanted to give you a detention. You are Bella's favourite little boy, but Ms Webb will do anything to make you stronger."

He nodded and gave her a slight smile walking out of the room, leaving the unstable mass murderer alone in the room with unconscious teens.

She looked to the door, and her smile was instantly replaced with a grave expression.

"He isn't strong enough yet. I will get him ready, Morgana. I promise, my love."

She then looked down at the teenagers, sighed and waved her wand.

Jakob walked out of the castle and strolled on the Hogwarts grounds with no real destination in mind. He tried to clear his mind and listen to the gravel's sounds as he put his weight on it, The birds chirping and the wind that made a slight whistling sound as it passed his ears. And soon, he saw that he was headed towards the Quidditch pitch.

He walked over to the massive stadium and sat in the bleachers.

He leaned back, looked up at the cloudy sky, and closed his eyes, hearing the Lully by in his head. A smile graced Slytherin's face as he took a breath, feeling the relief sweeping threw his body like a wave of water.

"Mind if I join you?" said a voice, and Jakob frowned and opened his eyes.

"You have got to be kidding me." he sighed as he saw Sirius standing beside him.

Sirius smirked and sat down on the seat near him.

"You know, I loved to play Quidditch when I was younger."

Jakob closed his eyes, pretending not to listen to the older man's words.

"I played a lot with James, Remus and…."

Jakob opened one of his eyes.

"Is there a meaning to this story?"

Sirius looked out on the field.

"I was hated by my family for not sharing their beliefs and being sorted into Gryffindor instead of Slytherin. I ran away from my home when I was sixteen, and James's parents let me stay with them."

Jakob looked at the man, and a glare was forming on his face as Sirius continued.

"They were good people. They took me in when I had no one else, and then they suddenly were gone after that night when the dark lord came for Harry and Ivy."

"why are you telling me all this, Black?" asked Jakob, trying but failing to hide his rising annoyance. Sirius looked back at him with a sorrow-filled smile.

"You don't have to choose the way your family chooses. If you feel someday that you need aid. You can always talk to Dumbledore or me."

Jakob laughed.

"Why in the living hell would I need your help?" asked the Slytherin boy to the now frowning Sirius.

"If you had been sorted into Slytherin, you would not have had anyone to escape to. I don't seek to run away from my friends or loved ones like a coward."

"I was only offering kid. You don't need to be a bitch about it." snorted Sirius and Jakob raised his eyebrow.

"A bitch? No. No. You were a bitch for running away, and your failing house was a joke. You ran and were left alone. Lord Black, if you had been in my house. The lord Quade would have ripped you apart before you even thought about running. "Jakob had a menacing tone, making the lord Black feel a shiver running down his spine.

The black-haired boy gave him one last sneer before standing up, leaving the Auror behind. Sirius watched the boy walking back into the castle and sighed.

"You really believe he can be saved?"

Dumbledore appeared and sat beside one of his most trusted allies.

"I believe that Quade has the power to end this. He is strong and has shown me time and time again that he is good. He hasn't turned to the darkness yet. But he needs good guidance and aid to see the light, like someone else I know needed when he was that age." Dumbledore gave Sirius a meaningful glance. The Auror nodded and sighed.

"I saw him with Miss Granger. They are very friendly, but I don't think you are right about them, Albus."

Dumbledore looked surprised at lord Black.

"Oh? Then enlighten me, what have you seen?"

Sirius chuckled.

"I saw him and Ivy kissing. He tried to push her away, but I have the feeling that they have been at it for a time now. It almost reminds me of how James and Lilly were, except for the kissing and close contact."

Dumbledore nodded and thought for a few seconds.

"Good Sirius, very good. Keep an eye on the boy, and I will see what I can do with this formation."

"What about my godson? Isn't he the one in the prophecy? Are we just tossing him aside?" asked Sirius with a frown.

Dumbledore took a heavy breath and lay a hand on the other man's shoulder.

"He is my boy. He is. But I fear that Mr Quade is close to another prophecy. One that is very old, that I won't tell you or the order before I can be certain of it."

"Is that prophesy more dangerous than the dark lords and Harry's? And what kind of proof do you need before you know?"

Dumbledore stood up.

"I'm afraid I can only answer your first question, Sirius. If that prophecy was to come true, then I fear that not even me and Voldemort together would be able to stop it."

Jakob sat yet again with his friends around the dinner table. He listened to their talk about how the class had been wonderful, how Jakob had earned them ten points for getting every answer on the paper.

"Shame you got there too late, mate. It's brutal that she gave you a detention for being five minutes late." Said Draco, and Jakob snorted.

"Yeh… five minutes," He took a bite of his meal, Pretending he wasn't annoyed that she had switched his three seconds to five minutes. He had never been that late.

When dinner was finished and they all had returned to the common room Marcus went over to Draco and Jakob.

"I don't need to ask about you two still being in the team?"

Draco shook his head, giving a thumbs up, but Jakob sighed.

"Quade, don't tell me," began Marcus, almost looking like he was preparing for a fight.

"I don't have time, Flint. I have a lot of things to do this year, and I won't have time for practice."

Flint sighed in relief.

"You are a bloody beater, and you are good. So skip going to practices, but I expect to see you on the field when we crush the other teams."

Jakob gave him a thumbs up, Marcus responded by giving him a glare for scaring him, and he walked away.

"You know you don't have to attend practice. Why did you say that?" asked Draco with a frown.

"Because I wanted to see him sweat for a moment," said Jakob in a low voice. And the two boys almost giggled.

The evening continued, but the Slytherin third year had a detention to get to. When everyone was having fun, Jakob walked up the stairs towards Bella's office.

He knocked on the door, and Professor web opened it and gestured for him to get inside.

She took out her wand and waved it around, locking the door and silencing it before turning towards her little lamb.

"There, now no one should be able to disturb us." she walked over to her desk and motioned for Jakob to take the seat beside her.

He walked around and sat beside her, looking at the different parchments she had over her desk.

"Improvements in condition?" she asked, still looking down at her papers.

"I can run around the black lake with three stops where I walk for about a minute.

Bella sorted some parchment in her stack of papers and then got up.

Jakob stood, watching as she went to the door and turned towards him.

"Let me see what you have learned," stated the blonde professor, and that feral smile graced her lips and eyes.

Jakob stood still for a moment, and Bella mimicked his stance. They almost looked like two cowboys that were about to draw their guns.

Jakob flicked out his wand and moved a step to his left, avoiding a blue jet of light flying towards him. Damned, she was fast, he thought as she narrowly missed his shoulder.

Jakob waved his wand with small movements, whispering out the spells.

A shield hammer, a transfigured spear, and a limb-removing curse flew towards Bella. She looked satisfied as she dodged the two first attacks and moved to the side, letting the third one pass her head.

She was about to give him an approving nod when three swords were heading towards her, and she smirked.

"Does my little lamb want to play?" she laughed and almost bounced in joy. Her waving wand turned the swords into three black panthers.

Jakob's eyes widened as she pointed her wand towards him, and the three black cats pounced forwards.

He pointed his wand down in Infront of his feet.

"Serpensortia." he hissed, and a large black snake rose, taller than himself.

He then pointed his wand towards one of the panthers, transformed it into another snake, and sent them after the last cat, who was almost in striking range.

He then jumped out of the way from a sickly yellow spell as he heard Bella laugh. Rolling away, he felt that fire had caught on his robe. And he hid behind a desk.

"Oh, Jakob? Don't you want to come out and play with the big bad wolf?" he heard Bella say in a sing-song voice and then laughed.

He looked over the desk to determine where the witch was, and a red jet of light almost flew right in his face.

"Because the wolf wants to play with you, my little lamb."

Jakob turned his ring and took a deep breath.

He stood slowly. Seeing that his snakes and panthers had been destroyed, he walked carefully over to Bella. She was looking over at the table.

"If I win, little lamb, you will reward me." He saw the blonde professor close her eyes for a moment, smiling like she had already imagined her receiving it.

He took out his knife from his inner pocket and placed himself behind her.

He placed the knife around her throat as he pointed his wand at her back and breath out.

"Is that a wand, or are you just happy to be behind me?" asked Bella leaning back her head against his shoulder, not caring that he right now could end her life.

"There is one thing in duelling I will teach you now, little lamb. She said and stepped hard on his foot as she pushed away the knife from her throat.

She then pointed her wand at him.

"You should always finish the job. Never wait for surrender because that only gives your opponent a chance to attack."

He raised his hands.

"right, you win. But I almost had you," said Jakob with a smirk.

Bella looked very amused as she still held him at wand point.

"You were Invisible, but I could smell your sweet smell and hear your Steps. If I wanted, you would have been dead."

"Then why did you wait?" frowned Jakob as he stood up with the help of Bella's outstretched hand.

The crazy woman turned around, took his arm and laid them around her making them stand in the same position as when he thought he had won.

"Because then I would have felt your touch, and having a knife against my throat only spices things up," purred Bella and pressed her ass against him.

"You owe me a reward, you know." said the professor as Jakob tried his best not to get hard in this weird moment.

"I did not agree to that. You said it."

Bella pouted at the answer given to her and then turned, pushed him down on the floor and straddled him.

Jakob, surprised at first, felt himself grow as she sat down on him in the right spot.

"Oh? I think you enjoy this new little body of mine?" she whispered, leaning in and taking a lick on his throat, saving the taste.

"If someone walks in, you will be in trouble," said Jakob feeling the woman pressing against him and closing her eyes for a few seconds.

"Don't you want little Bella to take care of you?"

Jakob looked at the situation. He was on the floor with a professor on top of him. This was every guy's wet dream, and he turned to look into the eyes of the blonde.

"Bella, it's a bit weird having this blonde woman on top of me," The woman looked surprised at him before giving him a warm smile.

She leaned down and kissed him on the forehead.

"Then, next time you see me like this, I will be me."

Jakob honestly did not know how to answer that and nodded in response.

She pressed one more time before she got off and lay on his arm, almost like pansy used to do.

"So, did I pass the test?" he asked, looking at the blonde professor who had closed her eyes and starting to smell his hair and neck.

"You did, little lamb, but this only means that I expect better of you next week."

Jakob nodded.

"I understand."

When he finished his training, he received a new book with new spells and strategies he was to perfect and walked down to the common room.

There was hardly anyone out, and he didn't see Pansy or the others, so he assumed it was probably a good idea to get some rest.

But when he opened his door and was met by Pansy, who stood and stared at him. Already in her nightgown.

He looked confused at the girl, who seemed to wait for something while he closed the door.

When she heard the click, she jumped, and Jakob, surprised, still managed to catch the lightweight girl as she started to furiously kiss him.

"Pansy… what.." He tried to ask her what was happening but realised that it didn't matter and instead responded to her kisses, got a firmer grip on her thighs, and walked towards their bed.

The next morning Jakob woke up and turned his head towards the sleeping girl beside him. A slight redness around her lips was visible, and he smiled as memories of the night before resurfaced. He got up from bed carefully and headed out for his morning training.

He took his warmup jog through the castle, continued out through the castle entrance and frowned when he saw who was standing at the lake, waiting for him.

As he jogged up to Tonks, he slowed down and opened his mouth as if to speak. She was also dressed in training shorts and a t-shirt. She was jumping from one leg to the other, waiting for him to catch up. As he almost came down to a walk, tonks stopped jumping and waited for what Jakob had to say. The Slytherin boy turned his head away from her and continued running, and the Auror looked confused at first before she realised that he had just messed with her.

"Oh, you little shit." chuckled Tonks annoyed and started running after him.

The Slytherin boy looked back to see that she was following him and rolled his eyes, picking up the phase.

"Are you that stupid that you can't see that I want to run alone?" yelled the annoyed Quade heir when he noticed that she was closing in.

The now red-haired woman was fueled by his demeaning comment and ran beside him.

"You think you are Mr king of the world. I'm here to bring you down a peg or two."

Jakob continued his run, trying to ignore the declaration and continued in silence. When he had passed the halfway checkpoint, he smiled as he had a new best score and took a break, slowing down into a walk and taking deep breaths.

"Are you already tired? Maybe you should train a little harder. Then you might become as good as me one day, but I doubt it."

Gloated Tonks as she jogged circles around him.

He gave her an unamused glance and continued to ignore the woman's taunting. Tonks soon stopped her remarks when she saw that it didn't bite on the boy and continued jogging forward and turned back.

"Are you coming or what?"

Jakob laughed.

"that brings back memories", he continued with a dreamy look on his face. Nymphadora halted and gave the boy a death glare.

"I'm coming soon. When are you coming?" asked Jakob with a smirk as he switched into a light jog.

Tonks did not respond and instead took out her wand.

Jakob stopped in front of her and flicked out his too.

"The one who attacks first will be in a lot of trouble. You realise that, don't you?"

Tonks glared as she put down her wand and turned around. Knowing that the cunning boy was right.

The boy in question enjoyed the reaction he got and wanted to see if he could make her tip over.

"Speaking of punishments, you didn't have to smother that poor boy between your legs. Did you kill him?" He saw Tonks's hand shaking in rage as her breathing became heavier, and he revelled in it. Just a gentle push, he thought before uttering the next sentence with the trump card he was holding. Her first name.

"Was he a dark wizard? Do you kill dark wizards like that, Nymphadora?"

Tonks Roared as she swung around with her wand pointing right at the boy, who switched from a smirk to a satisfied smile.

"Shut up! Stupefy!" Jakob sidestepped the spell with ease and sent out a stunner of his own while he transformed the ground under the woman trapping her in place.

The Auror looked impressed and leaned backwards, letting the spell fly passed her while she pointed her wand towards the bindings on her foot.

Standing straight again, she noticed that the Slytherin boy was gone.

"You think I don't know how to make you visible?" questioned the woman wearing a sneer and waving her wand in a circle as she looked around.

Suddenly she felt something hit her back, and the Auror fell forwards. Hitting the ground.

Jakob, who had become visible again, looked momentarily stunned at his perfect hit joy coursed through him. He had actually done it. Tonks got up and turned towards him with an equally stunned expression. If Moody had seen her now...

"Be happy that it was a stinging hex. Now admit you got beaten by the third-year King of the world," smirked Jakob as he still held his raised wand towards her.

Tonks glared at him and sent out three spells almost as quickly as Bella. Jakob rolled and turned, but she had been too quick. He got hit on his right shoulder by the third red bolt of light, and painful boils started to appear.

Tonks walked over to him with a satisfied grin. She stood over him, pointing her wand at the boy who held his shoulder in pain, and tears started forming in his eyes. Tonks grinned, faulted as she noticed that Jakob looked at her in fear, and a lone tear ran down his cheek. The older woman sighed. Good job, Auror Tonks. Scaring third years now.

"You should learn that you aren't a match for me, But I'm sorry, alright?" Tonks, pocketing her wand and stretching out her hand for Jakob to take.

Jakob grabbed it, and a smirk appeared, which made the Auror frown in confusion.

"don't presume you won. That only makes it so much easier for me to win." Tonks's eyes widened as she saw his wand quickly pointing a few centimetres from her forehead, the tip glowing red.

"Stupidity."

The red jet hit between the eyes, making her head snap back at the impact. Her eyes rolled back as she fell forward right on top of himself, Making the boy lose his breath for a moment.

" Shit, she is so much heavy than I thought." He used both hands to push her off him, and she fell beside him. Jakob Grinned in victory as he lay there beside the stunned Auror.

" Attacking an Auror would be a minimum of 3 years in Azkaban heir Quade."

Jakob turned and saw Dumbledore walking over to him wearing a smile and the ever-annoying glint in his eyes.

" Headmaster. I wasn't the one starting it. I only protected myself."

Dumbledore, who had now walked up to the unconscious girl, gave Jakob a raised eyebrow.

" I admit that you are very cunning, Heir Quade. Using your own emotions to win the upper hand and waiting for the right chance to strike. Very impressive."

The headmaster waved his wand, and Nymphadora opened her eyes. Standing up, she saw that Dumbledor was giving her a stern look which made her feel a new wave of shame about losing her temper.

Then she saw the smirk on Jakob's face. She wanted to punch that face so badly. Tonks chose instead to turn back to her light leader and bowed before turning and walking back into the castle.

" When Auror Tonks have calmed down, we will set up a meeting to resolve what happened between you two. But right now, Heir Quade, I wish to have a moment of your time if that is alright?"

Jakob shrugged.

" Sure, headmaster, but I would like to be able to take a shower before breakfast, so it will have to be quick if you don't wish to reschedule?" Tried Quade heir knowing that Dumbledore was prepared for this talk, and he was not.

The older man chuckled and started to walk with Jakob beside him.

" Mr Quade, you have surprised me over these three years. You are not like everyone else."

The Slytherin gave him a nod in thanks but had his mind working in overdrive.

" You are still young but do you have any plans for the future?"

Jakob thought for a moment.

" I'm a Quade. I will probably take over the house and business from my father." answered the Slytherin, wanting to see where the headmaster was going with this conversation.

" Ah. And is that something you enjoy doing heir Quade?"

" I can't answer that as I have never tried it out. But I suppose. Why?"

Dumbledore continued to walk forwards, enjoying the scenery and having a calm expression on his face. The Slytherin was on his guard, not letting any important pieces of information go until he knew what the headmaster's endgame was. It seemed like Albus was waiting for him to say something, but when Jakob held his tongue, he heard the older man sigh.

" I see a conflict inside you. You are still so young that you can choose a path that does not lead to a dark future, and I want to offer a way for you."

Jakob frowned and stopped.

" What do you mean?"

Dumbledore also stopped and looked back at the Slytherin boy, hoping this card could provide some usefulness.

" I have a proposition for you. You have some friends in the light they have invited you to spend the holidays with them. If you would like to have more time with miss Granger and possibly miss Potter, I could pull a few strings to see that no one knew of this except those who are involved, of course."

So this is his plan. He wants me to join their faction and turn against my own. Thought Jakob and opened his mouth.

" I know you know about my friendship with Miss Granger, but why did you bring up Miss Potter?" He gave Dumbledore a slightly suspicious glance, but Dumbledore gave him a warm smile in return.

" I did not, heir Quade. I just assumed that Miss Granger had introduced you to each other. Is my assumption false about thinking that you were close to each other?"

Jakob's jaw tensed. That old bastard knew about them. He could not determine how much, but the forming of the question, asking if they were close and observing his answer, meant that he was watching if Jakob had the nerve to lie to him.

If Jakob lied now, Dumbledore would know that he probably had lied about other things before. If he lied now, the trust he had slowly worked up would crumble in seconds. But why was the old man so forward with this? What did the old man know that Jakob didn't.

"We have a short history. Ivy has helped me, and I have returned the favour. But I would not call us friends."

"But close enough to call her by her first name, I hear. How long do you think the friendship between you and the two Gryffindors might hold if it continues like this, Heir Quade? I can only show you the right path. You decide if Hermione and Ivy are worth it."

Jakob gave him a tense smile.

"I appreciate the invitation and the advice, but my father has prepared something for the holidays I'm afraid. Maybe another time, headmaster."

He gave a short bow towards the headmaster and turned towards the castle. Walking away before his rage would be evident in his eyes.

" Yes. Next time Mr Quade," said Dumbledore with a glint in his eye.

The days passed, and Tonks had made a promise never to raise her wand at Jakob again and be in his debt for not making any charges. Jakob would have done more if it wasn't for the twinkle in Dumbledore's eyes and the approving glance in Sirius. He hated that he had to fake his true self in front of them but showing it now would be too soon and the consequences too severe. Nymphadora had nodded and looked relieved at the heir Quade's mild punishment, which made Jakob even more annoyed. Still, he held his emotions like a good little Slytherin.

Soon Thursday arrived. With heavy steps, the Slytherin boy walked up the stairs and entered his own classroom that hadn't been used since last year. He sat behind his desk and waited for the redhead to arrive. When ten minutes went by, not seeing that irritated girl, he frowned. Is she late? Why would she be late? Something wasn't right here.

He stood up and went over to the window, looking out to see if he could find something interesting to pass his time.

He darted over to see Hagrid's hut and saw the smoke, indicating that the giant was home. I should probably visit him soon. Maybe he could give me some information about what Dumbledore is up to. Thought Jakob and turned his eyes towards the Quidditch pitch, seeing some dark Siluetts of people flying.

Then Jakob looked towards the Forbidden forest and saw something that made him squint his eyes.

" That couldn't be…. Is she serious!?" Yelled Jakob as he turned and stormed out of his classroom.

He quickly walked down the stairs trying his best to have his anger under control. Students and painting watched the usual calm boy in surprise as they passed him, not daring to even say hello to him.

When he entered the common room, Jakob ignored the calls that came from his friends and almost broke his dorm room door as he slammed it shut.

"You set up this shit meeting and then go out on a little adventure, making me wait like a fool. I will show you," muttered Jakob as he grabbed his broom and opened his window, kicking of harder than necessary.

A black dot could be seen flying out through a window above the dark lake and headed straight for the forest.

When he arrived, he jumped off his broom and threw it on the ground in mid-walk as he entered the forbidden forest. As he walked deeper inside, his rage subsided to a point where he could think more logically, and he whispered in confusion.

" Why did she even enter the forest alone? There are Dementors here and.." Jakob stopped for a moment and understood what he just had said.

" Shit." The Slytherin bolted and ran as fast as he could, feeling twigs cutting his cheek, but he did care right now. His breath had become so cold that it had turned into vapour, and he could feel the leaves and three parts crunch under his feet as they froze on the forest floor.

He pushed his running to the limit and jumped over a large bush. And suddenly, he stood in a small circular clearing. In the middle of the clearing, he could see Ivy hitting the ground as one dementor flew up, joining two others that were flying in circles around her like birds who waited for a battle to end so they could feast on the corpses.

When the dementor joined the other two in the circle, another swooped toward the girl with its rotten long fingers outstretched.

Jakob ran out and hurried towards her, closing his hand into a fist on instinct, not even thinking about flicking out his wand.

" Stop!" shouted Jakob and shot his darkness towards the dementor, who got hit and rolled back in the air just a few meters above the girl.

The other two who had been circling above halted and turned their hodded heads down at the boy who had succeeded in harming one of their own.

Jakob had reached Ivy's body with heavy breath and looked alarmed at the dementor. It had stabilised itself midair and turned towards Jakob, slowly gliding towards him. It seemed to grow bigger as it neared the Slytherin, and Jakob felt a shiver down his spine. Something inside him screamed for him to run.

When it was close than the Slytherin boy was comfortable with, he raised his hand up, palm facing the dementor.

"That's close enough." Said Jakob with a firm voice, and his darkness manifested around his hand, waiting for his order to attack.

Almost at the same time, they sized each other up. Deciding who was the prey, the dementor turned its head upwards, seeing the other two who looked down on them expectantly.

" I don't know if you can understand me, but I get it. I made you look weak in Infront of your… friends. You have my apologies, but you can't have her. She is mine."

The large dementor made a sound that resembled a growl and swiped its arm towards Jakob's face. Jakob dodged and closer his right fist. On the way up, he roared as he swung it and could feel the cold as it made contact. a crunching sound could be heard. The black entity flew back, landing and rolling on the ground a few meters further away. Jake looked down at his closed fist and saw a black fluid on his knuckles that had stricken it. He looked up again and saw the Dementor rise with the aid of its arms. It turned its uncovered head towards the boy, and Jakob could see a jack on the left side of its face. The black blood was dripping on the ground below, killing everything it came into contact with. It was gritting its teeth and now sounded more like it growled than before.

" I have never heard about a dementor dying before. But try that again, and I will write you into history books myself, you fuck." growled Jakob as he took a threatening step forward.

The dementor looked up, and a scream could be heard, but the other two dementors didn't respond or move. They were still observing the scene down below.

Jakob, who had also looked up, smirked back at the dementor.

" They won't help you. Are you prepared to die tonight, or do you run and live?"

The dementor dug its hands into the ground and threw itself towards Jakob, letting out a high-pitched scream as it raised its hand towards him.

The Slytherin, surprised by the speed and scream, sidestepped the soaring cloak of death and raised his hand. Aiming and darkness shot out, missing the dementor's head as it turned for a second attempt. It closed the distance between them and swiped its hand towards Jakob, who took a step back and swung his fist in response.

The unhooded creature caught it with his own hand closing its fingers around his fist, and then faster than Jakob could even react, it had its other hand around his throat. He could almost see a grin on the mouth of the dementor before it changed to a circular shape as it inhaled.
