Scully's phone rang making her think back to the many countless times she
looked down at her ringing cell phone to see "Mulder" lit up by neon green.
She missed him and always thought of him while he was away. He was never
TRULY away though. He would always sneak home when he thought she wasasleep... but she never was... not really.

As Mulder walked briskly down the street his mind was flooded with thoughts of Scully. He remembered, for the millionth time, the first time he ever saw her radiant smile. That smile lit up his world and he fell for her
instantly.

Scully thought back to one time in particular that he called her from a bar
and couldn't even remember which one it was. When she got there he was
sitting with his head on a table and he was drooling on himself. She took
him home and laid him on the couch. However, when she went to walk away, he called her back. She turned around to see that he had made room for her on the couch and refused to sleep without her.

I'd let it all come down and then some for you
Mulder knew that going and visiting her even as often as he did was
dangerous. But truth be told he didn't care if they did find him and kill
him, as long as he got to see her.

Scully heard the door open but couldn't bring herself to open her eyes and
great him. She did however curl her lips up to form a smile, a smile that
only came to her face with his presence.

Mulder saw Scully shiver a little in the cold of the night. He walked over
to the bed and lay next to her. He rapped his arms around her in an attempt
to keep her warm. He felt as if his mental clouds instantly cleared away
from his brain and he was completely content.

Scully knew that as long as she had these meetings to look forward to she
wouldn't completely self destruct.
I know that things can't last forever
But there are lessons that never learn
Mulder new he would have to leave her eventually, but just the though made
him want to break down right then and there.

So how is it you that makes me better
The scent of Mulder was strong in her scenes and it made her heart cry for
she knew he would soon be leaving.

Our souls always together
Mulder absent mindedly rubbed at the small of Scully's back and a stray
tear escaped his eye as he got up to leave.

Scully stiffened up as Mulder left the bed making the room cold again.
When you touch me
It is me that you own
Mulder went around to the other side of the bed, kissed her gently on the
lips, and whispered his good bye.
"Until next time pretty baby..."
