Tragic poem. If you were faced with eternal torture or death for you and your friends, which would you choose? Starfire has to answer that question.

Standing here, my soul stripped bare.
Knowing your gods do not care.
Watching the demon smile as my despair boils.
As I released Robin from this mortal coil.
Mocking laughter echos above the clouds...
As the snarling voice says aloud..
That I saved him from a crueler fate.
And that I now have a deadly date...
With my unforgiving destiny.
As much as I hate to see.
Bittersweet tears mixed with rain..
Cascade down my face again.
Feeling the knife in my grip.
Knowing I need only slip..
Its blade across my tender flesh.
Leaving one titan less..
For the demon to kill.
If only I had the will.
But as I stand here in the mud..
Wrists spilling forth my precious blood.
I feel that perhaps Robin will forgive...
But I cannot forgive my sin,and thus refuse to live.
I am sure that I will go to Hell.
A place that Trigon knows quite well.

Yes, this is Starfire as she kills her friends and herself to keep from being Trigon's slaves.
But did she really save them or send them to a more unforgiving fate? Who knows. As usual if you read, please review as well. I love people's thoughts.
