Chapter 1: Mystifying Eyes
"Dad, I'm going to Diagon Alley for my new glasses" Hermione, a seventeen-year-old teenager called from the kitchen.
"Alright, honey, be back before supper time" George Granger called from upstairs. Hermione grabbed a red juicy apple, ate it quickly, and went over to the fireplace and called out, "Diagon Alley"
She almost tripped when she reached Diagon Alley, and caught onto a rail before falling. She wiped off a bit of dust and walked down the lane, passing hundreds of fellow witches and wizards and walked into the last shop: "Mystifying Eyes"
"Hermione, how are you, dear?" An elderly woman, named Madam Sukoni welcomed when Hermione went inside.
"Very well, thank you" Hermione answered politely, and put her cloak on the hanger and walked to the front desk.
"Doctor Zlasher will be with you very--- she never got to finish her sentence because a young looking handsome man came out of the office, wearing a white long cloak and blue glasses.
"Hermione, how very good to see you!" the doctor greeted, and asked if she would like any hard candy, which she declined nicely.
"Step into my office, I have your glasses right on my desk!" He exclaimed, slightly pushing her into the office, and she quickly looked at her new glasses as the doctor shut the door quietly.
"Sit down, sit down! I have a story to tell you!" He said eagerly as he pulled up a wooden chair on the other side of the desk. He motioned her to sit down, which she did after a moment, or so.
He sat down on his big, comfortable chair, looked at her, and began: "I remember the person who wore these glasses a few decades ago: Harley Filiggan. The boy, oh poor boy, he was murdered from "he who must not be named", since he would not join his forces. The boy was merely 18!" He paused, popped a cinnamon candy in his mouth, and started again: "I once was going to give these glasses to a younger boy, but when he put them on, he fainted, so I thought there was some kind of evil inside of them. Well, if you are willing to take the risk, may you please put them on?" He questioned, looking curious.
"Erm... Ok..." Hermione said, looking nervously at the pair of glasses, waiting to be warned. She slowly got up, retrieved the glasses, and took a moment or two before putting them on.
When she put them on, she felt a sort of power surge over her like a plug filled with electricity. She looked at the Doctor, and could see him, and his bones.
Startled, she took them off with wide eyes, and the Doctor asked excided, "What did you see?"
"The glasses are defiantly peculiar, but I can understand why the younger boy fainted. When you put on the glasses, you could see the person of one, and the bones" Hermione answered, feeling slightly scared.
He stared bewildered at the glasses, and said, "Run along, now, I have another customer coming in. Come again!" He said, and Hermione ran out of the store, feeling very very petrified.
So how was it? I dunno, I just got this idea in my head and decided to make a story out of it. Please review!!!
