Chapter 3

Cam turned around to the direction of the voice. It was the girl from before. Cam stood in surprise.
"Wha-What?" He asked. The girl leaned against the counter. "Come on...this is a party! You have to do much better than a glass of water," she said. Cam smiled, "Like what?" The girl stood up and smiled.
"Hey Randy! Change on the water. Two Shirley Temples...extra cherry for the gentleman."
The Bartender handed her the drinks and handed Cam his drink. Cam just kept staring at her.
"Thanks um..."
"It's Jamie. And it is the least I could do. I really can't thank you enough for helping me out over there."
"Jamie, I'm Cameron...but people call me Cam. It really wasn't a problem...I just was there."
Jamie smiled, "Yeah, I know what you mean...well hey have fun at the party. Maybe I'll catch a dance with you later or something. I'll be seeing ya." She began to walk away.
"Hey thanks for the drink!"
Jamie turned around, "Don't mention it." And she continued on her way.
Just as Jamie left, Dustin came right behind Cam.
"Boo!" Dustin said.
"Do you want to scare me some more?" Cam said almost spilling the drink Jamie gave him.
"So who's the chick?"
"Her name is Jamie, really nice," Cam smiled. Dustin looked up. "Jamie...Jamie...OH! Jamie Monalo!!!"
"Okay Dustin," Cam said, giving him a weird look.
"Yeah, she's pretty cool... she comes to Storm Chargers once in a while... Her boyfriend is whacked out but worry I heard they broke up and she's in the clear so you're good."
"Dustin...what makes you think I want to go out with her?" Dustin looked at him and laughed. "Dude, you have the same look as you did when you rode motocross for the time...you are SMILING!"
Cam and Dustin met up with the rest of the guys. Blake and Tori were getting busy on the dance floor. When the both of them came, they all sat together and talked about the girl Cam just met.
"Hey, why don't you ask her to dance?" Blake said.
"Blake, you know I can't dance for my life!" Cam said.
"Anyone could dance! Just think of it as ninja fighting with rhythm," Hunter said giving Cam a nudge toward the direction of Jamie.
When Cam reached Jamie, her friends urged her to look around. Jamie smiled. Her friends smiled at Cam and left.
"Hey Jamie," Cam said.
"Hey Cam."
Cam scratched his head and looked down because he was both nervous and embarrassed. "Um, would you like to dance?"
"Sure," Jamie said putting her drink down. They both went to the dance floor. The blasting hip-hop music went immediately to slow music. Cam began to panic and Jamie noticed.
"It's okay," she said putting her arms around his neck.
"Hehe...um..." Cam stuttered finally putting his hands on her waist.
After a few seconds into the song, Cam finally broke the silence.
"So what was that all about earlier...with the guy?"
"Oh," Jamie sighed, "Well that's my ex-boyfriend. He isn't really taking the break up all that well. He has this thing on making things go his way."
"Oh I see," Cam said as they continued to dance.
From a distance, the five looked at Cam and Jamie on the dance floor.
"WooHoo! Cam got himself a leading lady!" Dustin shouted out
"They look so cute together...They're hooking up...DEFINITELY!" Tori said.
"Yeah...but they'll never beat us..." Blake said putting his arm around Tori as she smiled.
On the other side of the house were Jon and his friends. They too were looking at Jamie and Cam.
"Yo Jon, you gotta show him that he can't steal your girl like that. Look at him! He is sweepin her from under your nose!" Bri said.
"Yo, chill man! I'll show him!"
Just as the music ended, Cam and Jamie separated from each as Jon came right to them.
"You and me....outside....now!" Jon said to Cam with anger in his eyes and left.
