A/N: A little piece that just came into my head. Ok one line did and as
always I write just what ever spontaneously comes into my head. Oneshot but

She stumbles over the ash ridden ground. Bodies littered the ones prominent street. The ruined shops lining the street looming over the battle scene.
She collapses next to the body lying in the middle of the street. His wounds bleeding heavily onto the dusty street floor.
The figure stirs at her touch. She bends over, tears in her warm, turquoise eyes
The figure rolls over to face her. He is barely breathing. His breath comes in sharp, ragged gasps.
I lay my hand on his bloodied chest and mutter a healing charm. The wound slowly closes up but his breathing is still irregular. His eyes crack open.
Twin emeralds stare up at her. The eyes that once help the merriment of youth were blank and emotionless. The young child brutally slaughtered by the sights of war
"I know your face" The figure mutters weakly
Her face breaks into a small smile as she caresses his bloodied face
"You will be ok. I've come to save you. The healers are coming."
He laughs. Not the merry laughter of a young man, but the bitter laughter of someone resigned to their face.
"You already have"
Tears pour from her eyes as she holds his head in her hands
"My vision grows dark, the world is blurred, and my time is ending. I must depart"
"No" A hand reaches up and brushes her tears away. The hand slowly caresses her tender flesh.
"You are young, go on with your life. It is not you time. Do not grieve. For it was meant to be"
Footsteps are heard. She turns around to see a figure rushing towards her. Her robes billowing behind her.
"Hang on dad, don't give up. Their coming."
He did not reply The figures grew closer. She could her the healers shouting. "Don't give up dad."
"Tell her. I love her"
She couldn't take in any more. She collapsed next to her father form Sobs wracked her body.
"Tell your mother. I never stopped loving her. It was a lie. Tell her I love her."
She lifted her tear stained face to see his hand clenching her arm. His eyes wide.
"Tell her"
His grip slowly loosened. His eyes became blank and his head hit the hard stone.
The healers gathered round. Levitating the body onto a stretcher.
She felt a hand land on her shoulder.
Emily Harriet Potter looked up at the blue eyes of her mother. Eyes that once had sparkled with warmth but no only held sorrow and pain.
"Neither did I. Neither did I"
