Salem was reading amystery novel when she was called down to the living room. " Be there in a min," she said. ' I wonder what I've done this time,' salem thought as she made her way down the stairs to the living room. As soon as she entered the room she knew it was going to be serious, just from the look on her foster-parents faces. "Salem have a seat," said Robert, her foster-father, pointing to a chair. Sitting down, Salem looked at her foster-mother, Jessica, and saw that she was holding a letter. The letter its self was yellowish with plum-purple ink writing on the front. "It's for you..." said Jessica as she handed it to Salem, "we'll explain when you're finished reading it." Salem took the letter and looked at the address, it made no sense but yet it di, it read:

The Attic Room, Manor House 2
Red Barn, Sandy Islands
She turned it over and opened the letter. Inside the letter she read:
-Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry-
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
( Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc. , Chf. Warlock,
Supreme Mugwump, International Confed of Wizards)
Dear Ms. Harris,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

Questions flew through Salem's mind and she said the fisrt one that stayed put.
" I'M A WITCH!?!" , Salem screamed, " I knew I was different but a witch!" Salem continued to sit there until she became very calm. 'What the hell this has got to be a trick, anything, I'll even go for Barney, the American kid show that I despise!' "Okay..." Salem said hesitantly, she continued, "please explain to me what's going on." "Maybe this will explain better than we can," said Robert, shoving another letter into her hands. She scanned the paper with her jade-green eyes, then slowly read it out loud:
Dear Salem,
If you are reading this it means that you now know you are a witch and you are in need of some answers. 1- Your mother anf father died when a powerful dark wizard killed them. 2- You have an older brother that is still alive and is now going to Hogwarts, only he started last year. His name is Harry Potter, when you get to the wizarding world I want you to keep an eye out for him. No one is allowed to know that Harry has a sister! You will be able to tell him once you are both graduated from Hogwarts. I wish you the bst of luck at Hogwarts!
