A/N: As usual, I do not own CSI. I am extremely upset over the firing of
George Eads and Jorja Fox. I protest and I encourage you to protest as
well. Anyway, this is just a little Nick/Sara fluff.
"Happy Birthday Nicky." Grissom handed him a chemistry set made for ten-year-olds, reminding him of the time they'd both bought Catherine's daughter a chem lab for her birthday. Nick finished unwrapping the rest of his presents. From Cath there had been a batch of brownies that she and Lindsay had made together, Warrick had given him prime seats to the next fight at the Tangiers, Greg had given him a Nirvana CD, Doc Robbins had given him a nice card, and Sara had given him a Sam and Dave CD.
(A/N: I'm going to interrupt right here to state the obvious. I do not own Nirvana or Sam and Dave)
Sara. To many others, she was average. To Nick, she was the most beautiful woman on Earth. "Alright, shift is over." Grissom waved them out. "Have fun Nicky."
Nick nodded. He knew he'd have fun. It was his birthday, after all. "Later guys."
"Later." Everybody called back. Nick sauntered into the locker room and opened up his locker. It had been a good birthday. Brownies from Cath and Lindsay, some new CDs, a chem set from Grissom, and tickets to the next fight at the Tangiers. As he reached in to grab his coat, out fell a jewel case with a CD inside. "What's this?" Nick picked up the CD. "Huh." He changed quickly and out of curiosity grabbed the CD. He'd listen to it in his Denali. Nick slipped the CD into the stereo system and waited as it read the burned CD. Suddenly the Village People blared out of the speakers. Nick laughed. The song was Macho Man. He flipped through the rest of the songs. Most of the songs he didn't recognize, but a few of them he did. He knew Macho Man, Deep in the Heart of Texas, and My Girl. Nick shook his head and maneuvered his Denali into the parking spot next to Sara's Denali. He entered his house and flicked on the lights. "Happy birthday." Sara popped out from behind the couch, wearing a very lacy little gown that she knew Nick would love. "Hey baby." She wrapped her arms around Nick. Sara loved his arms, she'd told him on more than one occasion how much she loved his strong arms wrapped around her, how safe she felt in his arms. Hours later, after Sara was asleep, Nick figured out who the CD had come from. Sara was teasing him. He'd just have to think of an appropriate gift for her birthday.
A/N: Alright, it was a shorty. I know. I might write a sequel about Sara's Birthday. Read and Review. Let me know if I should write a sequel.
