Paranoia
They are watching.
He cowered under the low shrubs as he heard a car passed by. He knew that he shouldn't be here. But nothing can take him away.
He can't stay away.
Even though they are watching.
He continued to watch her through a thick curtain of leaves. He was mesmerized at the way she tucked a stray piece of her brilliant red hair under her ears. He can hear her humming a familiar song as she carefully lifted the car seat from the back of her car.
He watched through his tears as she and the infant went inside the building, grateful for the fact that they are still safe.
"It's time to go," he thought as he discreetly stood up from his hiding place. Tomorrow he would be back but she will never know, she will believe that he is miles and miles away from here. He glanced back sadly before walking slowly away.

Dana Scully stood partially hidden by the sheer window curtains as she watched a man stood from the bushes. She longed to run to him, to feel his arms around her, to kiss his tear stained cheeks.
But she let him leave, for his safety and her son's as well.
All because she knew,
They are watching.
