He'd been gone for almost a year, but Sam Carter still missed him. She sat in his old house, which was her's now, rocking their two-year old baby to sleep. Singing a soft song to calm her baby girl her eyes drifted to an old photo. It was from when Sam was in the hosipital, she was holding Emily, and Jack had his arms around both of them. They looked so happy. Sam looked down at the two-year old who was now sleeping. Her song changed to the one that she had written right after Jack had died.
When I think back on these times,

She started to drift into a light sleep, still aware of the sleeping toddler in her arms. She could almost feel Jack's arms around them as she saw his face in her thoughts.

She woke her self to put Emily in her bed. She smiled thinking how much she looked like her father. Sam already told her stories of Jack every night, now that the StarGate was public it didn't matter if Emily repeted anything Sam told her. She could only pray that neather of them would ever forget Jack, he died saving the world and his Daughter would know that. Sam had never known love until she met Jack, and she would never forget.
