Airi was standing on top of a thick branch and facing outwards towards the locations where the Swamp Lands are. She felt the disturbance and the missing power of the Swamp Witch, which surprises her when someone actually slain her in battle.

"No. I know my father is busy working and mother said she's going to keep him company."

"She has brought so much pain in this world." Annelotte replies "But now she's destroyed, and my mother could finally be free. I always wondered about my parents, and now I found out my mother was only trying to protect me from her."
"So what will you do now?" Leina asks her
"I wish to return to the capital. My watch over those lands are behind me. And, I've discovered I'm not alone."
"What do you mean?"
"The Swamp Witch told me something." Annelotte smiles a little when saying this "I actually have a sister. She's out there in the capital. I want to see her."
"Do you believe her?" Leina asks
"She said she plan to search for my sister when our job against the other warriors are done. She wanted us both together to help her achieve her goals."
"Then we'll help you. We're all going to the capital together, right?"
"Yes."
"But first things first. I know a place where we could repair our armour and weapons. I just hope they're still there."

When the sun rises, Rana wakes up to find himself in his bed with his clothes still on. He fails to remember what happen last night with Airi, but memories would return to him the moment he sees her again for breakfast. He came out of his room to find Airi in the kitchen with Cattleya, both making breakfast for everyone, so he comes to sit down next to Owen and remain watching them.
After breakfast and a short relaxation, Cattleya remain by the counter to open the shop, while Owen proceeds to finish where he left off by finishing off the last designs of the swords, and Rana use this time to go outside with Airi.
"You seem well energised today." Airi replies
"I had a good night's rest. What about you?"
"Me?"
"You brought me to bed, didn't you?"
". . . ." Airi keeps her face forward and remain silent through this walk.
"I'm not mad at you, Airi. And you can never hurt me." Rana replies and moves his right hand to hold against her left hand.
Airi looks down at his hand with sadden expression and replies "We shouldn't be doing this to you…."
"I know." Rana holds her hand tighter and replies with a smile towards her "But you're the only one I want."
". . . ." Airi looks away and sighs, while also blushing from that affection. She would soon stop and turn her attention towards the three new visitors coming to town. Leina, Annelotte and Fenrir arrive.
The moment they see each other, Fenrir stops first when recognising Airi and her scent. Both Annelotte and Leina stops to look back at him, while he remain staring towards Airi with a serious look on his face.
"Her…." Fenrir mutters when continuing to stare out towards Airi. He remembers a flashback of the time when Airi, Menace and Melona standing together for the first time towards the Swamp Witch. This was the time when the Swamp Witch chose them to be her servants and spies for the Queen's Blade.
And so without any hesitation, Fenrir pulls Leina's sword out of her sheath and straight up charges towards her with the urge to kill. Airi quickly summons her scythe to defend herself, but Rana steps in front of her and blocks the attack with the base of his spear. After blocking the attack, Fenrir keeps one hand to the handle and uses his left hand to land a hard blow against Rana's chest to bring him down to his knees. Airi comes in with a swing of her scythe the moment Rana drops to the ground and swings horizontally through the air over Rana's head to surprise Fenrir and force him back. Rana looks up at Fenrir, and while feeling the pain from his punch, he still interferes by lifting his spear up to punch the end of it through Fenrir's chest. Angered and pain over the pain from that spear, Fenrir got angrier and was very close of transforming into a werewolf in front of everyone.
"Wait! Everyone, stop!" Leina calls out and rushes over to stop them.
Airi helps Rana back up and takes a couple of steps away from them the moment they came back together. Airi asks Rana "You alright?"
"Yeah…"
Leina stands next to Fenrir and looks over at the injury he took to the chest. "You're hurt…"
Fenrir just growls and remain staring towards Airi. Leina would have to stand in front of him to force him to stare at her, while Annelotte stands in front of the two to confront the situation.
"I know who you are." Annelotte replies "You're a servant of the Swamp Witch."
"It's not like that." Airi replies "And why isn't that man in chains? What's he doing here?"
"The Swamp Witch is dead."
". . . ." Airi was a little surprise, but she knew something was happening in the Swamp Lands and would believe she is telling the truth.
And so the fight did not continue after that, and everyone returns to the house to meet with Cattleya. Leina and Annelotte explain the situation to everyone at the front of the shop on what has been happening lately and help them understand how the Swamp Witch was slain.
"The King's Blade?!" Cattleya asks with astound to hear the name from Leina "It's real?"
"Yes."
"So the legend really is true." Owen replies "I've heard so many tales of that ancient blade and said to have been lost beyond this land. To think that someone has actually found the blade and mastered its power to defeat the Swamp Witch."
"He's on his way to the capital city. He'll be passing through the city of Amara."
"That's Menace's problem now." Airi replies and remain standing at a distance towards the others and keeping Rana beside her too.
Fenrir was sitting down and sighing over Leina tending to his wounds by bandages and water.
"Who is this man that carries the sword?" Owen asks
"We don't know much about him because I wanted to dismiss ourselves from his party. His name is Alaric."
"Probably one of those warrior tribes on the other continent."
Annelotte speaks to Cattleya "Would you mind assisting us in repairing our weapons and armour for our journey? We plan to move west."
"Of course." Cattleya responds "I'll be sure to repair them like they're brand new from the smith."
"Although…. We don't really have any money to pay for repairs…" Leina replies
"Nonsense! After everything you've done, think of this as a reward for actually defeating the Swamp Witch. Right, husband?"
"Of course. I still have work to do with the other projects, so you take care of this one for me."
"Well… We didn't really defeat her…" Leina mutters and looks back to Fenrir to remember he help sink his fangs into the Swamp Witch at the end of the battle.
And so for the time being, Cattleya got to work on repairing the armour and weapons for the two, then offers the three an empty room for beds to sleep in. Since they got nothing better to do, the three decide to do a few chores as compensation while they wait and have to stay here for a time. Rana would see this an opportunity to test his skills against other fighters in a match to see how well he goes against others. Cattleya would offer them a few swords from the armoury to assist them, but Fenrir decides not to get involve in the fight, and holds no grudge against the one that sent a spear through his gut.
Rana got a chance to fight Annelotte first, and while Annelotte struggles to fight back, due to the dark feeling that still resides within her, she still manage to block or avoid many swings from Rana. As soon as she fought back, she brought him down to the floor with only five moves and tells him that was an eighty. Saying that out of nowhere got her to blush a little when remembering her master was saying that to her. Her master trainer always kept a score when Annelotte trains with her, but has never reach the score of one hundred. After that, she takes her leave and let Leina take over to fight Rana. Leina fought much better than Annelotte, despite still thinking about the past when she once fought against her own friends and would try to spill their blood wherever they fought.
After the fight, Cattleya comes outside to interrupt this and invites everyone inside for some lunch. Afterwards, Leina and Annelotte decide to take an early rest, since the fighting and the travel here was tiresome, so the two plan to return to their rooms to rest. Fenrir would stay awake and decide to go outside away from everyone. This was also a chance for Airi to be alone with Rana again, so the two return outside and go somewhere further away from the house, while both Cattleya and Owen are busy with the work.
"Now that she's gone, you don't have to hide from her anymore." Rana says to Airi
"I was never really running away from her." Airi replies when looking down at the ground while they walk together "I just had to move from place to place to avoid any problems. I cause too much danger to anyone near me."
"You're not a danger to me." Rana replies and holds onto one of her hands. She blushes over his hand touching hers and causing the two to stop.
"Rana…." Airi looks back to him "It's even dangerous when I'm with you."
"But you keep coming back here to see me. You can't hide your feelings from me."
Airi turns away from Rana and let's go of his hand "I… I was only…." And then her maid outfit was beginning to fade away from the lack of absorbing any energy this long.
Rana got his face red at the sight of her in her underwear again, but he quickly got serious and walks up to Airi to wrap both his arms around her body "What I want is to be with you. You can never hurt me, Airi."
Airi keeps her head down to look at his arms, then touches both his arms and responds with a sadden look on her face "That's not fair… Why do you have to do this to me?"
"I guess you can say I was falling for you."
". . . ." Airi turns around to face Rana and press both her hands against his chest. He remain holding onto her and looks at her pressing her face against his chest. She responds "I need your energy."
"I know. Use only my energy."
"Hmmmmmm." Airi looks up to Rana, moved her arms around his neck and presses her lips against his. As they kiss, Airi starts taking more of his energy from him to restore her maid outfit and make herself whole again. She was actually enjoying this, while forgetting the risks of kissing Rana. As much as the two wish to stop right here, neither of them wish to let go of one another, and so they continue kissing for much longer than they usually do.

After that, Rana eventually returns to his room and collapses onto the bed. Airi watches him sleep, then decides to cuddle with him in bed for a time until the sun rises and quickly gets out of bed before anyone would see them together.
Leina and Annelotte got their armour and weapons fully complete by the two, and went outside together to clash swords against one another to see if they still got what it takes to fight. And so with the armour and weapons restore, the two thanks the two smiths of the work they put into repairing the equipment. The three are now ready to depart and travel west to the capital.
