Disclaimer: I don't own the characters; if I did I wouldn't be writing fanfiction.

AN: I know that I write some really short stories and this must be the shortest of all. It's a one shot and I like the idea; please just read and review.

My master is a hero. He is a steady backbone for others. He is empathetic for his friends and is brave around his enemies. How would I know you ask? I've seen it. I was there.

I saw his first year's courage the night You-Know-Who nearly nicked the Philosopher's Stone.

He had befriended an innocent victim of the Heir's wrath his second year.

Third year, a powerful spell learned from the only decent Defense Against the Dark Arts professor showed his power, potential, and worth.

I was there his fourth year as he clumsily asked his crush to the Yule Ball.

Fifth year, I am proud to say, he faced Death Eaters and horrors of all kinds.

Most people; however, know these stories about my brave Gryffindor master. But what people don't see are the love notes that are written and burned before they can be delivered. No one hears the stories, embarrassing moments and antics that happen to my master and his pals. I hear his thoughts and feelings about his friends and enemies.

I don't feel I am at liberty to tell you all of the thoughts of my master. I believe my master trusts me, and will say loyal to him. There is nothing you could do to make me change my mind and betray the one I love. He is a hero and I will never leave his side.

He is kind hearted, patient and caring. He doesn't have his parents with him for help and guidance. You can't imagine how hard it is to struggle through life, with out your parents, needing to live up to their past while dealing with some not so understanding relatives. My master doesn't blame them, one in particular, for wanting to forget.

Most pets have masters with the same complex nowadays. Poor humans with no parents dealing with friends, girls, the Dark Arts and trying to find themselves. What is the difference between my master and other humans? There was a prophecy about him. It was he and another. And although the prophecy didn't come to pass with his life he still supports the other through his struggles.

It is so easy to go on with your own life after something no longer deals with you. My master showed his courage and stayed along side a boy who received a title that could unfortunately have been his. My master is a hero named Neville Longbottom.
