Inuyasha sits on a large boulder

here i go again

slippin' further away

looking at the god tree where a shrine to the dead with ribbons blow in the wind

letting go again

of what keeps me in place

he looks at his own hands in horror. there are bloodstains on them.

i like it here

but it scares me to death

there is nothing here

he stands and jumps high into the sky, his bangs coming infront of his face to cover his eyes

hmm

hmm

Tears slip down his cheeks and flutter like stars in the wind as they catch the light from the sun

hmm

hmm

he lands on a cliff, overlooking the valley that contains the god tree, the village, and the well.

there is beautiful

but I'm darker than life

He pulls tetsuaiga out of it's sheath and looks at the chipped and worn blade.

and you are wonderful

but there's noone that's mine

Kagome's voice came through the wind.

"I will always love you Inuyasha, i always have. I won't leave you." her voice was soft and sad

all of this dust

all of this past

"but you did leave me, you left, and now i can't get you back." he whispered to the voice.

"I love you." her voice faded away.

all of this over and gone

and never coming back

Images of sango and shippou and miroku and Kirara came to him, they were running toward him, all smiling

as they got near enough to touch, they disappeared. fading away with the wind

all of this forgotten

not by me

Kikyou and Kagome were there then, and fighting each other with their holy arrows

"Please stop!" He screamed, they didn't hear him

i find comfort here

cause i know what is lost

they disappeared and were replaced with images of kagome smiling, and laughing.

Of her in his arms

hope is always fear

for the pain that may cost

"Inuyasha." Came Kagome's voice again.

and I have searched for

the reason to go on

i've tried and i've tried but it's

taking me so long

He flipped the sword and aimed it at himself

i might be better off

closin' my eyes

god will come lookin' for me

in the night

Suddenly a light hand laid on his arm.

all of this dust

all of this past

Suddenly she was there beside him

all of this over and gone

and never coming back

and all of a sudden, he could see her, holding her arms out to him.

all of this forgotten

not by me

not Kikyou who wanted him in hell with her, but Kagome

all of this dust

all of this past

I'm coming, Kagome..

all of this over and gone

and never coming back

He thrust the sword into his chest and out the other side.

all of this forgotten

not by me

He fell to the ground and lay staring up at the cherry blossom petals floating away in the wind.

I can see myself

i look peaceful and pale

He saw himself, lying in the knee high grass.

but underneath

I can barley inhale

His breath caught, and he suddenly couldn't breathe

i can hearmyself singin' that song

over and over

until it belongs

to me

But it didn't matter anymore.

hmmm

hmm

Kagome was here.

hmm

hmm

He whispered that he was sorry.

hmm

hmmm

And suddenly his head and shoulders were in her lap as she played with his ears

She told him it was fine.

hmm

hmm

And....

hmmm

hmmm

Inuyasha purred.

Okay, that was sad. The song is really cool, and it's on the Underworld cd.

The melody is as haunting as the story.

which says a lot.

i'm sleepy now...

Night.
