A/N: Since I was already fighting against my choice for this to be a one
shot I took my reviews very seriously. (Not that they don't always mean a
lot). I was on the verge of doing this anyway. So as requested.
"Thank you, Angel," She murmured, just loud enough for him to hear, before lacing her fingers into his hair and dragging him down to kiss her again. Of course there were no objections from him.
At least until he found his hand under the hem of Buffy's shirt. When he realized what was going on he drew back quickly.
"Buffy –"He started.
Buffy took a small step back and straightened the hem of her shirt, self- consciously.
"I know, we can't."
"I need to tell you something, something I found out. The curse?" Angel talked while staring at his shoes. They were brown, which at the moment seemed utterly fascinating.
"What? What about your curse?" Buffy asked urgently. She stepped back to him and put her hands on top of his, where they were fiddling with a small piece of paper.
"It was a one-time."
Angel's eyes were sincere but Buffy still had to ask, "You have to be joking, when did you find out? Why, Why didn't I know about it?"
She could feel his apprehension of giving the answer. Wild scenarios started flying around her mind of Angel going to the Powers That Be and fighting to get rid of the curse. Of course that was crazy.
"I...tested it. And I didn't revert to Angelus." Angel kept his eyes low as he spoke. He knew it would be hard for Buffy to accept, that he had been with someone else after her. Even though he knew perfectly well that she had been with other guys.
Buffy's mind stopped short and she just stared for a moment. "You, were tested it? As in slept with someone else?"
Angel nodded.
"I have to go." Buffy turned and sprinted quickly out of the chamber.
A/N: I don't actually remember much about the episode (bad self) but I think they were in an underground chamber-esque place. Can someone verify that for me?
