If you haven't played the game Final Fantasy VII you should read this. In
the game Final Fantasy VII an ex-soldier named Cloud goes to Midgar and
gets hired by a rebel group called AVALANCHE. During a mission Cloud falls
into a lower sector's church and meets a flower girl named Aeris. She
provides him with a bed for a night, before leading him and his friend Tifa
back to sector 7.
When they reach sector 7 they discover that it's under attack by Shinra employee's called the Turks. When Cloud, and Tifa reach the top tower in sector 7 they find out that Aeris was captured, and that in a matter of minutes the plate above sector 7 would fall and kills them all. Cloud, Tifa, and Barret are lucky enough to escape with their lives, and go off to rescue Aeris. Inside the Shinra tower in the process of rescuing Aeris they make a new friend named Red XII. After rescuing Aeris they were caught, and thrown in jail, when they escape from their prison cells they find everyone dead, and something in the lab called Jenova gone. Once they escape from Midgar they travel to cosmo canyon where they discover Red XII's real name is Nanaki, and that mako energy is actually where soul's go,and it's proper name is the lifestream.
Afterwards they travel to Cloud's hometown which according to himself, and Tifa was burned down by an evil man named Sephiroth. They actually meet Sephiroth in the basement of Shinra mansion. After their encounter with Sephiroth, a man that was sleeping in the basement named Vincent joins their group. Later on they run into a man named Cid in rocket town. After that they end up in Wutai and gain a new ally named Yuffie. When their in a place called the village of the ancients Sephiroth kills Aeris. Once they enter a place called the crater Cloud finds the real Sephiroth in some kind of crystal, and gives him something called dark materia. Once he gives it to him the place caves in and he falls into the lifestream. At this point Tifa and the others board Cid's airship 'the Highwind' and go search for a way to find Cloud. They actually find him in a small town at the doctor's office in a coma.
Eventually, the town has an earthquake, and goes under. When this happens Tifa falls in with Cloud's body, within the lifestream Cloud recovers his memory, and discovers that the memories he held within him were mostly a guy named Zack's memories. On top of that Zack is already dead, because of Sephiroth. During their continuing travels they defeat all of the monsters called Weapons that were released when Sephiroth received the dark materia. Finally, the president of Shinra, Rufus, gets killed along with everyone in Shinra HQ. And, Sephiroth used the dark materia to summon meteor to destroy earth. But, before she died Aeris summoned Holy to attempt to save the planet from destruction.
Once the barrier is broken they head into crater yet again, but this time they reach the planets center and face off against Sephiroth. After they fight him everyone thinks he's dead but Cloud can feel him. So, he heads into a the lifestream and defeats Sephiroth for good. When he reappears with the others they think that the world is doomed as they watch meteor fall from the sky, but luckily Holy holds it off until the lifestream comes and destroys meteor saving the planet from total annihilation.
