The garage was completely black. The only source of light was the lightening flashing outside. Mush was lying on the cool, concrete floor in the corner of the garage. He hit his head on a shelf which caused him to black out for a second. Everything in the garage looked kind of fuzzy. A few seconds later Mush heard the door slam open and heard Mr. Spadelli scream.

"Mush! Are you okay? Where are you?" Mr. Spadelli said going over to the fuse box.

"I'm fine Mr. Spaghetti. I'm over in the corner." That was weird. His voice had changed. In fact it sounded girlish. He couldn't make out the figure that was approaching him. It looked familiar. He was a young boy wearing a 'Hattan baseball T-shirt, baggy jean pants and huge Nike shoes. Why did he look so familiar to Mush?

"Lexie are you okay?" Mush yelled. Once again his voice sounded girlish. It almost sounded like Lexie's voice.

"I'm fine Mush." Lexie yelled. "Why does my voice sound like this?" She asked. Her voice sounded different as well. In fact her voice sounded almost like Mush's.

"Oh no, please don't tell me it happened." Mr. Spadelli said trying to turn the lights back on.

"Hope what didn't happen? And who is that standing over there? And why does my voice sound girlish?" Mush asked trying to figure things out.

"Got it!" The lights finally came back on. Everything suddenly came clearer now. Mush suddenly felt goose bumps run down his arms and legs. He couldn't believe his eyes, and he couldn't breathe. The kid that looked so familiar to Mush looked exactly like him!

Mush tried pinching himself to see if he was dreaming but he soon realize that he wasn't.

"Ahh! Mr. Spadelli! Why am I looking at myself?" Lexie said staring at herself. Apparently she saw the same thing as Mush.

"Um, you guys have switched bodies." Mr. Spadelli said quietly. "Mush you're in Lexie's body and Lexie you're in Mush's body."

Mush looked down to see what he was wearing. He saw a blue flowered tank top, a short jean skirt and blue flip-flops.

"Wow, you have nice soft legs." Mush said rubbing Lexie's legs. Lexie (who was in Mush's body) came over and slapped him.

"I was just kidding." Mush joked.

"Mr. Spadelli, turn us back!" Lexie demanded.

"See that's the problem. My machine isn't done yet. I haven't found a way to turn you back to normal."

"So you mean that I'm stuck in this grotesque body?" Lexie said pointing to Mush's body.

"Hey now! I worked hard on that body. Don't you dare mess it up." Lexie got a smile on her face (well actually Mush's face.) Mush knew she was coming up with a plan. "Besides, I have boobs." Her smile faded. Mush grinned because he could just as easily blackmail her.

"Oh my god! I've become Mush! Talk about a fate worse than death!"

"Hey!" Mush yelled back.

"But you don't understand Mr. Spadelli! I can't be Mush. Everyone will hate me. This is the worse thing that ever happened. Besides I have the science fair in two weeks!" Lexie yelled.

"Now Lexie, hopefully I will have it ready by then, but for now, you just have to deal with it."

Lexie stared back at herself and didn't say a word.

"I want my body back!" She yelled. Mush slid his hand into Lexie's jean skirt's pocket.

"Hey!" She yelled. Mush pulled out a compact.

"What is this?" He asked.

"Use it and you die."

"You mean you die." A smirk grew on Mush's face.

"Argh!" Lexie stormed off in Mush's body.

"Bye Mr. Spaghetti!" Mush yelled chasing her.

Outside the weather had cleared up. The rain had stopped and the sun was shining through the clouds.

"Lexie!" She stopped and turned around. "I'm sorry about this but I don't like it either, so we both just have to deal with it."

"Thirty-two Elmwood Drive." She responded.

"Huh?" Mush asked.

"That's my address."

"Well thanks for telling me. I'll be sure to stop by sometime." He said heading towards the door of a two story house.

"No Mush, that's your house." He turned around.

"No, that's your house." He responded back. "This is my house."

"And what will your parents do when they see a girl walking in claiming she's Mush?" She crossed her arms.

"Argh! I don't want to live in your house." He yelled.

"Deal with it." And with that Lexie walked into Mush's house.

"But that's my house." Mush said under his breath.
