What a crummy body! This is a nightmare. What am I gonna do about my friends? They aren't gonna believe me. Mush thought.
Finally Mush reached Lexie's home. She lived in a fairly nice house. It was two stories. The outside was all white stone. There was a three car garage, a large wooden door, and a sign that read "Home Sweet Home."
"Wow. This girl is rich." Mush headed towards the door. He took a deep breath and walked in. He couldn't believe his eyes. This was the nicest thing he had ever seen. Along the wall were pictures upon pictures of Lexie. It seemed like it started from Kindergarden until now. There was a huge chandelier above Mush's head. There were wooden stairs that wrapped around the head upstairs. There was a hallway that seemed to lead to the dining room.
Everything was incredibly neat and organized. The books on the bookshelves were arranged from biggest to smallest in alphabetical order. There was a big screen TV in the living room with what looked like surround sound.
Mush remembered what Mr. Spadelli said to him, "Try putting yourself in their shoes. See life through their eyes." Was this my punishment? Do I really deserve this? Mush thought.
"Lexington Anne, is that you?" A voice called from the kitchen. Mush's eyes got really big. He just remembered he would have to live with other people.
"Um, yes, um, mom."
"Lexington Anne, I thought I told you to call me mother."
"Sorry mother." Mush said. Mother, he mouthed.
"Dinner's ready." Mush ran out of the living room and into the dining room. He was expecting to find pizza or something but instead he found something else.
"Come eat." Lexie's mother said. Lexie had a very pretty mother. She looked very young. She was about 5 feet 2 with long curly blonde locks. Her eyes were sky blue and she was supermodel thin. She wore a long pink dress with an apron.
Mush looked up at the food and he turned his nose up, not realizing he was doing it.
"What's wrong?" Lexie's mom asked.
"Um, what is that?" He asked pointing to whatever was on the table.
"It's your favorite. Egg plant casserole." Mush's eyes bulged out. I'm not eating that! He thought.
"No thank you mother." He turned around to head towards Lexie's room but realized he didn't know where it was. "Um, I know this is stupid but where's my room?"
Her mom just looked at him, like he was crazy.
"Upstairs, second door on the right." She gave him a weird look.
"Thanks." Mush said heading towards his new room.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Lexie walked into Mush's home. Mush didn't live the nice life that Lexie did. Everything in his house was brown. The carpet and furniture were brown. The walls were made of wood. Everything looked like it came from a second hand store.
There were pictures but most of them were dusty. The TV looked as if it was from the 80's.
"This place is a dump." Lexie said under her breath. She walked into what seemed like the dining room.
"Well hello there sweetie." The women who Lexie guessed was Mush's mom came over and kissed her son's forehead. "How was school?" She asked.
"It was good," Lexie said.
"I'm sorry sweetie but I won't be able to make dinner for you tonight. I have to meeting at the library." She said.
"That's okay. I'll find something." Lexie said looking around.
Mush's mom looked a lot like Mush. She had thick curly hair, big brown eyes, short and very plump. She was extremely nice. Lexie wondered what his dad was like.
"I'll be home soon sweetheart. Remember to do your homework." His mom said as she left.
"She was very nice." Lexie said going over to the cabinets. She opened them up to barely find anything except for a can of peanut butter.
"I guess I just won't eat." She left the kitchen and preceded upstairs. She walked into what she guessed was Mush's room.
The room was a mess! Clothes were everywhere. All over the floor, his desk, his bed, even his ceiling fan. Lexie noticed some pictures on Mush's nightstand. She went over and looked the pictures over. Most were pictures of Mush and girls; another was of Mush, Kid Blink, Skittery, Racetrack and Jack. The second to last one was of Mush and his mother.
"Awe." She said looking at it. The last picture faded her smile. In a heart shaped picture frame was Lexie.
"Gosh." She pushed the pictures down on its face so she couldn't see it.
She continued to exam his room. His favorite color must have been forest green because his bed sheets, walls, even carpet were a forest green color.
Lexie could also tell that Mush like football, especially the Green Bay Packers. His desk was filled with Green Bay Packer pictures, figurines, and newspaper clippings.
Lexie noticed a small box under a bunch of clips. She pulled it out and wondered if she should read it. She opened it up slightly and couldn't believe what she was reading.
"Mush keeps a diary?"
