I am but a lost soul searching for my savior because the devil unjustly took me away. I cannot rest. The devil created me once again so that I may only be the shell of who I once was. I still cannot rest. I am a ghost in the world of the living searching for a purpose, yet I have not an objective to call my own, except for one. You are my purpose.
You were always my purpose.
I'm like your shadow, gently following you wherever you go. I watch you silently, my presence made known only by the darkness I cast. I live by you, side by side, though you don't realize that as much. We are one, yet we are separated by a line. In the morning, I watch you go and I am with you. And when it is night, I am everywhere around you, wrapping you in my unlit veil. Yet, you don't notice.
I am here.
I chase you across the stars. Then, in one moment, you stand still. And for one moment, I stand still. And it's as if… time has merely stopped. The world has stopped spinning. You sense another presence that which is mine. I hide behind the trees. I wish you could find me, and yet, I pray you don't. I am only known as the phantom in your dreams.
I am not real… if only I was.
Then you leave.
And time goes on without you knowing… I am here. I've always been here… waiting and longing. And I'll wait for forever if I have to. It doesn't matter. The world doesn't matter.
All I ever wanted was to be with you…
But that wish will never come true, will it?
No… It won't.
But that doesn't matter.
I'll spend the rest of eternity watching you, caring for you, needing you.
I'll watch you in my shadows as you bask in the light.
As long as I'm near you…
Nothing matters.
