WHY NOT 19
Kakashi knocked on Naruto's door. He did not show up for his assigned class and Iruka had told him to go fetch him from his house. Iruka had asked him how his chat with Naruto went the other evening.
"What chat?" Kakashi had asked, confused. "Naruto never came over last night."
Iruka then sighed and told him to go check up on the blonde. He gladly did, because he wanted to see Naruto again. He wouldn't admit it, but he liked him in ways that exceeded the teacher-student relationship. He worried that perhaps Naruto was troubled and afraid to approach him. He'd bring the topic up and find out what was ailing the blonde.
No one answered the door, so he let himself in. He was greeted by the sight of a rather messy living room, with a table that had fallen on its side on the parquet floor. He also noticed four jars of sake and frowned. Naruto had been drinking? Not one drop was left in any of the jars. He briefly wondered if Naruto could hold his alcohol down well.
He suddenly heard groaning down the hall and went to the room it originated from. He found Naruto laying on the bed, shirtless, his torso and neck covered with a thin coating of perspiration. His face was slightly flushed and his head was thrown to one side, exposing a lot of his neck. Kakashi found the sight – arousing!
"Shit." He cursed and Naruto let out a long groan that sounded as if he were pleasured. "Damnit, he really has no idea how attractive he is." Kakashi mumbled and gently shook Naruto. "Oi, Naruto. Wake up."
Naruto shivered in such a way that Kakashi felt his cheeks turn hot. Blue eyes met his dark ones and for a moment, Naruto looked like a vision after sex.
"Oh crap. Now I'm seeing him in reality." Naruto mumbled then blinked. "SHIT!" He yelled and sat up immediately. He let out a pain filled groan when his world suddenly spun wildly around him and began to give out little pain filled noises.
"You were totally smashed last night huh?" Kakashi asked.
Naruto felt acid rising up his throat. Not wasting a precious second more, he jumped off the bed (mind you, the movement only made his head hurt even more), headed straight for the toilet, bowed to almighty white porcelain and puked his guts out.
Kakashi winced. "Oh my." He mumbled and headed for the kitchen to prepare the antidote for a hangover. Naruto was still heaving his guts out by the time he finished making the drink. He waited patiently by his bedroom, setting the glass on the side table. Five minutes later the heaving stopped and the shower was turned on. Kakashi busied himself by arranging the bed and then sat on it and stared out the window. Naruto stumbled out of the bathroom, clutching his wet head, waist covered with a large towel, grabbed some clothes out of his closet, headed back in to the bathroom and came out dressed. He flopped back on the bed, hiding his head under the pillow.
"You did not show up for your class today." Naruto let out a tired groan from under the pillow. "Iruka told me to come check on you. Here." Naruto lifted the pillow and found Kakashi handing him a glass filled with some sort of brownish-red liquid. Naruto looked at Kakashi as if he had grown another head. There was no way he was going to drink that crap. "Take it down in one gulp. It will help with the hangover."
Naruto grumbled and took the glass, swallowed it in one gulp and paled.
"Ugh!" He shoved the glass back to Kakashi, who immediately took it. "I think I just drank tar." A few seconds passed and Naruto blinked. "Hey, that's good stuff. I don't feel so horrible anymore."
"That's good." Kakashi placed the glass on the table. "Naruto, is there something you want to tell me?"
"Eh?" Naruto stopped rubbing his head and looked at him in puzzlement.
"Iruka asked me how our 'chat' went last night. So I was wondering if there was something you wanted to say."
Naruto just remained unmoving, staring at Kakashi. He took in his looks, how he was dressed in the traditional Jounin/chuunin uniform, mask in place. He noticed how his hair looked softer than it implied and how it shone under the sunlight. Kakashi's dark eye radiated intensity under the lazy I-don't-give-a-damn attitude. He was lean, had broad shoulders and strong limbs. While Naruto stared at him blankly, his mind was doing somersaults and recapping all the dreams he'd had of Kakashi – how Kakashi would kiss him deeply, how his hands would touch him gently and how their bodies would slide against each other. Naruto swallowed suddenly as he found himself admiring his teacher. Kakashi blinked as Naruto's cheeks began to color, images of R rated content flashing through his mind. Naruto caught himself in time before he lost it completely, blinked away the images that blinded him and looked up at Kakashi's eye.
Was it possible that Kakashi would feel something for him, even just a little bit? Naruto felt his chest hurt at the thought of Kakashi not liking him, but he pushed it away. He'd dealt with things like this all his life right? People not liking him and all.
But why did Kakashi make it seem all the more painful?
